Mission Completed

This sweet card is for a fun challenge that Jeanette came up with two years called Mission Possible!  Jeanette sent us a mystery item three times in 2020 and asked if we would accept the challenge to make a project with the items even before opening the package!  Of course, Kelly and I said yes, so the challenge is on.  In 2021, we each took turns sending an item to each other. Then in 2022 we did it again three times, each time with a different item each round!  This Will be Mission Impossible Possible!  Sadly, this will be the last round.  So, the challenge ends here.....................  We will call this one Mission Completed!

For our final challenge, Jeanette sent something for us to use along with the following info: Good Day, Ms. Card-Maker.  Your next mission, should you decide to accept it, involves the use of the items found in this package.  As in the past, you will be working alongside the same two team members. At this point, the Mission will be deemed Completed.  This message will not self-destruct in five seconds, since I have no ability to do that and besides, you might need to refer to it again at some point.  Good Day and Good Luck!

Kelly Jeanette sent us a sweet suite from Ranger and Wendy Vecchi Called Country Flower.  It included a stamp set, a set of coordinating dies and a stencil--so cool! I used a portion of the stencil to ink the dots along the left side of the panel. I then embossed the panel with my Stampin' Up Pinewood Planks Dynamic Embossing Folder.  I then inked up the flower, leaves and butterfly with some Gina K ink cubes and then die cut them.   The card base is white, so the panel is adhered directly to the base.  My sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Strip package.  I added some white pearls for the final touch!

I think I met the challenge--mission accomplished!  And--Mission Completed!  I wish to thank Jeanette for such a sweet gift to complete this round. And, to Jeanette for creating this fun challenge in 2020 along with my teammate Kelly for a great time these past three years.  We have had some fun challenges with new items received!

Please be sure to check out the other Mission Possible, now Mission Completed,  handmade  cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card.

  1. Barb, your card is so pretty - lovely touch to do the dry embossing. It really gives a lot of depth and definition to your card. Lovely color scheme, too. Thank you so much for taking on this mission possible challenge!

  2. A gorgeous card Barb - love the stencil and woodgrain background to this beautiful flower. A fitting finale to Mission Completed Challenge
I so enjoyed what you have completed with your various missions Barb and will miss seeing your results - but there is nothing as certain as change, taxes and death in this life, so I will accept this change and see what else comes along.
    Blessings
