Creative Card Chicks

This is my card for May's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month.

Joyce is the hostess this month and sent everyone this great Texan image for us. She also sent some patterned paper along with other cute embellishments.  It was a fun image to color up and I hope that I was able to "channel my inner Texan!"

Here is the inside of my card, with the cactus washi tape that Joyce sent:

The Creative Card Chicks are to post our cards between the 21st and 23rd of each month--so if you check the blogs on my sidebars, you may see more of these wonderful creations! Many of our members also post their card in our SCS thread--so you might find more there.  This is the final month is this round and I have signed up for another year.  Suzy is up for next month so be sure to come back and join us again in June!

  1. Barb, what a fantastic card - love the way the longhorn shows up so well against the solid circle... and your placement of the twine is fun!

  2. Great card, Barb. I like the circle behind the bull's head. It really makes a great focal point!

  3. Nicely done. You chose some great colors to use on the flowers. They all look fabulous against those dark brown stitched die cut circles. Great job!
