Trick or Treat ~ Smell my Feet!

If you are looking for my Twist of Faith Challenge Post--please scroll down!

It is the 15thof the month and that means we get to show off another Dueling Darlings challenge. Our hostesses for October are Paola for the Divas and Judy for the Dazzlers.

Judy and Paola wanted us to create a Halloween card.  This is one holiday that has yet to be represented by a duel.  I love to make Halloween cards and I send them every year to family and friends,

I really loved all of the papers Judy sent--from one of my favorite lines--My Mind's Eye!  We also received some cute embellishments--buttons, ribbons, brads, stickers--many, many fun items to bling up a Spooky Card!

Here is the inside of my card.

Judy also asked us to share our views on Halloween.  I love the holiday!  I have quite a few decorations around the house and pumpkins sitting on small bales of straw on the steps to the front door.  We have been adding one new decoration for the past couple of years--it is fun to open the boxes each year and try to remember all of the items were purchased.  My favorite part of Halloween is the day or night of Trick or Treat.  We live in a subdivision in the country that has about 30 homes.  The parents walk around with the kids or pull small trailers full of kids with a lawn mower or 4-wheeler.  Our house is at the top of a kind of long uphill driveway--so many of the little costumed kids are tired by the time they get to the door.

One year we were going to be gone--but we left a bowl of treats on the porch with the following note:  "Please take one of these treats so there are enough for everyone in the neighborhood.  If this bowl is empty, then the kids before you took too many........."  Yes--it was empty when we got home.

Barb, your card is ADORABLE! I love the shape thing going on inside!

And yes, I think your feet probably do stink. LOL!

Love the note you left for the children the Halloween you were gone. Sounds like it might not have worked out too well, though.

Hi Barb! What a terrific card you created from the kit. So glad you enjoyed receiving all the Halloween themed goodies in the kit. Love the way you used so many of the elements to decorate both the inside as well as the outside of your card and hope you get to create lots more Halloween cards from the leftovers!! I really enjoyed reading your views on Halloween. How thoughtful to leave treats for your trick or treaters on your front porch. I wonder what you would have seen if you had a recorder on the treat bowl! ;-)

Wow, I see what you mean about the DPs that Judy sent you - they are great!! The spider one does give me shudders though LOL.

Especially love the inside and how you die cut the black shape and added the sweet little ghosty and Boo! sentiment. Very cool.
