Keep Looking Up!

This is my card for the April Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 16th month of de-stashing--we are well into year #2!

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group and the card is due to be posted on the 28th. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Sue posted our April challenge--April Showers Bring May Flowers ~ Use flowers and/or showers.

I went with a couple of coordinating stamp sets from The Stamps of Life and also used the matching die set.  I love this stamp and die set--it is perfect for the April Showers!  I colored the rainbow with my Copics and used the die to cut out the image.  I also cut out another set of clouds to add to the rainbow.  I layered the rainbow on an embossed panel, using the Stampin' Up Cloudy Days embossing folder. I punched the sentiment out with a Stampin' Up punch and layered over a red ribbon.  A few pearls finished the card.

This was a fun card to make--thanks Sue for a fun challenge to use items in my stash!

Christmas in Moon Beam Meadow

This is my March-April card for the Christmas CraZy group on SCS.  This is our  second year of this fun group.  I am so happy that Pansy took over in 2018 for the group that Jeanette had organized last year.  We each receive a card kit from another person in the group and made a card with the image and papers sent.

This round, I was matched with Angie and received a great kit with a cute Crafter's Companion image.  I think this image is just adorable!  Angie also included some sweet patterned paper.  I hope that Angie and the others like my card!

Since it is the 25th of the month, I thought it was a perfect day to post. It is only 8 months until Christmas Day!
