Stamp What?

Today is the start of a new challenge with the three collaborators you have seen many times in the past.  YES--Kelly came up with a new challenge--actually her son did and I will explain that later.  She asked Jeanette and me to join her--so another challenge for the Three of Us!  This one is called Stamp What?   How did this new one happen?  Kelly's son was talking to her about a time she sold a bunch of sets and they met the buyer at IKEA.  He asked Kelly if she had any Stampin' Up sets left?  She said yes and sadly they don't get used much any more.  He then randomly picked out a Stampin' Up set and said "here-make a card with this one!"  They both started laughing.............

So, here we are:  There's a new challenge on my blog today with a card that you will see on the 29th of every month called Stamp What?  You know that stack of stamps you have that you have never used or haven't used in a LONG time and are sitting on a shelf, collecting dust?  It's time for us to take one down off the shelf and use it!  But which one?  The name *Stamp What?* comes from using only STAMPin' Up stamps for this challenge and never knowing WHAT it will be!

Even we won't know which one it will be ~ it's chosen at random either by someone for us or by number generator.  Since it's chosen at random, it will be a surprise, even to us!   Stamp What?!!

I was in my stamp room and Rebecca came down to ask a question.  I told her of this new challenge and asked her to pick two stamp sets from my bookcase-full of Stampin' Up sets.  She promptly picked the one set on the top shelf and one on the bottom shelf as I am also doing my February card soon too.  So-I have the one of the first sets alphabetically and the one of the last for next month!   Today's card is from a retired Stampin' Up image called Amazing Congratulations.  It is a three part stamping set for the word Congratulations. I added the words On Your Great News in reference to our new challenge! The colors I picked for inks were Bermuda Bay, Night of Navy and Tangerine Tango.   I went with some fun Stampin' Up designer series paper called Birthday Bash for some fun colors.  Navy Enamel dots complete the card.  I met the challenge! And, I am excited to do this every month!

We decided to post on the 29th of each month as this is a Leap Year and we can post on February 29th!  Love the challenge Kelly and thanks so much for asking me to play along!

Here is the inside of my card.

Please be sure to check out the other Stamp What? cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card. There will not be any themes for our monthly cards, other than maybe using a special color like green for March.  Be sure to check back to see what we are up to on the 29th of February--Happy Leap Day!  Thanks for a great challenge Kelly--I love it!

Easter Brings

This is card #4 for my A Card A Week Challenge.  January is Fancy Folds and here is my final card for the month.  I made an offset gate fold card and decided on an Easter card.  I used some a package of patterned paper from Doodlebug called Easter Assortment on both of the flaps and along the sentiment on the front. I also added some pink Baker's Twine along the sentiment.  The sentiment is from Verses Rubber Stamps and is called Easter Brings.

Here are two additional photos, showing the panels.

Here is the card fully opened, with another strip of the patterned paper:

I really like the look of this card and hope you do too.

I hope you will stop back for the next Tuesday to see my next card with the February theme--use a sketch from SCS!

Sprinkle a Little Love

Today is the day I post a project for our Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 37th month of de-stashing-we are starting our 4th year into our challenges. I am posting a day early as I have another post tomorrow on the 28th.

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group and the card is due to be posted on the 28th. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Laura Jean posted our January challenge--Sprinkle a Little Love!

The background is an embossing folder from Sizzix called Hearts and they look to be falling from the sky! I went with a Whipper Snapper Designs image called Sending Love that I colored with my Copic Markers.  The sentiment is from the Critter Love Stamp Set by Penny Black.  Red Baker's Twine completes the card.

Here is the inside of my card.  It looks like the dots are pink and red--but it is two layers of red dotted washi tape that I layered so it looks like two colors!

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards in the next few days.  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSJAN.  You might see many cards there is you do a search.  They probably will be posted today or in the next few days.  Remember, I am a day early, so they might not be posted until tomorrow.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For February, Jen is up and has already posted a fun theme.  Be sure to check back to see what we create!

It is Friday, so  that means that I am back with another card for The Project Bin Stamps--A Way With Words!  This year, we are changing our posting dates and I am posting every first and third Friday, using one of the great photopolymer stamp sets from this sweet company.  So, please plan to come back to see what I have created--I think you too will love these great sentiment stamp sets.  And, remember, some of the sets come with matching steel dies! Denise is the owner, founder and creator of these wonderful stamp sets.  The sentiments she has for us to ink up are just perfect for any holiday or time of year.  Please be sure to go and check them out!

I am so excited to see what great stamp sets Denise has in mind for the future.  I am sure she will have some wonderful sentiments for us to ink up and for you to consider purchasing!  I just know you too will love creating cards with these stamp sets!!!
If you want to check out more creations from the design team, be sure to check out The Project Bin Blog as often as you can.  Every day there is a different card posted by one of the design team members.

For my first card of 2020, I used one of my favorite stamp sets called Classic Man. This set comes with 12 great masculine sentiments along with the great classic car image.  It is a perfect set for your "guy" cards!

Cocoa Girl

This is my card for January's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month.

Roxie is the hostess this month and sent everyone this sweet winter image from Deep Red Rubber Cling Stamps called Cocoa Girl.  She included some cute sentiments too.  Roxie also sent some great patterned paper along with other cute embellishments.  I colored the cute image with my Copic Markers and layered over the sparkly winter tree patterned paper.

Here is the inside of my card, with a snowflake cut from the glitter paper with the die Roxie included in out kit--thanks loads:

The Creative Card Chicks are to post our cards between the 21st and 23rd of each month--so if you check the blogs on my sidebars, you may see more of these wonderful creations! Many of our members also post their card in our SCS thread--so you might find more there.  This is the seventh month of the new round.  Be sure to come back and join us again in February with an image that I sent out.

Joy Fold

This is card #3 for my A Card A Week Challenge.  January is Fancy Folds and here is my third card for the month.  I made a joy fold card and decided on a masculine theme, using Stampin' Up's Adventure Bound 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 Patterned Paper Pack.

The Celebrate Die is also from Stampin' Up and I die cut it three times.  I then layered it three times, to give it more dimension.

Here are two additional photos, showing the panels.

Here is the card fully opened, with Happy Birthday from another Stampin' Up set.

I really like the look of this card and hope you do too.

I hope you will stop back for the next Tuesday to see my next card with a Fancy Folds in January!

This card is for the monthly swap that Pam hosts on SCS.  Each month we make 10 cards and include a matching envelope.  They can be any theme for any month.  All of the swappers are wonderful and I have received awesome cards each and every month.

I inked up one of my favorite stamp sets from The Project Bin called Joyful Song!   I think everyone can use a Christmas Card for their 2020 stash!

Mystery Image Swap

Today is the 18th and the due date for a Mystery Swap on SCS. This is my card for that swap.  It is a group of us who do a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same mystery image, sent to us by the hostess. This swap was created by Forest Ranger—Jeanette--back in 2010 and we are now in our 56th round!  Laura Jean is our hostess this month and sent everyone this great image from Gina K from the Country Roads Stamp set. She will swap out the cards and send everyone the next image, which Carol picked out! We then get to do it all again, for round #58, in March!

I really like the image Laura Jean sent and I had fun coloring it.  I added a sentiment from the Taylored Expressions Simple Strips Stamp Set.  I included 4-5 different sentiments in each one of the swap cards I sent so the swappers can decide which one they want to use.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Laura Jean and all of the mystery swappers like my card.  If you check my sidebar on the left, you might see some other swappers who have posted their cards today or in the next few days.
