Easter Blessings

Here we are--this is the Double Duty Day!  This is the 25th month, so we are now starting our new year, #3

Each month, we get to pick a stamp set from a predetermined company. Then, we will use that one stamp set and make two cards from the set.  Different images and sentiments from the same set can be used, or use the same image two different ways—Double Duty either way!  But, as an added challenge, one item must be used on both cards—same color cardstock, same ribbon, same stencil, same something.  Double Duty Again!  We will post both cards on our blog on the the 22nd of each month.  See-Double Duty again!  We will be sure to have fun getting doubly inky each month with a different stamp company.  Let’s have fun!

For January,  the company we are using is Gina K Designs. This is a favorite company of all 4 of us and we have kept Gina in the rotation for all three years!  The company has such awesome stamps/dies/stencil/inks, as well great customer service.   PLus, it is a Wisconsin company and Gina used to have an actual store front a few years ago.  It was about a half hour from me and I did go and "visit" often!  Gina also has participated in many virtual events in the past few years as well as her weekly lives--they are so fun!

I picked an older sweet set called Easter Blessings.  I stamped each of the images and the Easter Blessing Sentiment on white cardstock.  I colored both with my Copic Sketch Markers.

It is a very large image, so I did not feel the need for many embellishments.  I added green and yellow enamel dots to the horizontal card.

For the vertical card, I added white twine along with some Taylored Expressions Bits & Pieces Rhinestones.

I hope you enjoyed my cards for our group.  Please be sure to check out the other Double Duty cards. Here is a link to Jeanette'sDarlene’s  and  Carol's blogs.   I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of sets of great cards.

Next month is a new challenge to use one sentiment stamp from any company on booth cards.  So be sure to check out our cards on the 22nd!

  1. Barb, you've done an amazing job with Gina K's Easter Blessings set. I like how you did one horizontal and the other one vertical. Also making one a bit bolder in coloring. Lovely!
