It is the 15th of the month and that means we get to show off a new Dueling Darlings challenge. For the September Challenge, Tracie and I decided on the theme. Yes, I am one of the hostesses this month! Tracie is one of the Darlings and I am a part of the Diva team!
This theme this month is: "Owls and Halloween". Tracie and I have a couple of themes that we considered, but we both like owls and decided to put it along with a Halloween themed card!
I sent my team a Peachy Keen image from a stamp set I have had for a number of years, but have not used. It s so cute, so I thought it was about time! I also sent a number of ribbons, orange and black brads and a few pieces of the Night Owl Designer Series paper from Stampin' Up, along with a sheet of a cute Around the Block-Color Me Halloween, which I used as the background on my card.Tracie and I also asked our team to share one of their favorite Halloween Memories. I remember when I was young that I talked my parents into taking me to trick or treat in two of our local towns. We lived on a farm in the country, so no place close to go. There is a very small town--maybe 2 blocks square--a mile away and I felt there were not enough house. So, I convinced my parents to take me to the town where I went to school, grades 1-4, which was 7 miles away. That town was also small, but about four times larger, so a bit more candy was to be had!
Here is the inside of my card:
I hope all of the Darlings enjoy my card.
