TPC Creamy Dreamy

Today is the last day of November and I am posting a set of cards for our challenge-The Catch-up Club!  A few of my stamping friends, Darlene, Jeanette and Terry along with myself, have signed up for a number of virtual stamping events in the past 3+ years.  One of the benefits of these events are that they are available to rewatch or even watch for the first time at a later date as they are all recorded. The 4 of us "try" to watch live and chat by texting during the event.  But, life steps in and there are times when one or more of us are not participating during the live.  Then, the kits from sponsors sits in our stamping area until we are ready to watch the video and create.  During one of the events, we decided we needed to push ourselves (and each other) to get some of these events done!   So--we all decided to devote one day a month, the last day of the month for the somewhat procrastinators that we are, to post cards we missed making.  So--here we are in our 8th month of The Catch Up Club!

Reminder--these are not my own designs!  The cards are the designs of the other instructors from these classes.  I am just recreating the cards from the class. This month the creations are again from Sarah and The Paper Cut in Appleton, WIS!

These cards are from a class held during the warehouse sale virtual week back in September called Creamy Dreamy Christmas Cards. All of the cards use some  Impression Obsession dies, along with some die cuts from The Paper Cut.  All of the beautiful cardstock is also from The Paper Cut.  This class did not have any stamping--all die cuts. And, the sweetest colors!

Sarah offers many different kinds of classes through the year and kits can be ordered from their website.  I have a few other virtual classes from The Paper Cut that need to be completed.  Plus I have a virtual event from Pinkfresh Studio and also need to complete the SCT classes.    I have many cards to complete coming up this winter--so stay tuned.    I am already way behind, so more Catch Up to Come!

I hope you enjoyed my cards!  Here are the links to the other of the Catch Up Club.  Please be sure to check out Jeanette's, Terry's, and Darlene's blogs.  They may post today or tomorrow, but we have all promised to post cards that we have missed the making along the way!

White on White

Today is the day I am posting my card for our Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 83rd month of de-stash, so we are coming to the end of our 7th year of challenges.  I cannot believe my thought about using what we have is now 6+ years old!   I really like these challenges and know they will continue as I know I have many, many items in my stash that I can use and love the fun challenges!

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Vicki posted our November challenge--Make a White on White card.

I really like white on white cards, but I do not make them too often.  I thought this would be a perfect time to make a Christmas card!  I picked some Sizzix dies for the card.  The background is a Tim Holtz Sizzix Swirling Stars die.  I then used 2 dies from the Tim Holtz Sizzix Dash Away All--the sleigh and the moon.  I cut three of each piece and layered for dimension over the background.  I tried a few sentiment dies, but they did not look right, so it is plain!

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards in the next few days. There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSNOV.  You might see many cards there if you do a search.  They probably will be posted today or in the next few days.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For December, Lisa is up for our challenge.  Be sure to check back to see what we create then!

More Fall Cards from The Paper Cut

Happy Thanksgiving--I hope you have a Blessed Day!

For the past 2 weeks, I have been making cards from kits that Sarah from The Paper Cut in Appleton, has created.  I have done both Fall/Thanksgiving cards along with Christmas cards.  These three cards are from a class from last Thursday--getting caught up!

This was a Fun Time Thursday kit called Thankful Cards.  Everything Thursday night, Sarah is live on Facebook and You-Tube making a card or two.   Once a month, on the second Thursday, she makes a kit available for purchase and we can craft along.  I typically do not do these events live as I rarely craft in the evening, so I am happy they are saved to craft when I get to them.   In this case, just a few days later

All of these card use products from The Paper Cut along with stamp sets and some dies from Impression Obsession and Rubbernecker.  The top left card is called a Semi Funky Fold Accordion and it has lots of fun layers.  Here are 3 more pictures of the fun card:

The card on the right used alcohol inks for the colorful panel below the leaf cover plate.  The slimline showcases some of the pretty patterned paper that The Paper Cut offers.

I really like all three cards and I really love Sarah's classes!

Reminder--these are not my own designs!  These cards are the designs from Sarah and The Paper Cut in Appleton, WIS!   I am just recreating the cards from the class.

Thoughts & Reminders

Here we are--this is the Double Duty Day!  This is the 35th month, so we are getting to the end of year #3

Each month, we get to pick a stamp set from a predetermined company. Then, we will use that one stamp set and make two cards from the set.  Different images and sentiments from the same set can be used, or use the same image two different ways—Double Duty either way!  But, as an added challenge, one item must be used on both cards—same color cardstock, same ribbon, same stencil, same something.  Double Duty Again!  We will post both cards on our blog on the the 22nd of each month.  See-Double Duty again!  We will be sure to have fun getting doubly inky each month with a different stamp company.  Let’s have fun!

For November, the company we picked was Altenew. They make some really pretty floral stamps with matching dies and sometimes stencils along with embossing folders.  However, they also have some very fun sentiment stamps and I picked one called Thoughts and Reminders. I went with a very simple card to highlight the inspiring message.  True Confession------I have had these two cards done since early spring as I misread our monthly calendar.

I picked the colors of cardstock and then the matching ink for the sentiment.    I die each of the sentiments with Gina K's Master Layouts 2 along with the backer.   For both cards, I used an embossing folder.   I then added some bling for the final touches.

For the card on the left, I used a Sizzix 3D Art Deco Embossing Folder. The black and white colors are perfect for the sentiment.  I added some black Taylored Expressions Drip Dots in an arch in the embossed part of the background.

For the card on the right, I picked a Tim Holtz Brickwork Texture Fades Embossing Folder. This time to colors are monochromatic--Bermuda Bay and Cool Caribbean.  I added some colored pearls around the frame.

Again, both cards use an embossed folder and my Gina K Designs Master Layouts 2. The star of the cards should be the encouraging sentiment, so just a bit of bling around the frame.

I hope you enjoyed my cards for our group.  Please be sure to check out the other Double Duty cards. Here is a link to Jeanette'sDarlene’s  and  Carol's blogs.   I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of sets of great cards.

Next month we are using MFT-My Favorite Things--should be some cute cards.  So be sure to check out our cards on December 22nd!

Shiny Merry Christmas

For the past week or so, I have been making cards from kits that Sarah from The Paper Cut in Appleton, has created.  I had a package of "parts & pieces" from a previous kit that had 10 Brushed Silver card bases and the Crystal Diamond Glitter layer.

I decided to add a Blue Mirricard layer in which I die cut the Lawn Fawn Giant Merry Christmas out of the middle before layering.  I then embossed the top panel with a Spellbinders 3D embossing folder called Adorning the Tree.  I added some blue rhinestones for the final touch!  This is a very simple card, but it really has a lot of sparkle and shine!

Fall Cards from The Paper Cut

For the past week, I have been making cards from kits that Sarah from The Paper Cut in Appleton, has created.  I have done both Fall/Thanksgiving cards along with Christmas cards.  These three cards are from a class from last November!  I guess they have been sitting in my box for a bit.......................

This was a Fun Time Thursday kit called Fall Cards. In this case, a year later!

All of these card use products from The Paper Cut along with stamp sets from Impression Obsession.  The top left card is called a Semi Funky Fold and it has lots of layers on the panels.  Here is a picture of the card opened up:

The turkey card on the right is a Flip-it card and this is it opened:

The final card is a slimline and we used alcohol inks for the colorful panel.

I really like all three cards and I really love Sarah's classes!  I mailed a few of these cards yesterday for Thanksgiving!

Thankful Thoughts

Today is the 15th and this is my card for our The Creative Crew!  We are a group of 7 and all one team--Jeanette, Carol, Darlene, Lorraine, Terry, Tracie and me. Each month will be a new challenge posed by one of the members sending out a kit.  This month Lorraine is the hostess and sent us a sweet kit with the theme Thankful Thoughts.

Lorraine stamped this cute CTMH image called Autumntime.  She also included two sentiments from Stampin' Up and I placed one on the inside. I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and backed it with some of the brown Bazzill that Lorraine included.  I wanted to showcase both of the patterned papers she sent, so I made a flap card. I added some of the embellishments around the card and a bow at the top. This was fun card to make!

Here is the inside with the sentiment.

I hope all of The Creative Crew Gals enjoy my card this month.  Please be sure to stop in to see what fun crafty cards are posted this month.  All of the blogs can be found on my left sidebar.  Our teammate Lorraine does not have a blog, so please check out her card in her SCS gallery.   I am sure you will enjoy all of the wonderful creations this month!

We will be back in December with the image Darlene will be sending out.  Be sure to check in with us on the 15th to see what fun she has planned!

Hot Mess ~ Success

Today is the the 12th and it is time for another Hot Mess card. These two cards are number 54, so we are into year #5. The idea of Hot Mess ~ Success is to Get Messy and you will have Success!  Messiness can be almost anything that we come up with--glitter, alcohol inks, glimmer glitz, sponged backgrounds, etc., anything that is a bit messy.  We are a very fun group and will post a card each month on the 12th.  The links to the other members are on my left side bar and I will also link them at the bottom at this post.

For this month's messiness, I decided again to make two cards.  While I was messy, I might as well make two! The messiness this month was Purple Mist Metallic Gilding Polish made by Creative Expressions, applied over an embossed image.

For both of the cards, the background is black cardstock and I used Stampin' Up Embossing Folders.  The Thanks card used the Exposed Brick folder and the Birthday one is Parisian Flourish.  I then took the Purple Mist Gilding Polish and gently rubbed the color over the top of the embossed panel.  The Thanks is from Concord & 9th called Big Thanks and is layered three times.  Lawn Fawn makes thes Giant Happy Birthday to You and I offset a layer of a black die cut under the two layers of purple.  I added some Trinity Midnight Ball dots around the cards for a bit more shine.

I really like the look of my cards and hope you do too.  I also sure hope my fellow messy ladies like them too!  Here are the links to the other somewhat messy crafters:   Carol, Darlene, Jeanette and Terry.   I am sure you will enjoy seeing how everyone got messy this month and was successful in making some great cards!   Be sure to check back to see what we are up to on December 12th.

Frosty Friends

Today is the 9th and it is now time for another The Three Musketeers post. We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the Hello Bluebird Frosty Mornings image and sentiment that Jeanette sent out for our November card, #111! That means we into year number 10 with this fun challenge! 10 YEARS--WOW!!!!! All three of us sure have enjoyed the challenges every month and we hope that it continues for a long time! And, we will be back in 2024!

Jeanette sent us this sweet image a month that  I colored the with my Copic Sketch Markers. I used a Gina Marie Stitched Square die for the image and sentiment.  I backed both of them with Pecan Pie. I then picked out the background paper that highlights coffee beans. I used my Gina K Designs Master Layouts 2 die to cut the background and the flag banner on the side. I added a few gold sequins for a bit of shine on my card.   I hope Jeanette and Kelly along with you enjoy my card!

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is the link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards!  Kelly is up for our December challenge.   Please be sure to join us again.

Thanksgiving

This is my November Crafters of Faith card, I mean cards!  This is a sweet group on SCS that Faye hosts.  Lisa is hostess this month and gave everyone this challenge:

Scripture:   Psalms 136:1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever.

Challenge: Make a card showing thankfulness, or use Thanksgiving as the theme.

I needed to make Thanksgiving cards for my Human Concerns Team at my church.  We give grocery gift cards to 24 families from our sister church in Milwaukee and I make the cards for mailing.  I love this sentiment stamp and have used it many years in the past. I inked the Paper Inspirations Thanksgiving Calligraphy with my Taylored Expressions Chocolate Truffle ink.  The patterned paper is from Heritage Makers and Our Memories for Life called Thanksgiving!  I added some brown ribbon and gold sequins for the final touches.

I hope you and the others from the Crafters of Faith group like my card this month! We are to post on the 7th of each month, so if you look on my sidebar, you may see other creations.  I know that there will be many posted in the COF thread on SCS too!  Sharon has our December challenge, so be sure to check back!
