Camp Challenge Cards

These are my two cards for I made for our card challenges at Camp Stamp-in-Oga, which is being held today--Saturday, the 20th! Sarah, our camp leader, posts the challenges about a week before the camp.  There is a sketch and a color challenge.

The first card is for the color challenge--there were 6 color choices--Night of Navy, Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay.  I picked the first three and used the Stampin' up star framelits and the triple banner punch for the layout.

The second card was for the sketch challenge and I used non-traditional colors for a Christmas card.  I used a pop of gold cardstock on the small banner for some color.  The background paper is from the Merry Music pack and is actually the musical words to Deck the Halls!

I am hoping one will be a winner today!

Here is the insides of both cards:

Love Beyond Words

It is one week to Valentine's Day, so that means Love is in the Air!

This is my card for the Crafters of Faith that my friend Kelly is hosting on SCS.  This is our second month and I was up to post the challenge.  With it being the start of the month of love, I chose the following:  Do Everything in Love from 1 Corinthians, 16:14.  This does not need to be a Valentine card, so you can make a card or a tag or anything else for any occasion, with Love!

I made a card that used a Impression Obsession's stamp that I really do "love"  I think the sentiment can be used for many occasions!

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Kelly and the others like my card this month!  We are to post between the 7th and 10th of each month, so if you look on my sidebar, you may see other creations.  I know that there will be many posted in the COF thread on SCS too!

Camp Color Challenge

This is the one of the two cards I made for the challenges for Camp Stamp-In-Oga, which was held yesterday.  It is always great time, with a stamp class in the morning where we make 5 cards.  Then, some of the stampers plan to stay for the rest of the day and stamp away until close to midnight.  There are raffles and prizes and great food.  AND, I get to spend the day with some of my SCS friends, LJ and Terry, who are from Wisconsin and best of all, Darlene, who came all the way from New Hampshire to get inky with us!  We have had a great couple of days, but she "has" to go home tomorrow!

This is for the color challenge. If you come back tomorrow, you will my card for the sketch challenge.  I am hoping one of the two is a winner!

Color Challenge for Camp Stamp-in-Oga

This is the second of the two cards I made for the challenges for Camp Stamp-In-Oga, which was held yesterday.  It is always great time, with a stamp class in the morning where we make 5 cards.  Then, some of the stampers plan to stay for the rest of the day and stamp away until close to midnight.  There are raffles and prizes and great food.

This is for the color challenge. If you check back at my post from Friday, you will my card for the color challenge.  I am hoping one of the two is a winner!

I inked up the Woodlands Embossing Folder with Versamark on the "front side" and ran my vanilla piece through.  I then added copper embossing powder.  But I used a small paint brush and removed most of the powder around the trees and left it in the nooks of the branches.  I like the subtle look of the embossing.  The tag is also embossed with copper.

For the leaves, I used the baby wipe technique and re-inkers.  I really like the variety of colors on the leaves.

Here is the inside of my card:

Image/Sentiment: Stampin' Up Thoughtful Branches

Cardstock/Patterned Paper:  Stampin' Up Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Mint Macaroon

Ink:  Versamark; SU re-inkers for baby wipe technique

Accessories:  SU Woodlands Embossing Folder, 5/8" Early Espresso Satin Ribbon, Linen Thread, Copper Twine, Beautiful Branches Framelits

Camp Stamp-in-Oga Sketch Challenge Card

This is one of the two cards I made for the challenges for Camp Stamp-In-Oga, which is being held tomorrow. This is a great event that is organized by my Stampin' Up demo and her buddy Cheryl that is held three times a year.  This is the final one in 2016 and is being held at my church, so it is less than 5 minutes away. It is a great time, with a stamp class in the morning where we make 5 cards.  Then, some of the stampers plan to stay for the rest of the day and stamp away until close to midnight.  There are raffles and prizes and great food.  It is such a fun day!

This is for the sketch challenge. If you check my post on Sunday, you will my card for the color challenge.  I am hoping one of the two is a winner!

Graduation Mortar Board

This is my card for our every other month swap for a group of ladies on SCS--the SOTC--Sisters of the Traveling Cards!  Pam is our hostess for August and she posted the following: Getting Ready for Gifting!

Invariably I need a card to hold a gift card or even cash for someone special AND we are almost halfway to Christmas! EEK! Please make a card that has an enclosure/pocket/flap to hold a gift card or cash. It can be any theme - birthday, wedding, thank you or even Christmas!
I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

I went with a Graduation Card, shaped like a Mortar Board! We made one similar to this, using the same fold and some other stamps, at a card class earlier this year.  I thought I was darn cute!  A bit putzy, but I really like it!

Here is the inside, opened up to the first panel.

Here is the top envie, with a place to put some cash.

Here is the entire card opened:

I hope Pam and the others in our sisterhood like my card!

Welcome Baby

This is my card for the monthly themed swap that Makani is now hosting on SCS.  Each month she will post a theme and we make cards using a Stampin' Up set that we believe follows that thought. This is our second month and the theme was "Warm Fuzzies".  I struggled a bit with coming up with a image to use for the theme--but I figured that every baby loves to be snuggled and is a warm fuzzy for all!

I hope Makani and the others swappers like my card this month!  I cannot wait to see what our theme is for February and Makani will post that today!

Wishing you all the Pumpkins.....

It is time for another The Three Musketeers post.  We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the image that Kelly provided this month for Card #12!  We have now completed 4 rounds and Jeanette will be up for November and lucky #13!

For our card this month, Kelly sent this sweet Lil Inker Designs image--isn't it the sweetest!  Kelly also sent three sentiments and I thought this one was perfect for the inside of my card.  I even added banners, as those are one of Kelly's favorite things to add to her awesome cards!

Here is the inside of my card:

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards!  They may post today, or it may be upcoming, so be sure to check out their cards!
