Calendar Girls ~ Happiness

It is the 28th, so I am here to welcome you to another round with the Calendar Girls!

Who are the Calendar Girls? We are a group of bloggers who want to have a place where friendships blossom, creativity abounds, and encouragement prevails! In keeping with that dream, this blog group has been created so we will have a place to interact and enjoy being fellow bloggers.    And—we have a new member this month—so please welcome Linda when you check out her blog!

Our
January Challenge was posed by Miss January, our own Jeanette:

This is a PHOTO INSPIRATION Challenge. But there’s a catch! You have to choose your own photo.

I want you to find a photo – it can be a picture you’ve taken (of a family member, a scenic drive, a food you’ve cooked, whatever) or it can be a picture someone else has taken. Maybe you even found it on the internet. After you’ve chosen the PHOTO you want to use, create a card/project inspired by that photo.

Of course on your blog post – when you show us your creation – we also want to see the photo that inspired you.

I thought this was a great challenge—however I did it backwards.........….  (No comment Jeanette!)  I found a stamp that I wanted to ink up first and then went online to find a picture that I could use as inspiration.  Since you saw the image on the card—you will know there are lots and lots of pictures online that I could choose from.

Here is the photo that was inspired by my stamp…………………………..

Image/Sentiment—Impression Obsession Hot Air Balloons; Stampin' Up Warm Words

Cardstock—Gina K White; Stampin’ Up Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, In Colors Patterned Papers Pack

Ink—Memento Tuxedo Black; SU Island Indigo

Accessories—Copic Markers; Blue Button with Blue floss; 3/8 Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon; SU Punches

Please check out the blogs of all of the Calendar Girls—there are 10 of us, so it might take you a bit.   I am sure you will enjoy all of the creations inspired by photographs! All of the blogs are listed on my left sidebar. Thanks for joining us!!!!!!!

  2. Barb, great card and I'm learning from many of you that there are photos on the internet, lol. I was so focused on pictures I had taken, the thought never ocurred to me that I could work with other pictures, too. That's why I'm the newbie here. I love hot air balloons. They always have such bright beautiful colors and look so peaceful floating in the sky.
