A Look Back at 2016 and Blog Candy!

Happy New Year ~ Welcome 2017!

I hope you had a nice evening and celebrated New Year's Eve in whatever style you wanted!  As I have done the past few years, I am going to take a look back at my creations for 2016 this first day of the new year.   Here is my collection of my 12 favorite cards of the year--one for each month.  If you want to see the original post with the details on the card, please click on the month above the card and it will take you to the post.

I hope you enjoy this collection and a look back at 2016..........  And, if you read all the way to the end, you will see how you might be able to win my blog candy!

So--what did I learn on my look back?

~~I love to use my Copic Markers and have patterned paper as the background on most cards.

~~I posted 25 cards in May and 21 in January, February and August.  But, in December, I have only posted 8 and in September I posted 9.......  These were the only single digit months.  I think I did pretty good this past year.

~~Many of my designs are quite similar--I need to branch out more in 2017 and maybe try some sketches!  I posted these same exact words this past year, so now I really need to get on the ball and try some new designs!

What are your thoughts on the cards I picked?  Which one was your favorite?  Please post a comment and tell me what you think about my highlights of 2016.  I will chose randomly chose one person who leaves a comment and send a package of blog candy to them.  Please comment by January 10th and I will post the winner on the 12th--so be sure to check back.

Thanks for playing along, Barb

  1. How sweet of you to start out the year giving to others! I can't believe how many cards you did. I barely get out one a week. I think I like October best. Fall is my fave time of year and I just love how you did these leaves! Thanks for a chance to win! Happy New Year!!! Hugs, Robin

  5. Hi Barb - what a great review - I particularly like your May and October ones - maybe because you broke out of the box a bit - as ever your cards are beautifully made and immaculately finished.

  7. Hi Barb - my favorite is all of them (of course!) but If I had to pick one it would be Snoopy's Doghouse since it was a duel card and I love a dueler with you :) And who doesn't love Snoopy? He's so cute!

You posted a lot for someone as busy as you.......I'm going to try to use your frequent posting as inspiration to post more on my blog! :)

Happy New Year! Love - LJ

  8. Barb - What a great idea. They were all adorable. If I had to pick a favorite though it would be January. Had to be something with snow. LOL!
