Joy Wreath

Here we are--this is the Double Duty Day!  This is the 36th month, so we are to the end of year #3.  AND--we will all be back in 2024 for our 4th year!

Each month, we get to pick a stamp set from a predetermined company. Then, we will use that one stamp set and make two cards from the set.  Different images and sentiments from the same set can be used, or use the same image two different ways—Double Duty either way!  But, as an added challenge, one item must be used on both cards—same color cardstock, same ribbon, same stencil, same something.  Double Duty Again!  We will post both cards on our blog on the the 22nd of each month.  See-Double Duty again!  We will be sure to have fun getting doubly inky each month with a different stamp company.  Let’s have fun!

For December, the company we picked was MFT-My Favorite Things Stamps! They make some really sweet stamps with matching dies. And, for today's cards, I went with mainly dies from the Joy Wreath stamp and die set.

For the first card, I stamped the wreath image twice in Taylored Expressions Cilantro ink and then die cut it with the matching die.  I also die cut the wreath two more times from green cardstock for adding layers behind the stamped wreath.  I then layered the 2 wreaths over each other for a thicked wreath.  I die cut the Joy and berries from The Paper Cut's Red Glitter Cardstock.  Joy is also layered three times.  The patterned paper is Simple Stories-Simple Vintage Rustic Christmas.  The sentiment is from a sentiment pack.

For this card, I die cut the wreath twice from The Paper Cut's Green Glitter cardstock. The word Joy and the berries this time were die cut from The Paper Cut's Red Lacquer Metallic Cardstock.  I layered the wreath on two piece of patterned paper from Fancy Pants Wish Seasons called Favorite Sweater.  I did not add a sentiment this time so Joy is my message!

I hope you enjoyed my cards for our group.  Please be sure to check out the other Double Duty cards. Here is a link to Jeanette'sDarlene’s  and  Carol's blogs.   I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of sets of great cards.

Yes, we will be back in 2024.  Next month we are using Stampin' Up--should be some fun cards.  So be sure to check out our cards on January 22nd!

The Project Bin Christmas

Here we are--this is the Double Duty Day!  This is the 32nd month, so we are now in year #3

For August, the company we pick is a stamp company that is no longer in business.  I decided to go with The Project Bin.  This is a fun company that Denise started and had primarily sentiment sets.  I was blessed to be on the design team for a few years so I got to create often with these great sets.  I still have every single set that was created.  It closed down at the end of 2020 and I do miss seeing the new stamp sets Denise would design!

I picked the fun Christmas stamp set called Joyful Song.  I love the bold musical  sentiments and the one I picked for the challenge is one of my favorites.

For both cards, I used Stampin' Up Cherry Cobbler ink for the sentiment and then die cut.  The first card uses a Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 4 and also a backer of the same color.  For the backgrounds, I picked a fun patterned paper from Fancy Pants called Saint Nick-Joy.  I added some red pearls around the die cut.

For the second card, I used the same ink color and same background.  This time I added a banner from the opposite side of the patterned paper.  The die is a Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 7--looks  like an open book!    I added red pearls around the image.

Again, both cards use the same background, same color ink and also a Spellbinders Nestabilities Die.  Red Pearls are also on each card.

I hope you enjoyed my cards for our group.  Please be sure to check out the other Double Duty cards. Here is a link to Jeanette'sDarlene’s  and  Carol's blogs.   I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of sets of great cards.

Next month we are using Rubbernecker Rubber Stamps--should be fun.  So be sure to check out our cards on September 22nd!

UIS #58!

This is my card for the 58th round of the UIS--Unidentified Image Swap on SCS.  Yes, the 58th round!  It is a group of ladies who are a part of a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The unidentified part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted.   The image for this round was provided by Janet!  She will swap the cards and include the next image that Darlene sent in our return envie. And then we get to do it all again--for round #59--in November!

Janet sent everyone this sweet House Mouse image called Everything's Coming Up Roses. I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and die cut it with a Whimsy Stamps Zig Zag Rectangle. I layered the image over a Fancy Pants Simplicity-Forum Patterned Paper.  I added some gray enamel does for the final touch!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the other blogs listed on my sidebars, you may find some other swappers who have posted their creations--due date is today, the 18th--or they may post in the upcoming days. You can also check out SCS and use the keyword UIS58 to see some posted there.  I hope everyone in the swap likes my card--and that you do too!

Holiday Thanks!

It is the 10th of the month and that means it is time for my card for the monthly themed swap that Terry is hosting on SCS. Each month she will post a theme and we make cards using any stamp set we believe follows that thought. This is our 46th month and the theme for November is "Holiday Thanks".

I went with a fun snowman image from Tim Holtz called Blustery.  I think he is tipping his hat and saying Thanks!

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Terry and the others swappers like my card this month too! We do not swap in December and Terry has already posted the January theme.  Be sure to come back in to see what we create in 2020!

January Joy!

It is time for another The Three Musketeers post. We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the image that I sent this month for Card #40!   All three of us sure have enjoyed the challenges every month and we hope that it continues for a long time!  Kelly will be up next for the February challenge, and I am sure it will be a fun image to play with.   Be sure to come back to see what we create!

For our January card, I inked up an Art Impressions image called Latte Love Set.  It is a fun bunch of ladies are all bundled up in winter gear, enjoying their hot beverages! I bought this stamp set a few months ago with a hope and dream in mind. I was looking forward to winter Camp Stamp-in-Oga along with the hopes and dream that both Kelly and Jeanette would be able to come to Wisconsin and join me.  And—it is happening!  I hope Jeanette and Kelly like my card. And, enjoy their time in Wisconsin in January--and that it snows during the time for Kelly, from Miami!

Here is the inside of my card and it will be a weekend filled with Joy!

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards!  They may post today, or it may be upcoming, so be sure to check out their blog for their card!

Up, Up and Away

It is March 15th of the month and that means I am showing you a new Dueling Darlings card.  For the March Challenge, Darlene and Laura Jean decided on the theme--Would You Like to Ride on my Beautiful Balloon!  Darlene is one of the Darlings and I am a part of the Diva team, which Laura Jean is on!

Laura Jean sent us a couple of My Favorite Things hot air balloon images and three great sentiments.  Some of the balloons were already die cut and some were on stamped on a quarter sheet.  She also include some wonderful patterned papers and matching embellishments. Laura Jean said this is one of her favorite MFT sets and I can see why!  I used two of the die cut balloons and made a z-fold card.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope all of the Darlings enjoy my card this month. Please be sure to stop in to see what all of the Divas as well the Dazzlers have created this month.

There are a few members who do not have blogs:  Suzy and Terry S who both are on the Diva team, and Terry A, Paola and Debby who are Dazzlers.  You will be able to check out their creations in their SCS gallery, if you click on the link for their name.  All of the others should be found on my left sidebar.  I am sure you will enjoy all of the wonderful creations this month!

But I am Cute!

This is the card for the 27th round of the Unidentified Image swap on SCS.  It is a group of ladies who are a part of a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The unidentified part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted--that is today!   The image for this round were provided by Lela.  She will swap the cards and include the next image that Heather, our next hostess, provides in our return envie.  And then we get to do it all again--for round #28!!!

The image that Terry sent is from one of my favorite companies--Penny Black, but I have seen it.  I think it sure is cute.  I also used one of my newest purchase--a set of stitched rectangle dies by Gina Marie Designs.  I bought a couple of different sets and I just love them!

Mystery Revealed

This card is for a Mystery Swap on SCS. A group of us are doing a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same mystery image, sent to us by the hostess. This swap was created by Forest Ranger—Jeanette and we are now in our second cycle.   Mae is the hostess this month and she chose a cute Stampin' Up image.   Mae will swap the cards--then send us the next image,  which Darlene is going to sent to her.  I can't wait to get the swap cards back to see how everyone else used the same image. Then everyone gets to do it all over again!

I am have been making a few spring type cards recently as I am sure hoping this well help bring warmer and some sunny weather our way!
