Hero Arts & Honey Bee SCT Classes

Today is the last day of January and I am posting a set of cards for our newer challenge--Catch-up Club!  A few of my SCS and stamping friends, Darlene, Jeanette and Terry along with myself, have signed up for a number of virtual stamping events in the past 2 1/2 years.  One of the benefits of these events are that they are available to rewatch or even watch for the first time at a later date as they are all recorded. The 4 of us "try" to watch live and chat by texting during the event.  But, life steps in and there are times when one or more of us are not participating during the live.  Then, the kits from sponsors sits in our stamping area until we are ready to watch the video and create.  During one of the events, we decided we needed to push ourselves (and each other) to get some of these events done!   So--we all decided to devote one day a month, the last day of the month for the procrastinators that we are, to post cards we missed making.  They could be from a virtual event or maybe another challenge that was missed.   So--here we are in our 3rd month of The Catch Up Club!

These 2 sets of cards are from the September 2022 Crop & Create Delivered, sponsored by Scrapbook and Cards Today.  This was the 5th event by them that I participated in and am signed up for my 6th in March of this year.  Even though I will be gone on vacation for most of the next one, I am still very excited as I know I will create from the recorded classes!

These 2 cards below were from the class by Kelly Kohout for Honey Bee Stamps  This class used a fun stamp and stencil set called Always on My Mind.  It is so fun and easy to make cards with stencil bundles.  We embossed the sweet square floral stamp with gold powder and then I used Taylored Expressions ink cubes to apply different color combos on each card.  There are a number of sentiments that fit in the center of the square stamp. I added some clear drip drops on each card.   I sure will be using this set often in the future!

These 3 cards were made from a fun Hero Arts stamp and die set called Yay! Birthday Bundle, plus the Party Confetti stencil, taught by sweet Laura Bassen.  The top card used watercolor cardstock and I water colored with Taylored Expressions ink cubes.  For the bottom two cards, I used Concord & 9th ink cubes for all of the rainbow colors! I used my Gina K Master Layouts 2 and a sentiment strip die on the Hooray card.  All three cards have enamel dots as the final touch!

I still have a few more classes in my zippered bags, just waiting for me.  So, I am sure you will see a few more cards soon--and I may not wait until the end of February to post them.  I do plan to/need to get all of these done before my next box from SCT arrives!

I hope you enjoyed my cards!  Here are the links to the other of the Catch Up Club.  Please be sure to check out Jeanette's, Terry's, and Darlene's blogs.  They may post today or tomorrow, but we have all promised to post cards that was have missed the making along the way!
