Coffee and Chocolate!

It is the 11th of the month and that means it is time for my card for the monthly themed swap that Terry is hosting on SCS--or it was to be posted on the 10th, but I had another card to post.  Each month she will post a theme and we make cards using any stamp set we believe follows that thought. This is our 43rd month and the theme for August is "Guilty Pleasures".

I went with a perfect sentiment by Crackerbox Palace Stamps that has two of my favorite guilty pleasures listed!  I do love my coffee or latte every morning and indulge on chocolate a bit too often.............  I am sure there will be some wonderful cards this month.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Terry and the others swappers like my card this month too! Terry has already posted the September theme.  Be sure to come back in to see what we create!

Nancy Gardens!

It is time for another The Three Musketeers post. We are to post on the 9th, but I had a design team card yesterday, so I decided to post today.  Kelly and Jeannette were probably on time and posted yesterday!

We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the image that Jeanette sent for August--for Card #60!  That means we nearing the end of year #5--can you believe that?!  All three of us sure have enjoyed the challenges every month and we hope that it continues for a long time!  I will be up next for the August challenge.  Be sure to come back to see what we create!

For our card this month, Jeanette sent us this sweet CC Designs image called Nancy Gardens.  I think she sure is cute in her bibs and hat with her colorful watering can.  I have a yellow watering can that I used every Monday to fertilize our flower pots and baskets!  I hope you enjoy my card and the summer flowers!

Here is the inside of my card:

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is the link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards!  Again, they may posted yesterday or maybe today, so be sure to check out their blogs for their card!

Leopard Jungle Landscape!

Here is my August Crafters of Faith card.  This is a great group that my friend Kelly started on SCS. This is our 32nd month, so we are well into year #3. Jen gave everyone this challenge:

Scripture: I've chosen part of the scripture that I read at my Gram's funeral this April. It will always have special meaning to me. Revelation 21. For the challenge I'm focusing on Revelation 21:2-3 "I also saw the holy city, a new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with the human race. He will dwell with them and they will be his people and God himself will always be with them [as their God]."

Challenge:
Use a city scape or some other landscape on your card.

I thought a bit about this challenge and last week I organized the majority of my clear stamps and moved them from closed boxes to open bins on shelves.  I saw this cute Laurel Burch stamp by Stampendous called Leopard Jungle.  I decided that this is the "landscape" that I wanted to use, a Jungle-scape.......

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Jen along the others from the Crafters of Faith group like my card this month!  We are to post between the 7th and 10th of each month, so if you look on my sidebar, you may see other creations.  I know that there will be many posted in the COF thread on SCS too! Jeanette is up for our September challenge, so be sure to check back to see what I create!

Is That a Silver Peacock in Bermuda?

This is the 30th week of A Card a Week Challenge. One card a week--for 52 weeks--with a preset challenge for each month. August is to use a Color Challenge from SCS.  Every Tuesday I will post a card that fits the theme of the monthly challenge.

I picked Color Challenge #749 for my first card in August.  It is to use Pretty Peacock, Bermuda Bay and Silver.  The title on SCS is Is That a Silver Peacock in Bermuda?

I thought these were fun colors and I wanted to be sure to highlight silver.  I used a Memory Box die to die cut the fun circles and added a banner with the sentiment.

I really like the look of this card and hope you do too.

I hope you will stop back each Tuesday to see my creation for my A Card a Week Challenge!  For the month of August, I will be using a different color combo from the SCS color challenge forum.  Be sure to check back to see my what colors I used for my next card!

Bikes and Trikes

This is another card made with my new Taylored Expressions Blender Brushes.  I love how smooth the ink goes on and I love my holder for them too!

The stamp set is also a Taylored Expression set called Bikes and Trikes--and I have the coordination stencil. I used a MFT stencil that I got a Junkie Fest, along with the Blender brushes and holder.  I took a class with Taylor, of TE and we got a set of brushes free!  Isn't that wonderful.  Taylored Expressions is such an awesome company and truly live their motto--Share Joy!

One + Twelve

This is my One Plus Twelve, month eight!  This is the brainchild of Kelly and she asked Jeanette and me to join her in this challenge. We are to use just one stamp, to make a card every month--but we may add a sentiment if we want!  One Stamp/Twelve Months-here we go into our 8th month of one plus 12.  We are to post on the 3rd of each month, reflecting the three of us and our three challenges we currently do together--3 Musketeers, our first challenge along with Ready, Set Go and now this one! And, there will be a new challenge coming in a bit over a week--and we have added an 4th person for this new group.  Be sure to check back on the 12th to see what we are up to now!

As a mentioned for my first card in January,  I picked my favorite Stampin Up set--Lovely as a Tree.  It is now retired and it does make me a bit sad.........  For my challenge this month, I used my new Taylored Expressions Blender Brushes and some Tim Holtz Distress Ink for the background.  It is not as smooth as I would like it, but I think it just takes more practice!

Here is the inside of my card:

Please be sure to check out the other One plus Twelve cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog. I am sure you will enjoy checking out what stamp set is picked and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card and that you might too! We will be back each month, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on the 3rd of September.
