Ghost Couple

It is the 15^th of the month and that means I am showing you a new Dueling Darlings card.  For our October Challenge, Tracie and I are the hostesses. We decided on the theme-Pumpkins!   Tracie is one of the Dazzlers and I am on the Diva team--And we are all Dueling Darlings!  And, we have been doing this since August of 2010--so we are into our 9th year!

I sent out this cute image from Outline Rubber Stamp Company called Ghost Couple. I also sent some fall patterned paper along with a variety of fun embellishments. This was fun card to make and I hope the other Divas thought so too!

Big News!

This is the 42nd week of A Card a Week Challenge. One card a week--for 52 weeks--with a preset challenge for each month. October is make a masculine card--and most card makers know that is a challenge!   Every Tuesday in October, I will make a masculine card for my monthly challenge. 

For my third card in October, I used one of my favorite Stampin' Up sets called Big News.  I love the versatility of this stamp set!  And I found some great masculine patterned paper to use too!

I really like the look of this card and hope you do too.

Scardy Cat

This is another card for my own swap that I am hosting on SCS.  It is a Fall and/or Winter/Christmas swap using Penny Black or Whipper Snapper stamps.  We had a low turn out this round, which will be the last round I will host for these companies. I made two sets of Christmas cards and this fall card.

Halloween Mess

It is time for another Hot Mess card. This is card number 3, so I think I will highlight the theme again.   The idea of Hot Mess ~ Success started with Kelly recently making a card and using the #hotmess on her Instagram post.  As we were texting back and forth, she said we should come up with a new group and she volunteered me to set it up! I then asked Jeanette, part of our other three groups to join us in this challenge and I also asked Terry if she wanted to be a part of the messiness!  So--we are a group of 4 and we will post a card each month on the 12th.  The general theme is to Get Messy and you will have Success!  Messiness can be almost anything that we come up with--glitter, alcohol inks, glimmer glitz, sponged backgrounds, etc., anything that is a bit messy.  Most months there will not be a theme--like our inaugural month of August!   But, some times one of us might toss out a challenge for the group--so stay tuned!

For this month's messiness, I did issue a challenge.  Use a Halloween colors or make a Halloween card.  I used Gina K Black Glitz Glitter Gel and a great stencil from Carta Bella called Happy Halloween--Haunted Bats! I used blender brush to lay down the glimmer on the stencil.  I then used a $1 stamp from Michael's that I think I have had forever!

Friday's With The Project Bin

It is Friday, so  that means that I am back with another card for The Project Bin Stamps--A Way With Words!  Every Friday,  I post a card made from one of their great photopolymer stamp sets.  So, please plan to come back each week to see what I have created--I think you too will love these great sentiment stamp sets.  And, remember, some of the sets come with matching steel dies! Denise is the owner, founder and creator of these wonderful stamp sets.  The sentiments she has for us to ink up are just perfect for any holiday or time of year.  Please be sure to go and check them out!

Pink and Positive!

It is the 10th of the month and that means it is time for my card for the monthly themed swap that Terry is hosting on SCS. Each month she will post a theme and we make cards using any stamp set we believe follows that thought. This is our 45th month and the theme for October is "Pink and Positive".  

Since October is breast cancer awareness month, I went with a Paper Inspirations sentiment and Moxie Cure For All Awareness patterned paper.   I am sure there will be some wonderful cards this month.

Happy Birthday Alice

It is time for another The Three Musketeers post. We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the image that Kelly sent for October--for Card #62!  That means we nearing the end of year #5--can you believe that?!  All three of us sure have enjoyed the challenges every month and we hope that it continues for a long time!  Jeanette will be up next for the November challenge.  Be sure to come back to see what we create!  

For our card this month, Kelly sent us this Neat and Tangled image called Piece of Cake.  This sweet image is honoring Kelly's granddaughter who recently turned one!  

I loved coloring up this large image with my Copic Markers and wanted to let the image shine for itself on the card.  I used only one color of cardstock along with a piece of subtle patterned paper from the Party Brights pack from Heritage Makers-Our Memories for Life.  I added some Wink of Stella on the icing.  I layered the sentiment that Kelly sent over the image as I wanted it on the front!  I hope you enjoy my card!

Festive Cheer Again
