Use a Heart

This is my card for the February Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 14th month of de-stashing--we are now in year #2!

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group and the card is due to be posted on the 28th. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Tracie posted our February challenge--Use a heart someplace on your card.

I first picked some great patterned paper I got last spring at a stamp show in Milwaukee.  I then found the perfect sentiment to match and even found some heart ribbon in my stash!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards today or in the next day or so.  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSFEB.  You might see many cards there is you do a search.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For March, Heather is up and we will find out her theme soon.  Be sure to check back to see what we create for the start of our second year!

Ready, Set, Go!

Today is the third Wednesday of the month and that means a Ready, Set, Go Challenge Card! The 3 Musketeers (Jeanette, Kelly and me) are back with another challenge this month--our 10th month!

Kelly gave us our challenge for February:  Create a card or project using at least three letters of your first name.  Your letters may include the image itself or other parts of the card.  Sounds like a Fun challenge.  Ready--set--go!

I really hope I like the letters B-A-R, and not the alcohol part!  So--the letter B is for books and the crayon brad.  The letter A is for the apple and the alphabet on the patterned paper.  The letter R is for the red apple, red background paper nd red baker's Twine.  And, I can count the red crayon too!  I used to be on the Melonheadz Design Team and I do miss creating with her fun images.  I used a digital set called Back to School!

Here is the inside of my card:

Please be sure to check out the other Ready, Set, Go cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card and that you might too!  I am up for the next theme, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on the 3rd Wednesday in March!
