Holiday Party Invite

Today I am sharing the invitation I made for our Holiday Cocktail party in December.  I love this set by Taylored Expressions called Merry Little Cocktail!  I has a number of sweet cocktail images along with sentiments, including this invitation!  

I colored the beverage in the glass with Wink of Stella for some sparkle-though it is hard to see here.  We usually have a couple of signature cocktails for the event and one of the favorites last year was blue.  However, that color would not have matched the background, so I went with a typical holiday drink color-Red!  I also added some of the new Stampin' Up Red Rhinestones for some bling!

I cannot show you the inside of my card as it has all of the details for the party and could not hold all of you too!

Dueling Darlings Duel Owls!

It is the 15^th of the month and that means I am showing you a new Dueling Darlings card.  For our November Challenge, Heather and Beth are the hostesses. They decided on the theme-Owls!   Beth is one of the Dazzlers and Heather is a Diva, like me. And we are all Dueling Darlings!  And, we have been doing this since August of 2010--so we are into our 9th year!

Heather sent out this cute image from Taylored Expressions called Hoot Hoot Horray!  She also sent some sweet patterned paper along with a variety of fun embellishments. This was fun card to make and I hope the other Divas thought so too!

Friday's With The Project Bin

Dear Santa

I am a day late this week as I had another card to post yesterday.

This is the 46th week of A Card a Week Challenge. One card a week--for 52 weeks--with a preset challenge for each month. November's challenge is to make a card using just dies.  Every Tuesday in November, that is my goal.  I have many dies and this will be my chance to use them!

For my second card in November, I used three different dies.  I just got a new die Poppy Stamps die called Brick Window Wall and cut it out from Cherry Cobbler.  I then die cut the words Dear Santa and Believe from Gold metallic paper.  I layered a piece of cardstock that I made with the shaving cream technique a bit ago as I thought it looked a snowy scene out of the window!

And again, this is a hard card to photograph with the metallic paper.

I really like the look of this card and hope you do too.

Hot Mess ~ Success

It is time for another Hot Mess card and this is card number 4.   The idea of Hot Mess ~ Success started with Kelly making a card and using the #hotmess on her Instagram post.  The general theme is to Get Messy and you will have Success!  Messiness can be almost anything that we come up with--glitter, alcohol inks, glimmer glitz, sponged backgrounds, etc., anything that is a bit messy.  We are a group of 4--Terry, Jeanette, Kelly and me. We will post a card each month on the 12th. Some times there is a theme-like this month.  And, other times we just get creative and messy! 

For this month's messiness, Terry issued a challenge.  Make a thank you card or a Thankful card.  I used Gina K Designs Sweet Mango Glitz Glitter Gel and a great stencil from A  Colorful Life Designs called Rippling Squares for the background. I love the texture of the Glitz and the pattern the stencil makes is so fun.  I then inked up a newer Stampin' Up set called Falling for Leaves with Autumn Kaleidacolor ink and cut it out with the coordinating die.  I added a sentiment from Stampabilities called We Give Thanks!

Holiday Thanks!

It is the 10th of the month and that means it is time for my card for the monthly themed swap that Terry is hosting on SCS. Each month she will post a theme and we make cards using any stamp set we believe follows that thought. This is our 46th month and the theme for November is "Holiday Thanks".  

I went with a fun snowman image from Tim Holtz called Blustery.  I think he is tipping his hat and saying Thanks!

Walking Woofs

It is time for another The Three Musketeers post. We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the image that Jeanette sent for November--for Card #63!  That means we nearing the end of year #5--can you believe that?!  All three of us sure have enjoyed the challenges every month and we hope that it continues for a long time!  I am up next for the December challenge.  Be sure to come back to see what we create!  

For our card this month, Jeanette sent us this cute Newton's Nook image called Walking Woofs! She went with this image instead of a fall or Thanksgiving images as she thought it was sweet!  She also said it reminded her of her daughter, who loves dogs and for Kelly as she walks her dog often and me, as we dog sit for friends often!  So, we have many dog lovers around us!

I loved coloring up this image with my Copic Markers and added the sentiment in the corner.  I used a sheet of paw prints for the background and a strip of Hello Honey ribbon.  I hope you enjoy my card!

I used one of the newest stamps called Keepsake. This image is so darn true!  I have many friends and family members who have saved every hand-made card I have sent them.  It is a Keepsake!!!  I love the sentiment words and will for sure use it often!
