On the Third Day

Happy Easter!

This sure does not feel like a typical Holy Week and Easter Sunday.  I hope you all have been safe and are healthy!  And, sharing Easter Sunday with your close family.

And, today is time for another Hot Mess card and this is card number 9.   The idea of Hot Mess ~ Success started with Kelly and the general theme is to Get Messy and you will have Success!  Messiness can be almost anything that we come up with--glitter, alcohol inks, glimmer glitz, sponged backgrounds, etc., anything that is a bit messy.  We are a group of 4--Terry, Jeanette, Kelly and me. We will post a card each month on the 12th.

For this month's messiness, Kelly said anything goes................    With the posting on Easter Sunday, I knew what type of card I wanted to do. I saw a similar card to these a few weeks ago and wanted to see if I could get a colorful background.  I used some Tim Holtz alcohol inks for a couple of them and I sponged some Distress Inks for the others.  I used Yupo cardstock for all of the top layers.  I recently purchased the Taylored Expressions Third Day Border and die cut it from white and black cardstock.  I had wanted to use the word Hallelujah, but don't have a die.  I thought the word Peace was a good second choice.

Here are some of the individual cards:

Here are the links to the other members of Hot Mess ~ Success.  Please be sure to check out Jeanette's, Terry's and Kelly's blogs. I am sure you will enjoy seeing how everyone got messy and was successful in making some great cards!   We will all be back each month this year, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on May 12th.
