Wishing you Beautiful Winter Moments

If you are looking for my Twist of Faith card, please scroll down.

Today is the last day of the month and I am here to show you to my Crafters of Faith card! The Crafters of Faith blogging group is a joyous blending of Christian friends ~ joined together to fellowship, share our faith, build friendships and craft together!

Sadly--this is the last post for this blog group as we are disbanding as of the first of the year.  Kelly was the founder of this wonderful group and is our hostess for this final month.  This is the wonderful challenge she presented to us:

Psalm 113:2 (KJV) "Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore." During this celebratory time of year, we rejoice at the miracle of the birth of the son of God! One of my very favorite Christmas songs is Holy Night, heads bowed before the Redeemer. The literal translation of the first verse is:

Midnight, Christians, it is the solemn hour,
When God as man descended unto us
To erase the stain of original sin
And to end the wrath of His Father.
The entire world thrills with hope
On this night that gives it a Savior.

With that, I ask you to create a card based on the blessing we receive from knowing how much was given for us! May we all be aware of the beautiful blessings we have and bestow to others.

For your December card, create a card of your choice in color and design with the theme: Sprinkle an abundance of Blessings!

I inked up Northwoods stamp that I purchased at a stamp show in Madison last month.  I love the detail in these stamps and the images are amazing.  Many of the winter images are just stunning and I really do not do them justice at all.  The display boards that showcase these stamps are incredible and the cards are masterpieces.

I used glossy white for the background and embossed it with a snowflake folder.  I added some white gel pen to some of the snowy areas and then went over parts with Stickles glitter.  I took a picture of the card on the display board and it seemed like the entire card was covered in glitter.  I did not do that, but I do think it is quite shimmery.

Here is another angle and you might be able to see more of the shiny snow:

Here is the sentiment on the inside of the card.

I am blessed to live in Wisconsin where I can look out of my window and see a scene similar to this every winter.  I do not have a bridge or river, but when we take a hike in the woods or strap on the snowshoes and head to the state park, we do see landscapes that are stunning.  The best time to go snowshoeing is the morning after a snow to see all of the shimmer.  If the sun is shining, that is a bonus!  I am also blessed with good health to enjoy the outdoors--winter scenes like this and along with activities in the other three seasons.  Hikes, walks, biking, snowshoeing, gardening, and other outdoor activities are wonderful in Wisconsin!

Up to Snow Good

It is the 28th of the month, so I am here to welcome you to another round with the Calendar Girls!

Who are the Calendar Girls? We are a group of bloggers who want to have a place where friendships blossom, creativity abounds, and encouragement prevails! In keeping with that dream, this blog group has been created so we will have a place to interact and enjoy being fellow bloggers.  Jeanette decided on the theme for this month
and here is the challenge or non-challenge for the group:

This month is a FREE FOR ALL. Feel free to post if you want to. Feel free NOT to post if you need a break. If you do post, post whatever you want. How's that for easy???

I inked up a cute Penny Black stamp that I just love!  I colored the image to match the Stampin' Up designer paper I planned to use.  I added a sentiment inside just perfect for the smirk on the face of this snowperson--not sure if it is a man or a woman.  But--knowing Jeanette--she will say it fits me!

Summer Warmth in Winter!

Happy Day after Christmas!

This is my card for our every other month swap for an awesome group of ladies on SCS--the SOTC--Sisters of the Traveling Cards!  Kelly is our hostess for November/December--she posted the following for us to follow:

Since November/December is a very cold winter months for most of you, I thought we'd create some cards to bring some warmth your way! While the rest of the world is buried in snow, let's create some cards with a seashore/ocean theme ~ dip your toes into the ocean, sit on the shore and watch the waves gentle crash to shore, listen to the seagulls flying overhead or watch the sunset over a lovely ocean of blue ... where ever your heart feels happiest at the shore, create it! *Blessings*!

Kelly is right--we are covered in snow in Wisconsin.  We got around 8 inches on Sunday and more yesterday.  So--playing with sunny and bright ink, paper and summertime stamps was fun!

I knew the paper that I wanted to use and looked at a few stamp sets to see which ones fit the challenge.  I inked up a newer Stampin' Up sets and I think the card turned out cute.  I hope Kelly and the other SOTC gals like my card!

Dueling Darlings ~ A Christmas Story

It is the 15thof the month and that means we get to show off another Dueling Darlings challenge. Our hostesses for December are Kelly for the Divas and Jeanette for the Dazzlers.  These wonderful ladies are the founders of our group-and no, that does not mean they are very old..............
Kelly and Jeanette challenged us this month to make a Christmas card with our choice of two wonderful images and a matching sentiment.  I really liked all of the papers and embellishments that Kelly sent--they were all of a "country" type theme.  I used to decorate "Country"--in the 70's and 80's when it was popular!

Here is the inside of my card.

I really love the papers in this card and wanted to use as much of it as I could.  Kelly also had a glittery silver paper in our kit--and I really wanted to use that.  But--I am saving that for another card to be posted later this month.

Thanks to Jeanette and Kelly for a wonderful challenge this month--and for an awesome group of ladies to work/play with each month.  It is a blast to send as well as receive the kits each month and then to check out the blogs to see what everyone creates with the same items.

Edited on Monday--I guess I should have looked closer at the image when I put it on the card to make sure it was straight............................

Unidentified Image Reveal

This is the card for the 10th round an Unidentified Image swap on SCS.  It is a group of ladies who are a part of a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The unidentified part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted--that was Tuesday!   The images for this round were provided Terry.    She will swap the cards and include the next image that Kate, our next hostess, provides in our return envie.  And then we get to do it all again!!!!

The image the Terry used is too cute--I love Penny Black Stamps.  I host 3 or 4 swaps that use these images each year--the current one is for fancy folds!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the other blogs listed on my sidebars, you may find some other swappers who have posted their creations in the past day or so.
