Fresh Cut Flowers

Today is the the 12th and it is time for another Hot Mess card. This card is #79, so we are into year #8. The idea of Hot Mess ~ Success is to Get Messy and you will have Success!  Messiness can be almost anything that we come up with--glitter, alcohol inks, glimmer glitz, sponged backgrounds, etc., anything that is a bit messy.  We are a very fun group and will post a card each month on the 12th.  The links to the other members are on my left side bar and I will also link them at the bottom at this post.

For my messiness this month, I took out some Ken Oliver Color Bursts that I think I have not used in 3-4 years!  I used watercolor cardstock and spritzed the paper with water.  I then added 3 colors--Pthalo Green, Ultramarine Blue and Lemon Yellow.  I kept adding color and spritzed water until the entire panel was covered. I used my heat tool between layers. I die cut the colored panel and a black backer with my Gina K Designs Master Layouts 2.  I then picked a fun die set from Taylored Expressions called Fresh Cut Flowers and used scraps of yellow and green for the florals.  The die sentiment is from Pinkfresh Studio called Scripted Greetings. I finally used a Taylored Expressions Cross Stitch Rectangle Stacklet for a border on the card base panel.  I did not add any bling as the card is very colorful as is!

I really like this simple card and hope you do too.  I also sure hope my fellow messy ladies like them too!  Here are the links to the other somewhat messy crafters: Darlene, Jeanette and TerryI am sure you will enjoy seeing how everyone got messy this month and was successful in making some great cards!   Be sure to check back to see what we are up in April!

A Bit of Spring

Today is the 9th of the month and it is now time for another The Three Musketeers post. This round, I am the hostess and I sent us out a cute floral image and two sentiments from the Gina K Designs set called A Bit of Spring. I am wishing it comes soon to Wisconsin!  For March, this is card #139 and we are now in year #12!  I cannot believe this trio has been going strong coming up on 13 years!

I colored the sweet floral image with my Copic Sketch Markers. I die cut a Gina K Designs Cover Plate called 3D Diamonds three times for the background. I  wanted another layer under the cover plate as it is not a full panel, so I die cut the scalloped layer from my MFT Blueprints 27 set.  I added the sentiments and some pink bling from The Tonaround the image.   I hope Jeanette and Kelly along with you enjoy my card!

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is the link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of cute cards!  Jeanette is up for our April challenge, so please be sure to join us again next month!

Alleluia-He is Risen

Today is the day I post my cards for our challenge called Unused No More!  This is a monthly challenge to be posted on the 6th with a group of friends from my No Foolin' Retreat.  Some may post on their blog and I will note those with blogs at the end of this post.  And, some might post on other social media.  Those that participate each month will send a picture in the text thread we have between us, showing our creation.  The premise is to use a stamp set, stencil die, hot foil plate or press plate that is new and has never been used.  So--Unused No More!

My plan is to pick a different company each month to highlight and maybe even a different product than the month before.  For March, I picked a stamp and die set from The Greetery that I have not used called Amen and Alleluia.  I also used the coordinating Alleluia die. I can always use more Easter cards as I make more than 30 every year to include with grocery gift cards that we send to families in Milwaukee who belong to our sister church.  I am done with 32 of them for this year, but will save these two for next year!

For my card, I first picked the background paper called Thoughtful Journey from Stampin' Up.  then use Versamark ink and stamped the word Alleluia two times. I used two colors of Brutus Monroe embossing powder--Sterling and Penny.  I die cut the word with the matching die. I added a silver metallic panel behind the background on the silver embossed word.  The sentiment is from the same set and was stamped in black ink and die cut with some banner dies.

I am not sure who will post each month on their blog, but this is a list of the other ladies who do have blogs.  Links to the blogs of JeanetteTerry, and Darlene Be sure to come back on April 6th to see another fun card from a set Unused No More.

Amazing Things

Today is the day I am posting my card for our One Plus Twelve challenge in 2026.  This is year number 8.  For this challenge, we are to use just one stamp, to make a card every month and post on the 3rd of each month.  For this year, I picked a Pinkfresh Studio set called Amazing Things.  The set includes a stamp set, matching dies, a 5-piece stencil set and a better press set. I am excited that I get to use this set every month for all of 2026 and have so many options.

AND--you might have seen this same set on Jeanette's blog as we both picked the same one.  We both have hundreds of stamp sets (or more) and without knowing it, we both chose this Pinkfresh Studio Set--how funny!

For my card this month, I stamped the image and sentiment with Hero Arts Intense Black.   I colored the image with the stencil set using Taylored Expressions inks in greens and purples.  I then die cut it and layered three times. I picked a Picket Fence Cobblestone Cover plate for the background and added a black panel behind it.  I added some Taylored Expressions Bits & Pieces Magenta Glitter Drops around the image.

Please be sure to check out the other One plus Twelve posts to see the sweet cards that Kelly and Jeanette have created for March!  Here is a link to both Jeanette's  and Kelly's blog.  Be sure to come back on April 3rd to see another fun card.

Taylored Expressions Petal Party

I still have been working on more cards from the Scrapbook & Cards Fall 2025 Crop & Create Delivered event.  I have two more classes to do and I WILL get them done before the Spring 2026 event later this month!

Reminder--these are not my own designs!  The cards are the designs of the other instructors from these classes.  I am just recreating the cards from the class. These creations are from Taylor VanBruggen and Taylored Expressions.

We received an amazing kit in our box. We received a sweet Petal Party layering stencil set along with a Little Hellos Stamp Set plus Petal Party and Little Hellos Coordinating Die Set.  There was also a 2026 calendar set that came with the kit, but I chose to make all cards with my 6 floral images.  I also had purchased the matching Foil It panel, so all of my images have silver foil too.  We ink blended all 6 images and die cut them, the adding white ink from a background stamp or using an embossing folder.  The bottom three cards are a fun fold as is the top right.  The 2 on the top left are my own creating.   It was a very fun class and I really like the  floral cards!

I hope you enjoyed my cards! More to come--2 more classes!
