Challenge Your Stash

It is the 28th and that means a new post for our group on SCS.  This is post #3 for Challenge Your Stash!

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group by the 5th of the month and the card is due to be posted on the 28th.  The challenges can be a color challenge or a sketch challenge or a technique challenge or a combination.  Then, each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Shelly posted our March challenge--a recipe.  Make a sympathy card, use some green on your card and embellish it with three of something.

I used a Gina K set, along with a set of Nestabilities for the frame that I have not used in a long time.  I also used a very old Stampin' Up designer series paper for the background--Porcelain Prints.  And the, three green candy dots on brads!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards today.  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSMAR.  You might see many cards there is you do a search.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Creative Card Chicks Post

This is one of my cards for March's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month.  Sue is the hostess this month and sent everyone items to make two cards--this one and the one below.  Sue sent two kits--one with this darling bird image along with a tag kit.  She challenged us to make a tag and we could add it to a card.  The tag is actually green, though it photographed as black.

The Creative Card Chicks to post our cards between the 21st and 23rd of each month--so if you check the blogs on my sidebars today or in the next few days, you may see more of these wonderful creations!  Many of our members also post their card in our SCS thread--so you might find more there.  Kelly is up for the March Challenge so please come back to see what image she has sent!

Here is the inside of my first card.

This was a fun kit and I hope Sue and the other Creative Card Chicks like my card.

From the Herd

This card is for a Mystery Swap on SCS. A group of us are doing a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same mystery image, sent to us by the hostess. This swap was created by Forest Ranger—Jeanette and we are now in our 39th round!  Linda is the hostess this month and she sent everyone this great Stampin' Up image.  Linda will swap the cards and send everyone the next image, which is being sent by Carol. We then get to do it all again, for round 40!

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Linda  and the other swappers like my card.  If you check my sidebar on the left, you might see some other swappers who have posted their cards.

Up, Up and Away

It is March 15th of the month and that means I am showing you a new Dueling Darlings card.  For the March Challenge, Darlene and Laura Jean decided on the theme--Would You Like to Ride on my Beautiful Balloon!  Darlene is one of the Darlings and I am a part of the Diva team, which Laura Jean is on!

Laura Jean sent us a couple of My Favorite Things hot air balloon images and three great sentiments.  Some of the balloons were already die cut and some were on stamped on a quarter sheet.  She also include some wonderful patterned papers and matching embellishments. Laura Jean said this is one of her favorite MFT sets and I can see why!  I used two of the die cut balloons and made a z-fold card.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope all of the Darlings enjoy my card this month. Please be sure to stop in to see what all of the Divas as well the Dazzlers have created this month.

There are a few members who do not have blogs:  Suzy and Terry S who both are on the Diva team, and Terry A, Paola and Debby who are Dazzlers.  You will be able to check out their creations in their SCS gallery, if you click on the link for their name.  All of the others should be found on my left sidebar.  I am sure you will enjoy all of the wonderful creations this month!

Kelly ~ Reading Book

It is time for another The Three Musketeers post. We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the image that Kelly sent for this month for Card #30!  All three of us sure have enjoyed the challenges every month for more than two years and hope that it continues for a few more!  Jeanette is up next for the April challenge.  Be sure to come back to see what we create!

For our card this month, Kelly sent us this cute image that is just perfect.  It is a new to her stamp company and is an hour away from where she lives in Florida.  And--her name is Kelly and she is a bookworm!  This is a great image for us to color up and it makes me smile as it so reminds me of Kelly.  It seems that many of the images we pick each month are some that makes us all smile!!!  I hope Jeanette and Kelly like my card and they too are smiling!

Here is the inside of my card:

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards!  They may post today, or it may be upcoming, so be sure to check out their blog for their card!
