Happy New Year

This is my card for the December Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 12th month of de-stashing--our first full year is in!

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group and the card is due to be posted on the 28th. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Maggie posted our December challenge--Create a New Year's card without an alcohol theme.

I have had this stamp for a few years and I do not think it has been inked up.  I am not sure it was meant to be a New Year image--but I think it fits just fine!  I paired it with some of the sweet Stampin' Up Winter Wonderland Designer vellum.  I also used some gold embossing powder--it has been awhile since I did that too.  I think I did dig into my stash for this card!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards today or in the next day or so.  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSDEC.  You might see many cards there is you do a search.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For January, January is up and we already know her challenge.  Be sure to check back to see what we create for the start of our second year!

Maybe Christmas

Merry Christmas Eve.

This card is for the monthly swap that Pam hosts on SCS.  Each month we make 10 cards and include a matching envelope.  They can be any theme for any month.  All of the swappers are wonderful and I have received awesome cards each and every month.

I inked up one of my favorite Christmas stamp sets from The Project Bin.   I love this set and I have used it often this year to make my cards.    I think everyone can use more Christmas Cards!

I hope Pam and the others swappers like my card this month!

Friday's With The Project Bin

It is Friday, so  that means that I am back with another card for The Project Bin Stamps--A Way With Words!  Every single Friday I will be posting a card made from one of their great photopolymer stamp sets.  So, please plan to come back each week to see what I have created--I think you too will love these great sentiment stamp sets.  And, remember, some of the sets come with matching steel dies! Denise is the owner, founder and creator of these wonderful stamp sets.  The sentiments she has for us to ink up are just perfect for any holiday or time of year.  Please be sure to go and check them out!

If you want to check out more creations from the design team, be sure to check out The Project Bin Blog as often as you can.  Every day there is a different card posted by one of more of the design team members.

For this card, I used a wonderful Christmas stamp set called Joyful Song. This set comes with 5 great sentiment stamps and 3 cute images.  I think this is a sweet set to use to make some wonderful Christmas cards.

Fancy Fold Christmas Card

Today is the third Wednesday of the month and that means a Ready, Set, Go Challenge Card! The 3 Musketeers (Jeanette, Kelly and me) are back with another challenge this month--our 8th month!

I came up with our challenge for December. Create a fancy fold Christmas card.  And the challenge part is to use a fold that you have not tried in the past.  Sounds easy--but still a challenge.  Ready--set--go!

I thought for a bit and remembered a card that I received in a swap a few months ago with a kind of z-fold variation.  So, I used that as a guide and created this cute Christmas Card, using one of my newer Stampin' Up sets.

Here is the card opened:

Here is a close-up of the inside:

Please be sure to check out the other Ready, Set, Go cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card and that you might too!  Jeanette is up for the next theme, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on the 3rd Wednesday in January!
