It is the 15thof the month and that means we get to show off another Dueling Darlings challenge. Our hostesses for October are Tami for the Divas and Darlene for the Dazzlers.
I used one of the great tractor images in one of my favorite Stampin' Up sets--Tractor Time. Many SU lovers know that set is an older retired set and can be hard to find. I admit that I did get my set on eBay a few years ago and I know I paid a pretty penny (dollars) for it--but I really like to use the set for masculine cards! I used three of the buttons Tami sent and stacked them on top of each other and completed the pile with one of the orange rhinestones. I also layered two green ribbons on the red panel under the tag.
Here is the inside of my card. I think I am an overachiever as I used a tag on the inside too.....................
Tami and Darlene then asked us to share a funny holiday story about someone masculine in our life. I am not sure I have a story that fits...... As many of you know I grew up on a farm and have many tractor memories from my dad and older brother. I really do not remember any "funny" stories as it seems all I remember from the farm was lots of hard work!

ReplyDeleteYour card turned out so cute. I really like the way you used the embellies.
You KNOW I would have been kicked off the farm. They just get up way too early for me! LOL
Great job this month on the duel!
What a wonderful card Barb, I love how you did the inside as well. Great job on both the inside and outside. I really like how you stacked the buttons very clever and I will have to put that in my memory for a later date. (hope I remember). Living on a farm is hard work as I used to visit many of my friends and even helped milk cows a time or two. I am so thankful we are duelers together. ♥
ReplyDeleteA fabulous masculine card!

Love the way you showcased the tags both inside and out with the terrific tractor image on the front and the birthday sentiment on the inside. BTW, I would have loved to have that SU tractor set the other day for a card I was making! LOL
Oh, Barb, this card is sooooooo striking! I love that tractor on the tag! And what a fun way to put everything together on - both inside and out.
