It is not a Tuesday in June, but it is time for my A Card A Week Challenge! I have another card to post tomorrow, so I am posting this a day early. This is my second card for the month, with the new theme of using a new technique. These cards are using a new technique that I learned in my Online Spring Card Camp 2, called Mono printing. I love the way these two cards look!
I used a Gel Press that I have had for a few weeks and picked four Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks--Pressed Flowers, Wilted Violet, Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap. In retrospect, I should have only picked three and skipped the Frayed Burlap. I brayed the colors on the Gel Press and then picked a leaf stamp from the Stampin' Up set Botanical Blooms. I then inked up the leaf with the ink on Gel Press and stamped in on a piece of white. I did that numerous times and was sure to clean off the stamp each time. That is background for the Wander card. Then, I laid a second piece of white cardstock on the top of the Gel Press with the remaining ink and leaf images. That is the Thank You card.
I then cut the sentiments from cardstock-each one was cut three times and layered. Thank You is a Sizzix Stampin' Up die and has some Wink of Stella on the top. The Wander is also from Sizzix and is called Shadow Script 3. Enamel Dots were the added embellishments.
