Punch Art Birthday Present


It is the 28th of the month, so I am here to welcome you to another round with the Calendar Girls! We are now in our fourth year of posting and it has been a blast.  Wonderful Challenges--Great Fun--Sweet Creations--and Awesome Friendships!

Who are the Calendar Girls? We are a group of bloggers who want to have a place where friendships blossom, creativity abounds, and encouragement prevails! In keeping with that dream, this blog group has been created so we will have a place to interact and enjoy being fellow bloggers.  Paola is the hostess this month and she posted the following challenge:


For the month of August, I would like to challenge everyone to embrace the PUNCH ART tecnique...yup, dust off your punches Ladies!
PLease feel free to use a stamped sentiment of your choice , but the main focus is being creative, using punches .

I went with a familiar punch art project I did a few years ago.  I love this birthday card, shaped as a present, with all of the loops of "ribbon" on the top!

Coffee and Chocolate


This is the second of the two cards I made for Julie's Caffeine Swap on SCS.  I have many, many stamps with a caffeine theme.  That must mean I love caffeine--coffee, lattes and chocolate are at the top of the list!  This stamp is a Crackerbox Palace stamp.  This is a local stamp store about 45 minutes away.  They have some wonderful stamps and most of them have a humorous side to them!

Dueling Darlings Friends




It is the 15thof the month and that means we get to show off another Dueling Darlings challenge. Carol and Melina are the Darlings who came up the theme for August.   Carol is a Diva and Melina is a Dazzler. 

The theme for this month is  "Friends are the Family we Chose for Ourselves".  This is in keeping with the anniversary theme of being together for four years!

I laughed out loud when I open the package from Carol!  First, the image made me hoot and then there were about 5 or 6 different sentiments for us to chose from.  Then--the papers--lavender and purple tones.  Those are so not Carol and probably not me either.  But onward.......................
