Hoppy Birthday

Today as it is the 28th and the day I am posting my card for our Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 97th month of de-stash, so we are into our 8th year of challenges.  I cannot believe my thought about using what we have is now 8+ years old!   I really like these challenges and know they will continue as I know I have many, many items in my stash that I can use and love the fun challenges!

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Lisa posted our January challenge---Make a Masculine Card!

I picked a very old Darcie's Stamp Set called Cheers.  I love the big mug of beer!  I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and fussy cut the image.  I picked some masculine patterned paper that looks like paneling.  I added a piece of Basic Black cardstock that I embossed with a Sizzix folder called Woven. I used a very old Stampin' Up punch for the Hoppy sentiment.   I added some silver stars around the card.

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards in the next few days. There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSJAN.  You might see many cards there if you do a search.  They probably will be posted today or in the next few days.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For February, Suzy is up for our challenge.  Be sure to check back to see what we create then!

Christmas in July

Today is the 15th and this is my card for our The Creative Crew!  We are a group of 7 and all one team--Jeanette, Carol, Darlene, Lorraine, Terry, Tracie and me. Each month will be a new challenge posed by one of the members sending out a kit.  This month Jeanette sent everyone a fun Christmas in July kit. She decided after two months of florals, it was time for something cooler!

Jeanette sent everyone this cute image from CC Designs called Green One.  She was so kind as to have some already die cut for us--yay!   She also included a variety of sentiments--one is on the front and the other on the inside of my card.   We also received some fun and very colorful patterned paper.  Of course, she also included some bling along with ribbons.

I wanted to use a few of the colorful papers, so I layered two as my background for the image. I colored one of the die cut grinch images with my Copic Sketch Markers and added some Wink of Stella on the white fur.  I popped it up on the holly background.   I added a piece of the bright green ribbon to the panel.  The sentiment was die cut with a MFT banner die from the Blueprints 27 die set.  I added some bling to the banner and also around the background!  This was fun card to make!

This is the inside of my card with the second sentiment.

I hope all of The Creative Crew Gals enjoy my card this month. Please be sure to stop in to see what fun crafty cards are posted this month.  All of the blogs can be found on my left sidebar.  Our teammate Lorraine does not have a blog, so please check out her card in her SCS gallery.   I am sure you will enjoy all of the wonderful creations this month!

We will be back in August with the kit Lorraine will be sending out.  Be sure to check in with us on the 15th to see what fun she has planned!

Ginger in Bobble Hat

Today is the third Wednesday of the month and this is my Ready, Set, Go Challenge Card! The 3 Musketeers--Kelly, Jeanette and me--are back with another challenge for November, our 43rd month!  That means we are well into our 4th year--YAY!

Kelly provided this challenge for us: Gingerbread is an taste that's not for everyone so rather than eat gingerbread cookies, we're focusing on baking them! Create a card (or project) that FEATURES  a gingerbread man/woman. Next step in the recipe, since gingerbread rises when you bake it, have a raised feature on your card. This can be as easy as glitter glue or stickles or really fancy like a pop up card - your choice!  For the next step, use one of the colors of the word G-I-N-G-E-R-B-R-E-A-D and use that color as your trimming (hairbows, bowties, etc.)

Ready, Set, Go!

For my card, I first had to look for a digital stamp as I am pretty sure I do not have one.  I found this cutie on Etsy from Pink Gem Designs called Ginger in Bobble Hat.  Then, I picked some fun, colorful Christmas patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye 6x6 pack called Be Merry. I added a bow with Balmy Blue satin ribbon along with some colorful confetti from Studio Katia. The raised feature is on the pon poms on her hat and the ties-I used Glossy Accents and it has been years since I used that bottle!  The accents I picked where the green tree on the sweater for a G and a gold star for the second G. What a fun and creative theme Kelly!

Here is the inside of my card, with a smaller version of Ginger:

Please be sure to check out the other Ready, Set, Go cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card. I am up for the next theme, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on the 3rd Wednesday in December!

Another Winter Card Kit?

OKAY--you might be wondering why I have another winter card kit on my blog today when I said on Sunday that I was posting my last card.............  Well-I messed up and seemed to not count correctly to 10!  I "found" my two cards from Maggie's kit under my box of Copic Markers at the end of last week.  And, I thought I had lost the kit and then I found finished cards!  Seems that I am showing my age....................  Or, maybe I need to clean or organize a bit more often and see what other treasures I can find in my stamp room!

So--this IS my last kit with the fun snowman images Maggie sent.  She also included some pretty patterned paper along with many fun embellishments. I did make 2 cards and I will post the second card on Saturday--check back if you want to check it out.

I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers.   I layered the snowman with Single Stitched Oval dies from CottageCutz. I used some of the pretty patterned paper that Maggie included. A few blue rhinestones along with some silver cord and a bell are the final touches!  This is such a cute card!

Here is the inside of my card:

Thanks for a great kit Maggie--these were two fun cards to make!

AND--thanks to all of the ladies in this card kit group for showering me with these fun snowy, wintry kits!

Terry S' Card #2

I am back again to share the cards that I have made with the fun card kits I received in January.  I was so excited to be the recipient of these snowy themed card kits in a swap that I am hosting on SCS.  I received 10 kits and I am making 2 cards from each kit.  So--stay tuned as I will be making the wintry cards and posting more of them soon!

This is card kit #6, from Terry S. and this is my second card from her kit.  That means on my way to to the 2nd half and posting my 10 card kits--WHEW! Terry sent some cute penguin images along with some fun sentiments. She also included some pretty patterned paper along with many fun embellishments. I did make 2 cards and I will posted the first card yesterday-check back if you want to check it out.

Be sure to check back to see the rest of my creations from this fun card kit swap in the next few weeks!

I colored the sweet image with my Copic Sketch Markers and layered it with Spellbinders Circle Dies. The image and sentiment is from a retired Stampin' Up set. I used a My Mind's Eye Polka Dot patterned paper and added an orange ribbon. Sequins are the final touch!  This is such a cute get well card!

It is time for another The Three Musketeers post. We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the image that Jeanette sent for March--for Card #67!  That means we nearing the end of year #5--can you believe that?  All three of us sure have enjoyed the challenges every month and we hope that it continues for a long time!  Kelly is up next for the April challenge.  Be sure to come back to see what we create!

For our card this month, Jeanette sent us this sweet CC Designs cutie called Lumberjack Heidi!  I loved coloring up this image with my Copic Sketch Markers. I layered the colored image with the Stampin' Up oval dies and placed it over some cute plaid patterned paper from My Mind's Eye Wild Asparagus called Birthday Girl. Lemon Lime Twist ombre ribbon and some green sequins are the final touch.   I hope Jeanette and Kelly along with you enjoy my card!
