This is my October Crafters of Faith card. This is a great group that my friend Kelly started on SCS. She hosted for 5 years and now Faith has taken over for year #6. We will continue as we have in the past with each month a new hostess gives us a scripture and challenges us to make a card with that theme.
Rebekah is the hostess this month and gave everyone this challenge:
Scripture: Isaiah 44:23 Sing, O ye heavens; for the Lord hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the Lord hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.
I love fall colors and knew I wanted to make a card using Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks along with Rose Gold Alloy. I used a piece of Yupo and added four fall colors of alcohol inks, rose gold alloy and some rubbing alcohol. I moved the colors around with my Tim Holtz air blower. I then die cut four leaves (one is on the inside of my card) using my Spellbinder Leaves Dies. I added a bit more shimmer and shine by using a The Paper Cut's Copper Mirripaper as the background layer, which I die cut using Gina K Designs Master Layouts 2. The sentiment is a fun one from Whipper Snapper Designs called Loveliest Smile. I really love the colors and like the look of this card!
Here is the inside of my card, with another leaf:
I hope you and the others from the Crafters of Faith group like my card this month! We are to post on the 7th of each month, so if you look on my sidebar, you may see other creations. I know that there will be many posted in the COF thread on SCS too!
