Birds of a Feather, Flock Together and DDD

If you are looking for my {PIN}Spirational Card, please scroll down.

It is the 15thof the month and that means we get to show off another Dueling Darlings challenge. Kelly and Jeanette are the Darlings who came up the idea for this group four years ago next month, so this is a special challenge.  Kelly is a Diva and Jeanette is a Dazzler.

The theme is Four!  Well--really the theme is Birds of a Feather, Flock Together........................  But, four is also significant!
Kelly challenged us in a variety of ways this month!  First, we are to use 4 of the "things" she sent in the kit.  Not one of four different "things" to total four--but four of one item.  OK--I think I have that--times three.  (had I added another banner, it might have been four times four!).  So--can you count the three sets of four?  Four of the patterned paper flowers/butterfly, four of the pearls and four items perched in the tree.  OK--I am sure both Tami and Jeanette will say there are five as there are eggs in the birds nest...............  But--I say four and that is what-who counts!

Second Challenge--use the piece of burlap that Kelly included somewhere on our card. Kelly loves burlap and if you have been to her blog lately, you will notice it on many of her cards.  I used is for the base banner and that is also a shout-out to her as many of her cards also showcase banners.  Barb--remember to use banners more as they look nice and use of small pieces of patterned paper........

Third challenge was the image we received.  The kit came with a tree trunk and two tree tops.  I still have no idea how the tops go onto the trunk, so I will be so excited to see if any of the other Divas used one of them.  We also were given the images of things to go on the branches, so that is what I did.  I also fussy cut the tree to be able to show off the branches even more.

I hope Kelly thought I met all of the "requirements" she posed for us this month.  This was a fun card to make and I did love the challenges!  I also so appreciate the friendships that this group has inspired and I am so lucky to be a part of it and happy that Kelly and Jeanette created this awesome team that stimulates our creative talents every month!

Proud Boy Bookmark

I am back again with another project for the Melonheadz Challenge.

http://melonheadzfriends.blogspot.com/

The theme for this challenge is Tags or Bookmarks

It runs from July 7th to the 20th

Nikki from Melonheadz, has many sweet images of children available--it was a hard choice to make for a tag or bookmark.  But, I thought this proud little guy, showing off his paper with "Good Job" noted on it, was perfect!  This can be used as a bookmark along with a book as a gift for a child, or a tag on a present.  I hope you like my project today!  It is a bit hard to see as it is a dark color, but the brad in the corner is a purple crayon.
