It is time for another Hot Mess card and this is card number 6. The idea of Hot Mess ~ Success started with Kelly making a card and using the #hotmess on her Instagram post. The general theme is to Get Messy and you will have Success! Messiness can be almost anything that we come up with--glitter, alcohol inks, glimmer glitz, sponged backgrounds, etc., anything that is a bit messy. We are a group of 4--Terry, Jeanette, Kelly and me. We will post a card each month on the 12th. Some times there is a theme-like this month. And, other times we just get creative and messy!
For this month's messiness, Jeanette issued a challenge. Make a card with sparkle for the new year! I used Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste and a great stencil from Echo Park Paper called Magical Snowfall Snowflakes for the background. I love the texture of the snowflakes and the shimmer and glimmer! I then cut MFT Thank You die three times from Marina Mist and layered it over the snowflakes for the perfect Thank You Card for Christmas Presents!
Here are the links to the other members of Hot Mess ~ Success. Please be sure to check out Jeanette's, Terry's and Kelly's blogs. I am sure you will enjoy seeing how everyone got messy and was successful in making some great cards! We will all be back each month this year, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on February 12th with a theme I provided!
