Christmas Crazy

This is my September-October card for the Christmas CraZy group on SCS.  This is our second year of this fun group.  I am so happy that Pansy took over in 2018 for the group that Jeanette had organized last year.  We each receive a card kit from another person in the group and made a card with the image and papers sent.

For this round, I was matched with Tammy and received a cute image from Fun Stampers Journey.  She had die cut them, so all I had to do was color it up!  Tammy also included some great patterned paper.  All I had to do was add some ribbon, an embossed piece and a die cut circle, and the card was done!  I hope that Tammy and the others like my card!

We have one more month of this group and I should be getting my partner for November-December in the next day or so.  I sure hope this group continues into 2019!

Challenge Your Stash

Today is the 28th of the month and it is the day I post a project for our Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 22nd month of de-stashing-we are coming to the end of our 2nd year into our challenges.

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group and the card is due to be posted on the 28th. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Suzy posted our October challenge--The Challenge is Halloween.

I picked one of my favorite Halloween stamps and also added a cute witch's hat brad!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards today or in the next few days.  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSOCT.  You might see many cards there is you do a search.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For November, Maggie is up and I cannot wait to see next our theme.  Be sure to check back to see what we create on the 28th!

Camp Stamp-in-Oga Color Challenge

This is the second of the two cards I made for the challenges for Camp Stamp-In-Oga, which was held on Saturday.  This is for the color challenge. If you check back at my post from yesterday, you will my card for the sketch challenge.  I am hoping one of the two is a winner! I am writing this post on Thursday, so I am not sure yet.

The color choices we could use were--Tranquil Tide, Poppy Parade, Gray Granite, Merry Merlot, Garden Green and Gorgeous Grape.  I went with the ones I thought would make a pretty fall colored card and use one of my newest Stampin' Up sets Country Home and a die from the Stitched Seasons set.  I also used a newer embossing folder, Hexagon Dynamic Textured Impression.  I used what I would consider the backside that I think gives this card some cool texture!

My color choices are Merry Merlot, Garden Green and Gray Granite:

I used one of my favorite Stampin' Up Halloween sets called Spooky Cat.  I also used a set of Stampin' Up framelit dies that I go to often--Layering Circles.  I cut out each image with a circle and added a scalloped circle of colored cardstock behind it.  I also really like the Howlstooth and Scaringbone Designer Series Paper.

Broom Ride with the CCC

This is my card for October's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month.

Kelly is the hostess this month and sent everyone this sweet witch image from Whipper Snapper Designs, that she bought at Creative Pals in January while visiting me!  Kelly included some great Halloween sentiments. She also sent great patterned paper along with some wonderful embellishments, plus the cobweb die cut-out.

Here is the inside of my card:

The Creative Card Chicks are to post our cards between the 21st and 23rd of each month--so if you check the blogs on my sidebars, you may see more of these wonderful creations! Many of our members also post their card in our SCS thread--so you might find more there.  Suzy is up for November, so be sure to come back and join us again!

Be Thankful

This card is for the monthly swap that Pam hosts on SCS.  Each month we make 10 cards and include a matching envelope.  They can be any theme for any month.  All of the swappers are wonderful and I have received awesome cards each and every month.

I inked a newer Unity set.  I think everyone can use this card for Thanksgiving or just a thanks card!

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Pam and the others swappers like my card this month!
