The Calendar Girls Shop!

It is the 28th of the month, so I am here to welcome you to another round with the Calendar Girls! We are now well in our fourth year of posting and it has been a blast.  Wonderful Challenges--Great Fun--Sweet Creations--and Awesome Friendships!

Who are the Calendar Girls? We are a group of bloggers who want to have a place where friendships blossom, creativity abounds, and encouragement prevails! In keeping with that dream, this blog group has been created so we will have a place to interact and enjoy being fellow bloggers.

Jeanette has been gone much of the month of November, so I tossed out an idea if we need a challenge theme for the month.  Jeanette then added some additional information when she came home and we now have a combo theme:

Barb’s IdeaIf we need a theme--can I toss this out? How about Shopping? The 28th is Black Friday--we can make a card about anything dealing with shopping--stamps, shoes, presents, dining, crowds, etc. Just a thought if there is nothing planned.

Jeanette’s Thoughts
Now, that is NOT to say we are to actually buy anything for our November CG project. Instead, we'll create cards (or whatever) that have a shopping type of theme. Tee Hee! I'm seeing all kinds of possibilities - including cards that would hold gift-cards for gift-giving, images of shopping-bag laden women, gifts under a Christmas tree, etc. This is going to be fun!

I have a few stamps related to shopping, so I thought that would be a perfect theme for Black Friday!  I also had some cute designer paper with designer purses in my stash--Bingo!  I am sure this sentiment will be shared often today!

Here is the inside of my card with another shopping sentiment!

I hope the other Calendar Girls like my card!  AND--they enjoyed a challenge or choice of challenges this month !

Mystery Revealed ~ Pizza

This card is for a Mystery Swap on SCS. A group of us are doing a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same mystery image, sent to us by the hostess. This swap was created by Forest Ranger—Jeanette and we are now ending our second cycle.   Jeanette is the hostess this month and she picked a cute image for a newer stamp set to her by Sugar Pea Designs.   Jeanette will swap the cards--then send us the next image, which I provided this time.  I can't wait to get the swap cards back to see how everyone else used the same image. Then everyone gets to do it all over again with my image!

I thought this image was too cute and I knew I wanted to do a Z-fold card to highlight the Pizza Themed Paper!

Here is the card partially opened so you can see the heart scallop punch that I used on the edge--if the pizza is a heart, I did need to use a few more on the card!

Here is the inside of my card:

Three Musketeer's Inaugural Card

This is my first post for a new adventure--The Three Musketeers!  Interesting name, right.  Well--check out this picture.............................

Can you tell who these individuals are?  Jeanette is on the left and Kelly is on the left; and yes, I am in the middle.

This was an idea of Jeanette's and it is a form of a mystery swap, with the three of us. I am not sure who came up with the name and the picture--I think it was Jeanette.....  But, it was my idea to have one of Kelly's daughters photo shop our faces into the image Jeanette found.  I understand while she was creating, she was laughing her butt off and when Kelly saw it, she did the same!  Well--I know when it was sent to me, I laughed very hard myself!  So, here we are!

Each month, one of us will send the same stamped image to the other two ladies and all three of us will created a card.  We are only getting the image--no additional items. We hope to post the 9th of each month, but that may change in the future.

Jeanette started out our journey and she sent us this cute Sugar Pea Designs Image.  I fussy cut the image and layered it over background paper with autumn words. The top is an embossed background of fall leaves.   Jeanette sent the sentiment along with the pumpkin image I added to the inside of my card.

I hope both of my pals like my card this month! I sure had fun making it and am excited to be a part of this new voyage!  Is that what Musketeers go on? A Voyage?

Here is the inside of my card:

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of very cute cards. This will be a fun escapade and I hope you come back and join us next month. It will be my turn to send the images and they already have them.  I picked out a bit of a challenging image, so I am excited to see what my two friends create!
