Christmas Gift Card Holder

This is my card for the November Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 11th month of de-stashing!

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group and the card is due to be posted on the 28th. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Vickie posted our November challenge--Create a Gift Card Holder.

I have made a few gift card holders in the past and created this one with parts from two different ones.  The middle section that holds the gift card is made with the retired Stampin' Up word window punch and I added a belly band to hold it together.  I also used one of my Stampin' Up border punches on the edge--I think I had to blow off the dust!!!  That is really using some of my stash!

Here is the inside:

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards today or in the next day or so.  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSNOV.  You might see many cards there is you do a search.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For December, Maggie is up and I cannot wait to see her challenge.  Be sure to check back to see what we create for the end of our first full year!

Dance in the Rain!

This card is for the monthly swap that Pam hosts on SCS.  Each month we make 10 cards and include a matching envelope.  They can be any theme for any month.  All of the swappers are wonderful and I have received awesome cards each and every month.

I inked up one of my favorite Unity sets--Dance in the Rain.  I added some crystal effects on the boots--so they shine!  I think everyone can use more friendship cards.

I hope Pam and the others swappers like my card this month!

Mystery Image Swap

This card is for a Mystery Swap on SCS. A group of us do a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same mystery image, sent to us by the hostess. This swap was created by Forest Ranger—Jeanette and we are now in our 43rd round!  Jeanette is our hostess this month and she sent everyone this sweet Christmas. Jeanette will swap the cards and send everyone the next image, which is being sent by Tracie. We then get to do it all again, for round 44, into 2018!

I think that the image circle is a turned a bit as his feet are not square to the ground.  Oh Well, he looks like he is taking a step!  I also added some Wink of Stella to the fur on his hat and jacket, along with the dog's hat too.
Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Jeanette and the other swappers like my card.  If you check my sidebar on the left, you might see some other swappers who have posted their cards yesterday or today or in the next few days.

Inside/Out Card

It is the day after third Wednesday of the month and that means a Ready, Set, Go Challenge Card!  We each had another card to post to our blogs yesterday, so this post was pushed back one day.  The 3 Musketeers (Jeanette, Kelly and me) are back with another challenge this month.

Kelly came up with our challenge for October. Create an inside out card.    This is what Kelly wrote:  What's That?  Glad you asked.  It is where the inside of your card is now the front and the front is now inside! However you want to interpret that is up to you.  Be creative, use lots of color/ing and try to avoid leaving it 'blank' on the front.   Remember, we're thinking outside the box!  I hope you have fun with the challenge - now get ready, get set ... Go!

I pondered and pondered about the card for this challenge.  I had an idea to do a shutter card and put a full image on the inside.  I had a stamp class this past week at my local stamp store and we made a card similar to this, with a Christmas ornament on the outside in the circle, and patterned papers on both panels.  I thought I would use one of my favorite Christmas images from Penny Black for the inside image and a simple Ho-Ho-Ho in the circle.  I like how it turned out.

Sorry for the bad picture but it is a hard card to photograph, as the panels do not lay flat.....

Both of the green panels fold out to reveal the inside image.

Please be sure to check out the other Ready, Set, Go cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card and that you might too!  I am up for the next theme, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on the 3rd Wednesday in December!
