Say Cheese!

This is the card for the 43rd round of the Unidentified Image swap on SCS.  It is a group of ladies who are a part of a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The unidentified part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted--today!   The image for this round was provided by Lela .  She will swap the cards and include the next image that Heather, our next hostess in their return envie.  And then we get to do it all again--for round #44--in June!

Lela sent us this cute image from Taylored Expressions.  I think this is a great image for summer vacations!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the other blogs listed on my sidebars, you may find some other swappers who have posted their creations today or in the next few days.    You can also check out SCS and use the keyword UIS43 to see some posted there.  I hope Lela and everyone in the swap likes my card--and that you do too!

Out of This World!

It is the 15th of the month and that means I am showing you a new Dueling Darlings card.  For our April Challenge, Terry S. and Laura Jean are the hostesses! They decided on the theme-Out of This World! Terry is one of the Dazzlers and Laura Jean is a Diva, like me, and we are all Dueling Darlings!  And, we have been doing this since August of 2010--a long time!

LJ sent us some cute outer space images from October Afternoon.  She also sent us some great patterned paper along with some fun embellishments.  I layered all three of the bright, primary colored ribbon on top of each other--that has been something I have done a few times in the past with our DDD kits.  It is great to show off the fun ribbons that I received!  This was fun card to make.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope all of the Darlings enjoy my card this month. Please be sure to stop in to see what all of the Divas as well the Dazzlers have created this month. We will be here in May, so be sure to check back!

There are a few members who do not have blogs:  Suzy and Terry S who both are on the Diva team and Debby who is a Dazzlers.  You will be able to check out their creations in their SCS gallery, if you click on the link for their name.  All of the others should be found on my left sidebar.  I am sure you will enjoy all of the wonderful creations this month!

Ready? Set? Go!

It is the third Wednesday of the month and that means a Ready, Set, Go Challenge Card!  The 3 Musketeers (Jeanette, Kelly and me) are back with another challenge this month--our third month of this!

Jeanette picked our challenge for this month.  We have been chatting the past few months about how our gallery has changed since we all joined SCS.  We all started our gallery in 2008.  I joined SCS in 2004, but it took me 4 years to post to the gallery.  Jeanette and Kelly both joined SCS in 2008 and started posting to the gallery the same year.  So, Jeanette's challenge was to find out 8th card from the end--the 8th card we posted to our gallery.  We then were to CASE the card and created one for this month.  So-ready or not--here we go!   Ready? Set? Go!

My 8th card was a 3 x 3 card I did for a shoebox swap in Madison in March of 2008.  It was a very simple card--one stamp with one layer and using Kaleidacolor ink.  And, a very poor picture of it too!  So, I did use the same kind of ink pad on this card, and did use the same ticket corner punch.  But, I also used my 4th card as an inspiration.  I used the same stamp set--and one that is still current in the Stampin' Up catalog ~ Lovely as a Tree!   I still have the Word Window punch too!  It is a pretty simple card--no ribbon or fiber on it, as that is what these two cards portray.

I sure hope my photography skills along with card making creativity have both improved in the past 9 years!

Here is the inside of my card:

I think this sentiment is perfect as both of my companions in this challenge are both so nice!  We chat via texting pretty much every single day!  And Nice Does Matter!!!!!

Please be sure to check out the other Ready, Set, Go cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card and that you might too!  Kelly is up for the next theme, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on the 3rd Wednesday in August!

Our Loved Ones Shine Down

This is the second of two cards I made for Deena's Get Well-Sympathy swap on SCS.  As Deena noted--we all need these cards, but many times they are hard to make at the time.  So, it will be good to have some on hand.  This is a great sentiment for a Sympathy Card.

Here is the inside of my card:

Here's the photo to inspire us:

Our sponsor this week is Scribbles Designs

Scribbles Designs provided us with some cute images for this challenge.  I am not much of a sci-fi fan, but the images were sweet.  I chose this sweet guy called Darth Vad-Brrr--isn't he a cutie!  Thanks so much Scribbles Designs.

I found this paper that shows some of the solar system in a pack I got from a sale on the October Afternoon website.  I think it was perfect to use!
