Set Sail for SOTC

This is my card for our every other month swap for a group of ladies on SCS--the SOTC--Sisters of the Traveling Cards!  Laura Jean is our hostess for June and she posted the following: The theme is Splish Splash!!!  Please make a card with a focus on anything to do with water - swimming, fishing, ocean creatures, boats, mermaids, etc. There just has to be some "water aspect" to the card. I thought this would be a fun theme with Summer coming up! .

I think this is one of my favorite Stampin' Up stamps and I love the nautical paper!

I hope Laura Jean and the others in our sisterhood like my card!

Camp Sketch Challenge

This is the second of the two cards I made for the challenges for Camp Stamp-In-Oga, which is being held today. This is a great event that is organized by my Stampin' Up demo and her buddy Cheryl that is held three times a year.  This is the second one in 2016 and is being held at my church, so it is less than 5 minutes away. It is a great time, with a stamp class in the morning where we make 5 cards.  Then, some of the stampers plan to stay for the rest of the day and stamp away until close to midnight.  There are raffles and prizes and great food.  It is such a fun day!

This is for the sketch challenge. If you check back at my post from yesterday, you will my card for the color challenge.  I am hoping one of the two is a winner!

This is the first of the two cards I made for the challenges for Camp Stamp-In-Oga, which will be held tomorrow. This is for the color challenge. We were given the option of six colors and two were of the new in-colors, but I have not gotten my club order yet for this month.  So-I went with two classics-Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight.  If you check back at my post on tomorrow, you will my card for the sketch challenge.  I am hoping one of the two is a winner!

It is a gate card and here are the two flaps opened part way:

Shabby Chic

This is my card for June's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month.  Debby is the hostess this month and sent us a cute Inkadinkado image, stamped on Kraft paper.  Debby loves shabby chic so she challenged us to create a car in that style.  Debby also sent us some great embellishments and patterned papers, along with a piece of burlap.

We are to post our cards between the 21st and 23rd of each month--so if you check the blogs on my sidebars today or in the next few days, you may see more of these wonderful creations!

I used my aqua pen to water color the image and fussy cut it so I could mount it over the piece of burlap.  I used some of the cute flowers Debby sent on the outside of my card, and on the inside.  I did use the sweet lace Debby sent!

Here is the inside of my card:

This was a fun kit and I hope the Debby and the others like my card.

Card Kit #9

I am back with another card that I am made from the card kits from the group on SCS that Heather organized.  I was showered with kits in April and I am finishing up posting the cards I have made. In this group, we do not post any wishes of what we want to receive--each person who sends the kit, makes it however they want.  I have received a variety of fun images and so many extras to make many more cards!

I made the cards in the order I received the kits. This is the 9th card, made from a kit sent by Angie. I have one more kit to go-from Lori and I will post that in the next week or so.  I hope I did OK and that Angie likes my card.

Here is the inside of my card.

You're Doggone Great

It is the 15th of the month and that means we get to show off a new Dueling Darlings challenge. For the June Challenge, Laura Jean and Darlene are the Darlings who decided on the theme.  Darlene is a Darling and Laura Jean is a Diva, my team!

The theme or challenge they picked is "Pets".  Laura Jean sent us two different Kraftin' Kimmie Images--they are both soooooooooo darn cute!  She also sent some matching sentiments and sweet patterned paper.   There was also an assortment of embellishments for us to chose from!

Here is the inside of my card--I used the cute bow LJ sent, along with a piece of the great patterned paper.

I hope LJ and the other Darlings enjoy my card.

California Dreaming

Here is my card for our June mystery image group.  Sonja sent us a couple of her favorite rose images.  She then "assigned" us each the name of a rose from Edmunds Rose Company.  We then were to look up that rose-Sonja assigned us one she picked especially for the member of our group we are to send our card to.  We were then instructed to color our tea rose like the one in the catalog. The rose I was given was California Dreaming and I get to send it to Sonja.  She does live in California and I hope she thinks I did an okay job!

Next month, Vickie is our hostess and I cannot wait to see what fun image she has picked out.  So--we all get to create another round of cute cards.

I used my clear Wink of Stella pen over the rose, so it does have a shine, like sprinkled with dew.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Sonja and the others in our group like my card.  I cannot wait to see all of the other rose creations!

Sparkled with Fun!

This is the card for the 26th round of the Unidentified Image swap on SCS.  It is a group of ladies who are a part of a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The unidentified part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted--that is today!   The images for this round were provided by Terry.  She will swap the cards and include the next image that Lela, our next hostess, provides in our return envie.  And then we get to do it all again--for round #27!!!

The image that Terry sent is from one of my favorite companies--Art Impressions.  I just laugh out loud at so many of their images.

I added some Wink of Stella glitter to the frosting as it does need to sparkle!  And, it actually is showing up in the picture!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the other blogs listed on my sidebars, you may find some other swappers who have posted their creations today or in the next few days.  I hope Lela and the others in this swap like my card!

Three Musketeer's Bring Color!

It is time for another The Three Musketeers post. We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the image Jeanette provided this month for Card #21!  We have been doing this for more almost two years now and it has been a blast! I up next for the July challenge, so I had better get my thinking cap on and decide what image I want to stamp up!  Be sure to come back to see what we create!

For our card this month, Jeanette sent out a great Stamping Bella image along with some matching sentiments.  I think the image is so sweet!

Here is the inside of my card--I think both of these ladies bring tons and tons of color to my life!
