Leaves are Leaving!

Today is the day after the 28th and I am posting my card for our Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 76th month of de-stashing-we are coming to the end of 4th year of our challenges.

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Pansy posted our November challenge--Theme is leaves and leaving.  Implied or direct action on leaves leaving or a scenic sort of leaves and something leaving.

I picked a Taylored Expressions stamp and stencil combo called Modern Tree.  I first stamped the tree in the middle of my piece of cardstock.  I then used each of the three stencils and lined them up with the trunk and used my Taylored Expressions blender brushes to blend the inks.  The three colors I used were Candy Corn, Pineapple and Mulled Wine.  I picked a sentiment from the same stamp set. I added some linen thread for the final touch!

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards in the next few days. There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSNOV.  You might see many cards there if you do a search.  They probably will be posted today or in the next few days.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For December, Suzy is up.  Be sure to check back to see what we create!

Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving.  I hope you have a Blessed Day--   no matter how it looks in 2020!

This is a card I made for a recent sketch challenge.  I used two older Stampin' Up sets--Gently Falling for the leaf and Day of Gratitude for the sentiment. I used the layering circle dies to cut the image and added some linen thread behind the scallop circle.  The patterned paper is also an older retired set from Stampin' Up called Orchard Harvest.

He Sees You!

This is my card for November's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month. This is the 6th month of our new round--join me through the rest of 2020 and into 2021.

Suzy stepped in as the hostess this month and she gave us a choice of two sketches to use for our card.  She also said it needed to be a Christmas theme with an animal.  I picked Big Grumpy Cat and added the Big Grumpy Christmas stamp sets and the matching dies, both from Taylored Expressions. I colored the images with my Copic Sketch Markers and added some Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle on the white parts of the hat!   The sketch I picked was SC607 and I showcased some of the fun patterned paper in a 6x6 pack from Gina K Designs called Winter Whimsey.  I added a velvet bow as the final touch for this colorful card.

Here is the inside of my card:

The Creative Card Chicks are to post our cards between the 21st and 23rd of each month--so if you check the blogs on my sidebars, you may see more of these wonderful creations!  Many of our members also post their card in our SCS thread--so you might find more there.  We take December off so be sure to come back and join us again in January with an image that I am going to send out.

For my second card for November, I made Thanksgiving card.  This card uses the sweet set called Eat Pie  I inked up one of the sweet Thanksgiving sentiments and die cut it with Sizzix Dotted Square Dies.  I also stamped the pumpkin pie image and cut it out.  The background paper is Carta Bella Hello Fall called Fall Forest.  I added a strip Early Espresso Ribbon under the pie image and added three orange enamel dots. I really like this card and I hope you do too.

Mystery Image #61

Today is the 19th and the day after due date for a Mystery Swap on SCS. This is my card for that swap.  It is a group of us who do a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same mystery image, sent to us by the hostess. This swap was created by Forest Ranger—Jeanette--back in 2010 and we are now in our 61st round!  Sharon is our hostess this month and sent everyone this pretty image from CTMH-Close to My Heart called Pemberley Workshop, #1491. She will swap out the cards and send everyone the next image, which Terry will pick out! We then get to do it all again, for round #62, in January!

I think the image is unique and I first decided I wanted to have an embossed background-so I picked the Quickutz Swirls folder.  I then decided on a color combo and went with pinks!  I then colored it with my Copic Sketch Markers. It is a large image, so the only embellishments are some pink enamel dots.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Sharon and all of the mystery swappers like my card.  If you check my sidebar on the left, you might see some other swappers who have posted their cards today, yesterday or in the next few days.

Ginger in Bobble Hat

Today is the third Wednesday of the month and this is my Ready, Set, Go Challenge Card! The 3 Musketeers--Kelly, Jeanette and me--are back with another challenge for November, our 43rd month!  That means we are well into our 4th year--YAY!

Kelly provided this challenge for us: Gingerbread is an taste that's not for everyone so rather than eat gingerbread cookies, we're focusing on baking them! Create a card (or project) that FEATURES  a gingerbread man/woman. Next step in the recipe, since gingerbread rises when you bake it, have a raised feature on your card. This can be as easy as glitter glue or stickles or really fancy like a pop up card - your choice!  For the next step, use one of the colors of the word G-I-N-G-E-R-B-R-E-A-D and use that color as your trimming (hairbows, bowties, etc.)

Ready, Set, Go!

For my card, I first had to look for a digital stamp as I am pretty sure I do not have one.  I found this cutie on Etsy from Pink Gem Designs called Ginger in Bobble Hat.  Then, I picked some fun, colorful Christmas patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye 6x6 pack called Be Merry. I added a bow with Balmy Blue satin ribbon along with some colorful confetti from Studio Katia. The raised feature is on the pon poms on her hat and the ties-I used Glossy Accents and it has been years since I used that bottle!  The accents I picked where the green tree on the sweater for a G and a gold star for the second G. What a fun and creative theme Kelly!

Here is the inside of my card, with a smaller version of Ginger:

Please be sure to check out the other Ready, Set, Go cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card. I am up for the next theme, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on the 3rd Wednesday in December!

The Light Shines in the Darkness

This is my November card is for the monthly swap that Pam hosts on SCS.  Each month we make 8 cards and include a matching envelope.  They can be any theme for any month.  All of the swappers are wonderful and I have received awesome cards each and every month.

I inked up one of my newer Christmas stamp sets from Taylored Expressions called The Light Shines!   I love the layering of the ornaments and star on the tree.  And, this sentiment is one of my all time favorites.  I think this would also work well in a slim-line card. The background paper is from Stampin' Up called All is Bright--perfect with all of the stars!  3 Taylored Expressions Drip Drops are the embellishment.  I think everyone can use a Christmas card.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Pam and the others swappers like my card this month!

Red Nose!

It is the 15th of the month and that means I am showing you a new Dueling Darlings card. We are in our 10th year of these duels as we started in August of 2010-so awesome!  For our November Challenge, Carol and Shelly are the hostesses. Shelly is a Dazzler and Carol is a Diva--same as me!   And we are all Dueling Darlings!

The theme for November is Red Nose!  Carol sent us some fun reindeer images from the CC Designs Reindeer Games set. I colored this little cutie with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I added some Spectrum Noir Glitter Pen over the part of the hat for more shimmer!  I layered the image over a sweet piece of red foil and some holiday plaid patterned paper that Carol sent along.   I added a strip of the shiny silver ribbon under the "Sparkly Wishes" sentiment in the kit.  I added a few rhinestones for a bit more sparkle!  This was fun card kit to play with--thanks Carol!

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope all of the Darlings enjoy my card this month. Please be sure to stop in to see what all of the Divas as well the Dazzlers have created this month. We take December off, so I will be back in January of 2021.  We will have a new group name as we are reorganizing--stay tuned for more details on January 15th!

There are a few members who do not have blogs: Suzy and LJ who are on the Diva team and Debby and
Terry S who are Dazzlers. You will be able to check out their creations in their SCS gallery, if you click on the link for their name.  All of the others should be found on my left sidebar.  I am sure you will enjoy all of the wonderful creations this month!
