Gnome Sled

Today I am showing you a card for my monthly challenge for 2021--At Home With Gnomes. Each month I did create a card using one of my many gnome images. AND--it will continue into 2022 as I have more gnome stamps to use, and some that have already been stamped are too dang cute to not use again!

For this card, I picked a gnome stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs called Gnome Sled.   I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and added some Lawn Fawn Prisma Glitter on the bottom of the sled.  The background paper is from Paper Pizazz and is called Let It Snow. I added some blue enamel dots for the final touch!

One + 12 Final Card

This is my One Plus Twelve card, final month!  This was the brainchild of Kelly and she asked Jeanette and me to join her in this challenge. We are to use just one stamp, to make a card every month and post on the 3rd of each month.  It has been a great year and I truly loved using this stamp 12 different ways.  And--we just decided to continue this challenge in 2020--with a new image.  I have not picked it out yet, but be sure to check back next year to see our challenge continue!

As a mentioned for my first card in January,  I picked my favorite Stampin Up set--Lovely as a Tree.  It is now retired and it does make me a bit sad....  For my challenge this month, I embossed the trees with white embossing powder on Night of Navy and layered it on a piece of background paper with the words Let It Snow.  I added a snowflake and rhinestones for some additional glimmer!

Merry Christmas!

I do not have a new card to post today, but I am recycling one of my favorite Christmas Cards that I made last year.  It is one I made as a design team member for The Project Bin Stamps--A Way With Words!  I love so many of their great photopolymer stamp sets and I think you too will like these great sentiments!  And, as a bonus, some of the sets come with matching steel dies! Denise is the owner, founder and creator of these wonderful stamp sets. Please be sure to go and check them out!   

For this card, I used the a beautiful Christmas stamp set called Joyful Song.  This set comes with 5 great sentiment stamps for the holiday season!  I think it is the perfect sentiment to celebrate Christmas Day!

Dueling Darlings

It is the 15^th of the month and that means I am showing you a new Dueling Darlings card.  For our September Challenge, Suzy and Debby are the hostesses! They decided on the theme-Sunflowers!   Debby is the one of the Dazzlers and Suzy is a Diva, the team I am on, and we are all Dueling Darlings!

Suzy sent each of the Divas this pretty sunflower image by Stampendous.  Suzy included some great patterned papers and matching embellishments.   I enjoyed coloring and making this card.

I hope many of you participated in the Christmas in July Blog Hop last weekend.  I love the new set that we showcased, Joyful Song, so I used another sentiment from the same set.  For this card, I used a pair of Spellbinder dies that are shaped like a book.  This set comes with 3 main sentiments that are found in Christmas Carols, along with two sentiments you can use inside of your card.  There is also a small angel and a pair of wings to add to your creation--you will love the entire set!

Dream of Being

This is my card for January's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month.  Jeanette is the hostess this month and sent everyone this pensive image.  Jeanette noted that it looks as if she is reflecting on the year ahead and what she hopes to accomplish.  The two images Jeanette added are also very appropriate for the start of the New Year.  Jeanette also included some wonderful coffee patterned papers and some  embellishments for our card!

Calendar Girls ~ Winter Wonderland

 

It is the 28^th, so I am here to welcome you to another round with the Calendar Girls!

Who are the Calendar Girls? We are a group of bloggers who want to have a place where friendships blossom, creativity abounds, and encouragement prevails! In keeping with that dream, this blog group has been created so we will have a place to interact and enjoy being fellow bloggers. 

This is the challenge this month, brought to us by Kelly.

This is what she wrote:  Since we post the 28th of the month, Santa will have returned to the North Pole by then and it will be a wee bit shy for the New Year.   Growing up in Europe where winters where filled with the beauty of snow and all the splendors of ice, I am filled with joy when I see all things snow. While some of you may long for sunshine and warmth, here in Miami I miss all of that during the holiday season.   So for this month, let's live vicariously in your creations of a WINTER WONDERLAND! 

Picture snow-filled winter trees, snow nestled on park benches, fountains and tree branches ... ponds frozen over, icicles in the pine forests ... there is snow-filled glory all around us in the winter.   I would love for you to use blue and silver on your cards and a snowflake(s) somewhere on your card via paper, design, brad, etc! Here is a lovely photo for your inspiration piece!

I thought this was a great challenge—I have quite a few Northwoods Stamps and many have great snowy images.  I bought this stamp last year at a stamp show and had not inked it up yet.  I thought this was the perfect window into the snowy winter wonderland!  I have the blue and the silver in the paper and cardstock and with the snowflake brads!

I added some “snow” on the pine trees with a white gel pen.  I also used a clear Copic Spica pen over the snowman to give him some shimmer and added some over the snow on the trees.
