Masculine Graduation

Today is the 28th of the month and it is the day I post a project for our Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 23rd month of de-stashing-we are coming to the end of our 2nd year into our challenges.

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group and the card is due to be posted on the 28th. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Maggie posted our November challenge--Make a masculine card and use a die on it.

I used a die that I purchased last spring that I thought would make a cute graduation card and used some masculine paper too.  I added the word "Congrats" from another die in my stash!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards today or in the next few days.  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSNOV.  You might see many cards there is you do a search.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For December, Jody is up and I cannot wait to see next our theme.  Be sure to check back to see what we create on the 28th!

Gallery Gazers CASE

This is my November card for a newer blog group that I am a part of on SCS. It is called the Gallery Gazers and was created by one of my good friends on SCS, Jeanette--Forest Ranger.  You all know her as one of the Three Musketeers and a part of Ready, Set Go, both groups also including Kelly.  No surprise, Kelly is also one of the members of the Gallery Gazers too.  The premise behind the group is friendship, a shared love of stamping, and also a shared admiration for the many amazing creators who post in the SCS Gallery. Once a month, we are each to choose a card/project from the SCS Gallery to CASE--Copy and Share Everywhere. This post is the card I made after being inspired by Yvette (YvettesArts on SCS) card found Here!

I loved the look of the snowflake banner inset on the card and I just got this same stamp and matching dies a week ago.  It was time to ink it up and use some of the silver Mirricard paper that I got last weekend at a stamp show in Madison.  I am always nervous to stamp a sentiment right on the card, like for a CAS--Clean and Simple Card.  I really did not want to heat emboss the sentiment on the card after I did all of the die cutting, so I did it on another piece of cardstock and layered it on a piece of of the silver metallic cardstock.  I liked the card so much, I made 15 of them with a bit of a different layout for a swap at my LSS called Polka Dots.  That card will be on my blog on December 4th.

I had fun creating this card and I am behind in making cards for this group.  I am missing an October one and will hope to post two in December!  Be sure to check back and see what I make.  There is not set date to post our creations, so check back often!

Lettered and Lovely

This card is for the monthly swap that Pam hosts on SCS.  Each month we make 10 cards and include a matching envelope.  They can be any theme for any month.  All of the swappers are wonderful and I have received awesome cards each and every month.

I inked a new Gina K Designs set.  I think everyone can use a friendship card!

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Pam and the others swappers like my card this month!

Thanksgiving Grateful

Happy Thanksgiving!  Wishing you a Blessed Day!

This is my card for November's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month.

Suzy is the hostess this month and sent everyone a couple of sweet fall images from the Stampin' Up set called Always Thankful.  Suzy included some great  sentiments too. She also sent patterned paper along with some wonderful fall embellishments.

Here is the inside of my card:

The Creative Card Chicks are to post our cards between the 21st and 23rd of each month--so if you check the blogs on my sidebars, you may see more of these wonderful creations! Many of our members also post their card in our SCS thread--so you might find more there.  We do not post a card in December, so be sure to come back and join us again in January!

Ready, Set, Go!

Today is the third Wednesday of the month and that means a Ready, Set, Go Challenge Card! The 3 Musketeers (Jeanette, Kelly and I) are back with another challenge this month--our 18th month!  We are now coming to the end year #2!

Kelly provided the challenge for November: Typically in November, we gather together with friends and family and celebrate the bountiful harvest with gratitude and thanksgiving!  And that usually includes lots of food :)  No need to loosen a button or unbuckle the belt for this month the RSG!

For the crafty side of November, we’re going to show portion control!  On this month’s card, use only a portion of your image!  No full stamping ... only part of your image can be on the paper.  For example, have a large flower stamp? Set it off the the edge of the paper!  You can add more than one - creating a collage effect if you like - but no full images, including only highlighting part of it like a spotlight technique (as the full image is visible below it.)  Have fun choosing your image and enjoy keeping the portions Lighter! At least for your cards ;)

Blessings!

I inked up a Stampin' Up stamp set that I really like--Day of Gratitude--and the name even fits the theme and challenge. I thought the images would be good for a background and I also used one of oldie but goodie stamp sets--Graceful Words.  I am not sure if I was only to use a portion of that sentiment too--but I did "cut" off the ends of the image........................

Here is the inside of my card:

Please be sure to check out the other Ready, Set, Go cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card and that you might too! I up for the next theme, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on the 3rd Wednesday in December!

Holiday Line-up!

This card is for a Mystery Swap on SCS. A group of us do a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same mystery image, sent to us by the hostess. This swap was created by Forest Ranger—Jeanette and we are now in our 49th round!  Darlene is our hostess this month and she sent everyone this funny Christmas image. In fact, she sent us two sets of three different images from this retired Stampin' Up set! She will swap the cards and send everyone the next image, which Laura Jean picked out! We then get to do it all again, for round #50, in January!

I picked this card to post as I loved the expression on the faces of these guys!  I added the north pole brad, in case Rudolph's nose did not know the way.  I added a bit of sparkle to his nose with Wink of Stella!

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope all of the mystery swappers like my card.  If you check my sidebar on the left, you might see some other swappers who have posted their cards today or in the next few days.
