Love & Cheer

Happy New Year's Eve!!!

This is the 53rd week of A Card a Week Challenge--not sure how I came up with 53 weeks, but maybe because 2019 started and ended on a Tuesday! This is my final card for the year.  December was to make a card for any holiday.  AND-I have already made the decision to continue this in 2020.  I will use the same themes each month--so be sure to join me in 2020!  Posts will continue to be every Tuesday, all year long. Here are the themes for each month:

January ~~ Fancy Fold card
February ~~ Use a Sketch from SCS
March ~~ Use the weekly Alphabet Challenge from SCS
April ~~ Make a CAS--Clean and Simple card
May ~~ Use Embossing on a card
June ~~ Use a new Technique for a card
July ~~ Make a Christmas Card
August ~~ Use a SCS Color Combo
September ~~ Make a CASE Card of SCS Featured Stamper
October ~~ Masculine Card
November ~~ Use only Die-cuts on a card

December ~~ Make a card for any Holiday

For my final card for December, I made a card for the New Year.  The sentiment is from Hampton Art and I have had the stamp for a long time.  It is stamped with Brilliance Galaxy Gold. The background is Stampin' Up's Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I added Bermuda Bay Mini Chevron Ribbon along with a pair of gold wine glass brads.

I really like the look of this card and hope you do too.

Here is the inside of my card, with a sentiment by Amuse:

I hope you will stop back for the next Tuesday to see my first creation for my 2020 A Card a Week Challenge!  January is Fancy Folds!

Happy Birthday Denise!

Today, The Project Bin's Design Team is celebrating the birthday of Denise, the owner and designer of The Project Bin.  In honor of Denise's birthday, her design team is hosting a blog hop to showcase her wonderful stamps!

I’m the second to the last stop on birthday hop.  Denise is Kind, Caring and such a Sweet Lady.  I am able to say those words as I was blessed to meet Denise in person last summer when we visited the Washington DC area. I’m thrilled to be part of this birthday hop because birthdays are so much fun when you get to celebrate wonderful people!  Denise, the wish I have for you on your birthday today is to celebrate in style, laugh often, hugs those you love and enjoy some awesome cake!

The next person on our fun hop is Tracie-and I am sure she has a sweet card for you to check out!  If you just came to my blog, you might want to start at the beginning of the birthday blog hop with Kelly's amazing blog.   You also should stop at The Project Bin Blog to wish Denise a Very Happy Birthday!

I used the Born Yesterday stamp set from The Project Bin to create this card today.  I love this set as it has some fantastic sentiments:

Denise, I hope you get to smile, giggle and belly laugh on your special day and make sure to hug your wonderful hubby and sweet son!    `

If you haven't seen the stamps at The Project Bin, there is truly something for everyone!   Whether it's sweet and inspiring, or whimsical and fun, The Project Bin has it all - perfect for all your card making needs.  And, many of the stamp sets come with coordination dies--how cool is that!

Here is the inside of my card:

Are you ready to hop?  Here is the link again to Tracie's blog and Kelly's blog too if you want to start at the beginning,.  We hope you enjoyed hopping along with us as we joyfully celebrate with Denise on her special day!

And, I do hope you have enjoyed my card and will stop by The Project Bin Blog to wish Denise a very happy birthday!

Happy Birthday Denise, You Gorgeous Lady!
Cheers to you and many more!

Cheers!

Today is the day I post a project for our Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 36th month of de-stashing-we are finishing our 3rd year into our challenges.  I am a day early in posting as I have a special post tomorrow on the 28th!

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group and the card is due to be posted on the 28th. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

I posted our December challenge--Make a card using only your dies!

I used two dies that I am not sure I have used in the past.  The background is a Tim Holtz die called Swirling Stars.  I cut it out of Night of Navy cardstock and then embossed the piece with a Stampin' Up Folder called Subtle Dynamic.  The Cheer word is a MFT-My Favorite Things Die that I cut from Harborside Mirri Sparkle from The Paper Cut.  That same cardstock is the layer behind the stars.  There is more sparkle that shows in the picture!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards in the next few days.  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSDEC.  You might see many cards there is you do a search.  They probably will be posted tomorrow or later due to the Christmas holiday!

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For January, Laura Jean is up and has already posted a fun theme.  Be sure to check back to see what we create!

Christmas Eve Blessings!

I hope you have a Blessed Christmas Eve!

This is the 52nd week of A Card a Week Challenge. One card a week--for 52 weeks--with a preset challenge for each month. This is my final month and December is to make a card for any holiday.  AND-I have already made the decision to continue this in 2020.  I will use the same themes each month--so be sure to join me in 2020!

For my fourth card for December, I made a Christmas card from a single image from Stampin' Up called Wonderful Blessing. I embossed the image with gold embossing powder. and cut it out along with the Night of Navy frame with my Spellbinders Nestabilities Circle Dies.  The background is from The Paper Cut called Gold Mirricard.  I ran it through the Stampin' Up Dynamic Embossing Folder called Stylish Stripes.  I added Night of Navy Seam Binding Ribbon.

I really like the look of this card and hope you do too.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope you will stop back for the next Tuesday to see my final creation for my A Card a Week Challenge!  Even though this is the 52nd week, there is one more Tuesday to go!

Sleigh Bouquet

This is my card for the 47th round of the Unidentified Image swap on SCS.  It is a group of ladies who are a part of a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The unidentified part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted.   The image for this round was provided by Me!  I will swap the cards and include the next image that Jody sent in their return envie. And then we get to do it all again--for round #48--in February!

I sent everyone this cute Taylored Expressions image called Sleigh Bouquet.  I love all of the detail in the flowers in the sleigh. I colored the image with my Copic Markers.  I added some Echo Park Paper from the Celebrate Christmas line called Holly Jolly.  Garden Green Twine and Red Enamel Dots are the added embellishments.

Here is the inside of my card, with a retired Stampin' Up sentiment from Sincere Salutations:

If you check some of the other blogs listed on my sidebars, you may find some other swappers who have posted their creations yesterday, today or in the upcoming days. You can also check out SCS and use the keyword UIS47 to see some posted there.  I hope everyone in the swap likes my card--and that you do too!

Wonder Women!

Today is third Wednesday of the month and this is my Ready, Set, Go Challenge Card! The 3 Musketeers--Kelly, Jeanette and me--are back with another challenge for December-our 31st month!  That means we are well into our third year--YAY!

I provided the challenge for December: In 1976, on December 18th, ABC debuted a new series called Wonder Woman.  Each of us are Wonder Women—in our own individual and unique ways.  The challenge is to make a card or project that you feel depicts how you see one of the other of our trio is a Wonder Woman.  I went alphabetically:

Barb will make a card/project that highlights Jeanette
Jeanette will make a card/project that showcases Kelly
Kelly will make a card/project that portrays Barb
Ready? Set? Go!

I thought for a bit about this challenge and knew exactly what I wanted to highlight about Jeanette--Christmas and her love of the Blessed Season of the birth of baby Jesus.  Jeanette loves to decorate for the holidays though she will admit at times she feels the pressure to do so!  She has now picked up a part time job and that has taken her away from her house during this busy season.  I am sure her house is beautiful and she has numerous trees that twinkle and shine!

I used a retired Stampin' Up image called Prince of Peace and die cut the image and background with the Stampin' Up Deco Label Dies.  The background is patterned paper from Teresa Collins called Snowflakes from the Christmas Cottage line.  A few glimmer enamel dots add a bit of shine.  Jeanette is a Wonder Woman in this time of Wonder!

Here is the inside of my card.

Please be sure to check out the other Ready, Set, Go cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card.  Jeanette is up for the next theme, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on the 3rd Wednesday in January!
