Dueling Darlings Birthday Post

It is the 15thof the month and that means we get to show off another Dueling Darlings challenge. For 2015 we have shaken up the teams. We still either a Dazzler or a Diva, but our partners on the opposite team has changed.  I will be paired up with Terry and I am so excited for our challenge later this year.

For January, Judy and Debbie are the Darlings who came up with the challenge and theme for the teams this month.  Judy is a Diva and Debbie is one of the Dazzlers.  This is what Judy wrote for our team as the challenge:

Welcome to a new year full of new beginnings. Debbie and I chose "Birthdays" as the theme for the first duel in 2015. I can't remember if birthdays have ever been used as a theme before and thought it appropriate for the "Birth of a New Year"! Also I had a little self-serving motive as January is a month full of birthdays for my family and friends, as well as, my own. And I'm always looking for inspiration for creating new birthday card designs. I had a lot of fun putting this kit together and I hope you find inspiration in creating cards from all the items I included.
I loved so many of the components that Judy sent-I had such a hard time deciding what to use.  She sent us a couple of different images for us to chose from to make our card.  I went with the Stampin' Up Take A Spin image as I have never used it before.

Here is the inside of my card:

Image/Sentiment:  Stampin' Up Take A Spin

Cardstock/Patterned Paper:  Recollections White; SU Hello Honey, Cherry Cobbler; Crate Paper Patterned Paper

Ink:  Unknown

Accessories:  Aqua Ribbon; Peach button with Pink & Blue Twine; SU Spinner; Inside Tag is from DCWV

Please be sure to stop in to see what all of the Divas as well the Dazzlers have created this month. All of the blogs are on the left sidebar of my blog. I am sure you will enjoy all of the wonderful cards that have been created this month!
