Friday's With The Project Bin

It is Friday, so  that means that I am back with another card for The Project Bin Stamps--A Way With Words!  This year, we are changing our posting dates and I am posting every first and third Friday, using one of the great photopolymer stamp sets from this sweet company.  So, please plan to come back to see what I have created--I think you too will love these great sentiment stamp sets.  And, remember, some of the sets come with matching steel dies! Denise is the owner, founder and creator of these wonderful stamp sets.  The sentiments she has for us to ink up are just perfect for any holiday or time of year.  Please be sure to go and check them out!

I am so excited to see what great stamp sets Denise has in mind for the future.  I am sure she will have some wonderful sentiments for us to ink up and for you to consider purchasing!  I just know you too will love creating cards with these stamp sets!!!
If you want to check out more creations from the design team, be sure to check out The Project Bin Blog as often as you can.  Every day there is a different card posted by one of the design team members.

For my second card for March, I used one of the sweet Easter stamp set called Spring Zen. This set comes with 9 great spring stamps--3 images and 6 sweet sentiments. The images are so fun to color and I know I need a few Easter cards this year.  I know whoever gets this card will love it!

I first inked up the cross and sentiment with Versamark to emboss with copper embossing powder.  I then colored the cross with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I added Crushed Curry Baker's Twine and some white glimmer enamel dots.  I really like this card and I hope you do too.

Here is the Spring Zen stamp set:

I hope you have enjoyed my card for The Project Bin. Check back on every week, any day on The Project Bin Blog for inspiration for the team but especially on alternate Friday's to check out my cards. I am so excited to be on this wonderful design team!

Mr & Mrs

Today is the 19th and yesterday was the due date for a Mystery Swap on SCS. This is my card for that swap.  It is a group of us who do a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same mystery image, sent to us by the hostess. This swap was created by Forest Ranger—Jeanette--back in 2010 and we are now in our 57th round!  Carol is our hostess this month and sent everyone this great image from Colorado Craft Company-3C-called Happy Forevering. She will swap out the cards and send everyone the next image, which Terry picked out! We then get to do it all again, for round #59, in May!

I think the wedding image is so pretty and I colored with with my water brush and Stampin' Up inks for a softer, water colored look.  I then took two Memory Box Scalloped Stitched Rectangle dies and cut a frame to go over the image.  The background is a piece of vellum from the Stampin' Up Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack.

Here is the inside of my card, using a stamp from the Essential Sentiments from A*Muse:

I hope Carol and all of the mystery swappers like my card.  If you check my sidebar on the left, you might see some other swappers who have posted their cards yesterday, today or in the next few days.

Hiking in Ireland

Today is the third Wednesday of the month and this is my Ready, Set, Go Challenge Card! The 3 Musketeers--Kelly, Jeanette and me--are back with another challenge for March-our 35th month!  That means we are coming to the end our third year--YAY!

I provided the challenge for March: We post on the 18th of March,  the day after St. Patrick’s Day.  You have been tasked to make a card or project using green someplace..   You also need to do some research and showcase something Irish, other than a shamrock.  It can be another symbol, a food, area of Ireland,  a celebration or tradition,  etc.  Anything to do with Ireland and the Irish people.

Ready? Set? Go!

I was not sure when I provided this challenge what my plan would be.  As I got closer to today, I decided to highlight an upcoming trip to Ireland!  Or, I am hoping it still is happening.....................  A few months ago we decided to do a walking trip in Ireland on the Dingle Peninsula.  Rebecca's niece did this same walk a few years ago and we booked it for September.  We are planning to meet my cousin and her hubby in Dublin a few days before the hike and then travel to Camp to start the 8 day walk. We will walk between 4-6 miles a day and stay each night in a B&B along the way--Camp is the name of the town, not what we are doing........ We will have about another week to explore Ireland.  I am not sure at this time how long my cousins will be with us.  I am so excited to do this trip and it better happen!  A map of the area is below

So, I thought I would make a card that describes out trip.  From the hiking boots, to the sentiment with the Adventure of a Lifetime, I am dreaming of our trip to Ireland.  I think I met the challenge!

Here is the inside of my card:

Please be sure to check out the other Ready, Set, Go cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card. Jeanette is up for the next theme, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on the 3rd Wednesday in April!

O'Leary

It is a Tuesday and time for my card a week challenge.  March is to use a Alphabet Challenge from SCS for each week.  For this week, the challenge is 0 and the name of this Irish guy is O'Leary!

I wanted to try to find a card to honor St. Patrick Day and I was pleasantly surprised to see the name of this stamp--Perfect for the O Challenge!  I colored him up with my Copic Sketch Markers and added a few glittery green enamel dots.  He was then die cut with some Gina K Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I paired him with some Authentique Shamrock and Argyle patterned paper.

Here is the inside of my card:

I really like the look of this card and hope you do too.

I hope you will stop back for the next Tuesday to see another card with an alphabet theme for March!

National Day of Happiness

It is the 15th of the month and that means I am showing you a new Dueling Darlings card.  For our March Challenge, Tami and Terry are the hostesses. March 20th is National Day of Happiness and that is our theme  Terry is one of the Dazzlers and Tami is a Diva, like me. And we are all Dueling Darlings!  And, we have been doing this since August of 2010--so we are into our 9th year!

Tami sent out this sweet coffee cup image by Avery Elle, the collar and some sentiments.  She also sent some sweet red patterned paper along with a variety of fun embellishments. This was fun card to make and I hope the other Divas thought so too!

I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and die cut the image with a set of Sizzix Oval Framelits.  I added a A*Muse sentiment on the collar of the coffee cup.  I used two of the patterned papers and the red bakers twine, along with three red rhinestones!

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope all of the Darlings enjoy my card this month. Please be sure to stop in to see what all of the Divas as well the Dazzlers have created this month.  Suzy and Deb are the hostesses for April, so be sure to check back next month.

There are a few members who do not have blogs:  Suzy who is on the Diva team and Debby and
Terry S who are Dazzlers.  You will be able to check out their creations in their SCS gallery, if you click on the link for their name.  All of the others should be found on my left sidebar.  I am sure you will enjoy all of the wonderful creations this month!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

It is time for another Hot Mess card and this is card number 8.   The idea of Hot Mess ~ Success started with Kelly and the general theme is to Get Messy and you will have Success!  Messiness can be almost anything that we come up with--glitter, alcohol inks, glimmer glitz, sponged backgrounds, etc., anything that is a bit messy.  We are a group of 4--Terry, Jeanette, Kelly and me. We will post a card each month on the 12th. Some times there is a theme-like this month.  And, other times we just get creative and messy!

For this month's messiness, Terry issued a challenge to use a shamrock on the card.  I am glad I added the shamrock brad and ribbon to my card as I thought the theme was to use green and only re-read the challenge when I went to post this!

I used Gina K Designs Grass Green Glitter Glitz Gel and a great stencil from Hero Arts called Deco Pattern for the background. I love the sparkle that the Glitz Gel has for the background.  I then used one of the Melonheadz Lucy Doris images from the St. Patrick's Day set.  The sentiment is from the Essential Sentiments from A*Muse.  The border is a shamrock ribbon.

Here is the inside of my card, with some Irish Brads.  The top sign says Leprechaun Crossing and the bottom are the lost boots!

Here are the links to the other members of Hot Mess ~ Success.  Please be sure to check out Jeanette's, Terry's and Kelly's blogs. I am sure you will enjoy seeing how everyone got messy and was successful in making some great cards!   We will all be back each month this year, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on April 12th.

Who's the Emboss?

This is my March card for the monthly themed swap that Terry is hosting on SCS. Each month she will post a theme and we make cards using any stamp set we believe follows that thought. This is our 49th month and the theme for March is "Who's the Emboss?".

I first picked out the Stampin' Up Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder and used it on Sizzix Metallic Paper.  I then went with a Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz masculine image from the Life's Possibilities stamp set.  I added some pewter brads by the stamped image.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Terry and the others swappers like my card this month too! Terry has already posted the April theme and the ones for the rest of the year.  Be sure to come back in to see what we create!

Happiest Birthday Wishes

Today is another double-duty card.

First, it is the 3rd month of the Stamp What? challenge with the three collaborators you have seen many times in the past--Kelly, Jeanette and me!  Kelly came up with the challenge to randomly pick a Stampin' Up set and make a card with that set.  Get the dust off of those forgotten Stampin' Up sets! For the first two months, we posted on the 29th.  Because of other blog posts and challenges, we are now moving to the 10th.

And, since it is a Tuesday, it is the day to post my A Card A Week Challenge.  March is to use the Alphabet Challenge from SCS and this week it is N.

For Stamp What, I randomly picked a Stampin' Up set off of my shelf--Happiest Birthday Wishes. I know it is a newer set, but it was at random.......

After picking the set, I now had to come up with N--navy maybe?  Numbers-for sure and that is what a birthday is and look below to see the inside of the card.  I thought that inking one of the stamps with Kaleidacolor would be perfect--and I went with the primary colors of Celebration by Stampin' Up.  I picked a birthday hat embossing folder and three primary colors-navy, green and yellow.  And, I think we might have a theme for this month to use green, so that is also covered.

Double Duty--Stamp What and A Card A Week Challenge!

Here is the inside of my card--with numbers washi tape!

Please be sure to check out the other Stamp What? cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card. I hope you will stop back for the next Tuesday to see my next alphabet card!  And, I do not think it will be the third double duty in a row!
