A Little Help From My Friends

Today is the third Wednesday of the month and this is my Ready, Set, Go Challenge Card! The 3 Musketeers--Kelly, Jeanette and me--are back with another challenge for May, our 38th month!  That means we are into our 4th year--YAY!

I provided the challenge for June: Theme—A Little Help from my Friends!

I like to look up what happens in history on our posting date as we all have many times in the past, or what odd holiday appears on that date.  So—June 17th, 1883 is the date I am highlighting.  The Statue of Liberty arrives in New York as a gift from France.  It came in 350 pieces in 214 crates.

We all love gifts—both to give and to receive.  They can be things that we can see or feel—gifts and presents.  Or, they can be things we feel in our hearts and memories.  That is what is going to inspire our cards.  We each need to think of a “gift” we have received from each  of the other two in our trio.  I am not going to give any examples-but we now have ample time to ponder and figure out it out.  Thinking of what we have received from each of the other two in our group-use those thoughts to inspire your card. A certain stamp or company, technique, holiday,  etc.,  As I type this in my stamp room, I look around and think of both of you and see things that inspire me--thanks to each of you.

Ready? Set? Go!

I pondered and pondered a bit as I sat in my craft room.  I have numerous cards from both Kelly and Jeanette on display that I have received over the years.  Those sure are sweet gifts!  I also have many stamp sets from the design team that the three of us are on--The Project Bin.  That was an inspiration for the stamp set I picked as Kelly was an integral part of me being asked to join the DT.  Jeanette joined us a bit later.  All three of us love the great sentiment stamps Denise designs and of course I picked the set #bff!  I also picked the perfect stamp from the set as these two ladies do refresh my soul............  every single day!

I also picked some fun and colorful patterned paper from Brutus Monroe as both of these ladies have the best backgrounds!  I picked some tropical colors as a nod to Kelly in Miami!  And, there is a layer of black, as Jeanette usually does on her cards.  We all love to use dies and enamel dots--so they too are a part of my card!  Spellbinders Labels 4 dies were used and glittery enamel dots were added, along with a banner of Stampin' Up Daffodil Delight Ribbon.  I think the sentiment is the most important part of the gifts I receive from these two awesome friends!

It sure was a fun card to make and I hope Jeanette and Kelly know how much they are loved!

Here is the inside of my card, with another perfect sentiment from the same set:

Please be sure to check out the other Ready, Set, Go cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card. Jeanette is up for the next theme, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on the 3rd Wednesday in July!
