It's A Hug!

This fun card is using the new Trinity Stamps Folded Hugs Stamp Set along with the Sending Hugs die--I love this combo!  AND--the sentiment is so true!  I stamped the image and colored the corners with my Copic Sketch Markers. I then die cut the word Hug three times with ROY--Red, Orange and Yellow!  The background is an embossing folder from Stampin' Up called Falling Petals.
I think this is a fun card.

Here is the inside of my card, with a strip of washi tape:

Scratch My Back

Today is the day I am posting my card for our Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 81st month of de-stash and we are into our 5th year of our challenges.

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Shelly posted our April challenge--Kiss Your Mate Day is April 28th. Lets make cards showing a kissing couple, a couple in love, even love for a pet!

I picked a fun image from Whipper Snapper Designs called Scratch My Back.  I colored the fun image with my Copic Sketch Markers. I then die cut the image with Gina K Designs Master Layouts 2 and added a layer of Early Espresso with another die from the same set.   The background is a Stampin' Up embossing folder called Hammered Metal--looks like giraffe spots!  The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Strips set.    I added some Studio Katia Clear Drops for the final touch!

Here is the inside of my card, with a strip of washi tape:

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards in the next few days. There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSAPR.  You might see many cards there if you do a search.  They probably will be posted today or in the next few days.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For May, I am up for our challenge.  Be sure to check back to see what we create then!

Easter Gnome

Here is another card for my new monthly challenge for 2021--At Home With Gnomes. Each month I will create a card using one of my many gnome images.  I did miss posting a card for March, so this is my second one for April.  Now I am caught up!

For this card, I picked one of my gnome stamps from Whipper Snapper Designs called Easter Gnome. Isn't this a sweet gnome?  I colored this cute image with my Copic Sketch Markers. I cut the image with a Whimsy Stamps Stitched Rectangle die and layered it with a pink panel.  The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions. The patterned paper is from Bella Blvd Simply Spring called Hippity Hop. Some pink
ribbon is the final touch!  I think this is a fun card.

Here is the inside of my card, with the backside of the same pattered paper:

I am sure I have more than enough gnome images to use a different one each month.  I will be back in May and will show you another gnome, so stay tuned!

Sealed With Love

This card is a fun mini-slimline card that I made with some sweet Taylored Expressions products.   I first decided the use a Taylored Expressions Mini-Slim Square Window Die.  I sponged a polka dot stencil with various colors of blue Taylored Expressions ink cubes and my TE Blender Brushes.  I then used the window die.  The stamp set is also a Taylored Expressions called Snail Mail and I picked two of the cute images along with a cute sentiment.   I colored the images with my Copic Sketch Markers and tucked them behind the windows!  I think this is a fun card, with a teal and blue theme!

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope you too like this fun mini-slimline card!

Double Duty-Avery Elle

Here we go.  This is month #4 of another challenge for the trio of stampers—Barb, Jeanette and Kelly!  This is our 7th challenge that the three of us are doing together! This was a thought that I had in the middle of the night, similar to what Kelly has had in the past.  Plus, it is a bit of offshoot of our Stamp What Challenge! This one is called Double Duty!

Each month, we get to pick a stamp set from a predetermined company. Then, we will use that one stamp set and make two cards from the set.  Different images and sentiments from the same set can be used, or use the same image two different ways—Double Duty either way!  But, as an added challenge, one item must be used on both cards—same color cardstock, same ribbon, same stencil, same something.  Double Duty Again!  We will post both cards on our blog on the the 22nd of each month.  See-Double Duty again!  We will be sure to have fun getting doubly inky each month with a different stamp company.  Let’s have fun!

For April, the company that I picked was Avery Elle. They really have some sweet images, many different varieties and many have coordinating dies.  I picked the cute floral set Spring Bouquet--and it has a matching die set!    I love the image and coordinating sentiments!

For both cards, I colored the bouquet with my Copic Sketch Markers.   I also decided I would use an embossing folder on both cards, as the second part of the Double Duty!  I also embossed the words "Wishing You A" on black cardstock and added a different sentiment on each of the two cards.

For my first card, I embossed the background cardstock with my Stampin' Up Tufted Embossing Folder--one of my favorite folders!  I die cut the image and then picked the sentiment Wishing You a Speedy Recovery.  I then added mini-pearls where each of the diamonds met and love the final result!

For my second card, I also die cut the image and added some linen thread around the bouquet.  The embossing folder is also from Stampin' Up called Polka Dot.    This time I added some yellow enamel dots for this Birthday card!

I had a number of Double Duty elements on these cards.  I used the same image and coordinating die, Copic Sketch Markers and an embossing folder.

Here is the inside of both cards:

I hope you enjoyed my card for our group.  Please be sure to check out the other Double cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog-they may post today or tomorrow, so be sure to check back.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of sets of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card. Unity is the company we will use in May, so be sure to check back to see how we double up and make two cards on the 22nd!

Body Parts Highlighted-Slimming Stripes!

Today is the third Wednesday of the month and this is my Ready, Set, Go Challenge Card! The 3 of us, Kelly, Jeanette and me, are back with another challenge for April, our 48th month!  That means this month is the start of year #5 for us--WOW!

Kelly provided the challenge for us this month: Body Parts!Last year, I had news that I needed  medical hip surgery.  Although I was bummed, I turned that frown upside down by thinking - let's make the best of it and have some fun with body parts!  Sometimes they bend and breakor need to be repaired.   Good thing we have an entire rest of our bodies to lean on!

Your challenge this month is to create a card using a (as in one, SINGLE) body part. You may chose any stamp company/image you like but it can only show one body part. And because we're creative and often use the rule of 3's, let's take it up a notch!  Your body part can only be on 1/3 of the card!  The other 2/3 of the space you can use however you like, or not at all, and use whatever papers, EF, techniques, etc., you like. You may also include one sentiment. Think outside the box, get as creative as you like and most of all, have fun - now let's get Ready, Set, GO!

Hummmmmmmmmmmmm.  Another great challenge that had me thinking!   I knew I had a Santa image sticking out of a chimney, but I did not want to highlight a butt as the body part!   I then thought of this cut witch image from Endless Creations-a local company in Green Bay, Wisconsin. So--here are legs as a body part!    I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers.   I paper pieced her skirt with some Memories for Life Frightful & Furry patterned paper--vertical stripes are very slimming!  The background is a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder called Spiderweb.  The sentiment is from a Paper Pumpkin kit, but not sure of the name.  I did not meet the requirement of the image only taking 1/3 of my card--visualize a mini slimline and then it works!

Here is the inside of my card, with the same slimming stripes!

Please be sure to check out the other Ready, Set, Go cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card. I am  up for the next theme, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on the 3rd Wednesday in May.

Graduation

This is my April card is for the monthly swap that Pam hosts on SCS.  Each month we make 8 cards and include a matching envelope.  They can be any theme for any month.  All of the swappers are wonderful and I have received awesome cards each and every month.

I inked up one of my favorite lines of wood mounted stamps--Paper Inspirations Graduate Calligraphy.  The background paper is from Bo Bunny Pop Quiz-Chalkboard.   I added a strip of black satin ribbon and a few rhinestones are the final touch.  I think everyone can use a graduation card.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Pam and the others swappers like my card this month!

Doodle Flowers

This is my card for the 55th round of the UIS--Unidentified Image Swap on SCS.  Yes, the 55th round!  It is a group of ladies who are a part of a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The unidentified part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted.   The image for this round was provided by Tracie!  She will swap the cards and include the next image that I sent in our return envie. And then we get to do it all again--for round #56--in June!

Tracie sent everyone this beautiful Taylored Expressions background image called Doodle Flowers.  She asked us to add a sentiment and I picked another Taylored Expressions stamp from the Drop A Line set.  I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers.  It was so fun to color up all of these sweet flowers.  I die cut the floral background with my Gina K Designs Master Layouts 1 and added the black border.  The sentiment was die cut with The Paper Cut's Stitched Ovals 1 and 2 set.  A few Studio Katja clear dots were the final touch!

Here is the inside of my card, with the strip of washi tape:

If you check some of the other blogs listed on my sidebars, you may find some other swappers who have posted their creations--due date is today, the 18th--or they may post in the upcoming days. You can also check out SCS and use the keyword UIS55 to see some posted there.  I hope everyone in the swap likes my card--and that you do too!
