It is the 5th of the month, so I am back with the 5th Challenge of the Crafty Gals! We are a group of bloggers who have monthly challenges, caring comments & fun chit chat on SCS—our favorite stamping site to visit.
This month, the challenge was posted by Diane. Here are the details:
"April Showers bring May Flowers"
Since April is supposed to be a rainy month in most of the country, I thought we would try a "water" challenge. My challenge to you is to incorporate water in some way on your card. It can be rain, puddles, ocean, sea, beach, lake, bathtub or anything else you can think of. In addition to the water, I want you to use ribbon, brads and patterned paper on your card. I can't wait to see your creations and I hope you all enjoy this month's challenge.
I have quite a few images that fit this description and found a newer one that has not seen ink yet. I think this is such a cute image and I really like the raindrop designer paper. I made a square card so I was able to incorporate all of the components.
I used crystal effects on his boots, so they looked like he had been playing in the puddles.
The sentiment on the inside is perfect for this image.
Image/Sentiment—Penny Black Sunshine in the Rain; Whipper Snapper Friends are Umbrellas
Cardstock—Gina K White; Stampin’Up Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Daffodil Delight; Echo Park Walk in the Park Raindrops patterned paper
Ink—Memento Tuxedo Black; SU Chocolate Chip
Accessories—Copics; Yellow Button & Bakers Twine; Yellow Brads; Yellow Grosgrain Ribbon;
