Masculine Cards

I am catching up on some card kits from various events. I have many kits from The Paper Cut that need to be completed. These 4 cards are from a kit called Textured Masculine.  This was a kit that was in Fun Time Thursday class from a few months ago.

The kit included all of the items to make 4 cards.  All the background panels were already embossed and we swiped ink over the top for the highlighted texture. They sure are fun cards and I always need masculine cards!

I hope you enjoyed my cards!

You Silly Goose

Today is the 15th and this is my card this month for our The Creative Crew!  We are a group of 6--Jeanette, Darlene, Lorraine, Terry, Tracie and me. Each month will be a new challenge posed by one of the members sending out a kit. For July, Terry was the hostess and sent out this sweet goose image from Taylored Expressions called Silly Goose.  She also included this cute sentiment and some fun patterned paper.  Yes Terry, we never can have enough birthday cards!

I colored the cute goose girl with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I then cut the image and sentiment with the matching die set that I too own.  I picked the polka dotted patterned paper Terry sent for the background.  I then die cut an arch with a Taylored Expressions Arched Stacklet die and then embossed the arch with a TE Embossing Folder called Shoutout birthday.  I added some Stampin' Up Shimmery Dots around the image.

I hope all of The Creative Crew Gals enjoy my card this month.  Please be sure to stop in to see what fun cards are posted this month.  All of the blogs can be found on my left sidebar.   I am sure you will enjoy all of the cute birthday cards.

For August, Jeanette and I are up for our sketch and color challenge.   Be sure to check in with us on the 15th to see what fun is planned!

Lily of the Valley

I am catching up on a couple of Card Stash Door Dash kits from Sarah and Stampin' Up.  This is the Lily of the Valley from May of this year...............  not too late!  Reminder--these are not my own designs!  The cards are the designs from Sarah and I am just recreating the cards from the kit.

The kit included all of the items to make 2 sets of 3 cards.  Plus, a pack of shimmering dots and a half pack, 24 6x6 sheets, of the Lily of the Valley patterned paper.  I have the stamp and die set, as I too love the flowers.  They remind me of my mom as we had them all around the house at the farm.  They do spread and we used to have them in our garden at the bottom of the steps, but no more.  They really, really do spread and we had to take them out a few years ago.  I still find a few plants coming up each spring.

I really like Sarah's designs and I hope you enjoyed my cards!

Bear Fireman Birthday

I am catching up on some card kits from various events. I have many kits from The Paper Cut that need to be completed. These 3 cards are from a kit called Bear Fireman Birthday.   This was a kit that was in a Comments Sold sale that Sarah had a few months ago.  The kit originally was a make n' take at the warehouse in Appleton in February during their birthday sale.

The kit included all of the items to make 3 cards, plus a set of two Happy Birthday stamps that I did not use. The two cards on the left have the patterned paper square closed and the one on the right shows what happens when you tug on the bended corner.  The fun bear fireman appears! I did use a Taylored Expressions Embossing Folder called Rockin' Rhombus on the background panel.  They sure are cute cards and I love the funny sentiment at the bottom!

I hope you enjoyed my cards!

Silly Goose

Today as it is the 28th and the day I am posting my cards for our Challenge Your Stash group on SCS. This is our 113th month of de-stash, so we are into our 8th year of challenges.  I cannot believe my thought about using what we have is now 9+ years old! I really like these challenges and know they will continue as I know I have many, many items in my stash that I can use and love the fun challenges!

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Vickie posted our May challenge--May is International Respect for Chickens Month; create a card or project with a chicken as the main focus!

WELL--I grew up on a farm and I guess I do not know the difference between a chicken and a goose....................  I knew what the challenge was and also knew I wanted to use a newer Taylored Expressions stamp and die set called Silly Goose.  That should have been my first clue!  I honestly did not realize I used a goose until I started to write this blog post!  So, I hope Vickie is okay with a goose being a part of her challenge this month.................

I did pick this new Taylored Expressions set and stamped the goose with the balloon along with one of the sentiments. I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and then die cut it with the coordinating die. I stamped the sentiment and used one of the matching dies. The background is some fun patterned paper from American Crafts Daydreams-Joyful Day. I added some Taylored Expressions Bits & Pieces Teal Glitter Drops around the image.

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards in the next few days. They will all probably have chickens on their card!  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSMAY.  You might see many cards there if you do a search.  They probably will be posted today or in the next few days.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For June, Darlene is up for our challenge.  Be sure to check back to see what we create then!

Waffle Flower times 2

Today is the 22nd and it is Double Duty Day! This is the 64th month, so we are now into our 6th year!  More Doubling Up!

Each month, we get to pick a stamp set from a predetermined company. Then, we will use that one stamp set and make two cards from the set.  Different images and sentiments from the same set can be used, or use the same image two different ways—Double Duty either way!  But, as an added challenge, one item must be used on both cards—same color cardstock, same ribbon, same stencil, same something.  Double Duty Again!  We will post both cards on our blog on the the 22nd of each month.  See-Double Duty again!  We will be sure to have fun getting doubly inky each month with a different stamp company.  Let’s have fun!

For May we are going with Waffle Flower.  This is a fun company as they offer so many different cardmaking items. I have a few of their sets as it is a new company to me.

I picked a pretty floral set called Daffodil.  There is a stamp set, matching dies and stencils.  There is not a sentiment in the set, so I picked two from my stash.  I ink blending the stamped images with Taylored Expression inks and used the matching die to cut the daffodil stem.  I added some Pinkfresh Studio Sunshine Jewels on both cards.

For this green card, the embossing folder is from Tim Holtz-Sizzix called Cobblestone 2.  I die cut a piece of vellum from a Spellbinders Stylish Ovals Die.

For the white card, the back panel is a Brass & Bliss Nested Woodgrain Sign. I added some twine at the bottom of the image.

Please be sure to check out the other Double Duty cards. Here is a link to Jeanette's,  Darlene’s,  and Terry's blogs. I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of sets of great cards.

Next month we are going to highlight Taylored Expressions--probably my favorite company! This company makes such fun products.  So be sure to check out our cards on June 22nd!

Delicate Whispers

I am still working on my cards from the Scrapbook & Cards Spring 2026 Crop & Create Delivered event.   The pouches with each class has been waiting patiently for me from the event the end of March.  I was at my retreat the weekend of C&CD, so now I get to work at them at my own pace.  I only have a few left--and yes, I have skipped some that are just not my style.................

Reminder--these are not my own designs!  The cards are the designs of the other instructors from these classes.  I am just recreating the cards from the class. These creations are from Jennifer McGuire for Pinkfresh Studio called Fresh Frames and Floral Joy.

We received a sweet kit in our box. We received a cute stamp set, matching dies and coordinating stencils called Delicate Whispers.  We also received a coverplate called Charmed Octagons.  We also got a pack of gems.  Jennifer always comes up with unique cards and this class was no exception.   We ink blended the stamped images with 4 PFS colors of ink.  We die cut the Octagon coverplate numerous times and used it on all three cards.  It was a very fun class and I really like the cards we made.

I hope you enjoyed my cards! More to Come!

Diamond Botanical

This card will be posted later today on Instagram for a hop called Fans of Taylored Expressions! I love Taylored Expressions and many of my friends also do.  So--I wanted to join a group that loves them!!! And, I found my people!  The hop is always the third Saturday of every month.

The theme for May is for her.  I have a number of Taylored Expressions florals and thought this older set would be perfect.

I picked an older Taylored  Expressions stamp and die set called Diamond Botanical. There are also packs of Foil It panels that coordinate and that is what I picked.  I foiled the panel with both gold and green foil. I picked the green foiled panel and colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I die cut the image and layered it over a panel that I used the Diamonds Piercing Plate. I stamped one of the sentiments from the same set in the middle of the diamond.    I added some Bits & Pieces Sparkle Party around the sentiment for the final touch!

This hop on Instagram happens every month on the 3rd Saturday with different themes.   I know I will be back hopping in June!

A LIttle Birdie

I have been working on my cards from the Scrapbook & Cards Spring 2026 Crop & Create Delivered event.  The pouches with each class has been waiting patiently for me from the event the end of March.  I was at my retreat the weekend of C&CD, so now I get to work at them at my own pace.  I posted the cards from Mindy for Pretty Pink Posh last week and have more to come!

Reminder--these are not my own designs!  The cards are the designs of the other instructors from these classes.  I am just recreating the cards from the class. These creations are from Laura Graff for Scrapbook.com called Delight in the Details--Interactive Cardmaking Fun.

We received an amazing kit in our box. We received the Love Birds Die Set, A Little Birdie stamp set, coordinating sentiment set, a matching die set along with coordinating rub-ons.  We also received a cute A2 Delight Patterned Paper Pack.  Laura showed us so many ways to use so many of the products in this class.  We made a shaker window card, a slider card and a quilt patch card.  The rub-ons are also very sweet and not at all like the rub-ons from years ago.  It was a very fun class and I really like the floral and birdie cards!

I hope you enjoyed my cards! More to come as this was only class #2.

SCT and Pretty Pink Posh

Today is the last day of April and I am posting a set of cards for our challenge-The Catch-up Club!   A few of my stamping friends, Darlene, Jeanette and Terry along with myself, have signed up for a number of virtual stamping events in the past 4+ years.  One of the benefits of these events are that they are available to rewatch or even watch for the first time at a later date as they are all recorded. The 4 of us "try" to watch live and chat by texting during the event.  But, life steps in and there are times when one or more of us are not participating during the live.  Then, the kits from sponsors sits in our stamping area until we are ready to watch the video and create.  During one of the events, we decided we needed to push ourselves (and each other) to get some of these events done!   So--we all decided to devote one day a month, the last day of the month for the somewhat procrastinators that we are, to post cards we missed making.

So--here we are in our 35th month of The Catch Up Club!

Reminder--these are not my own designs!  The cards are the designs of the other instructors from these classes.  I am just recreating the cards from the class. This month the creations are from the March Scrapbook & Cards Today event called Crop & Create Delivered.  I was not able to watch any of the classes live and I am now starting on my pouches.  This is from the first class, taught by Mindy Eggen for Pretty Pink Posh.

The card on the left has a stencil background with the large Cupcake Die.  The card on the right is a shaker card with the same die set and a stamped background.  Both cards have a some fun clay sprinkles called It's A Party. I have one more card from Mindy's class and then it is on to Laura Graf with Scrapbook.com!

I have a all of the classes from this spring Crop & Create to complete, 11 more companies!  Plus a few more virtual classes from The Paper Cut that need to be completed.   And, I know I have quite a few Pinkfresh Studio Create & Connect events from the past 3+ years to finish.  There are many pouches on my shelf that need attention! BUT--I am sure trying to Catch Up!

I hope you enjoyed my cards!  Here are the links to the other of the Catch Up Club.  Please be sure to check out Jeanette's, Terry's, and Darlene's blogs.  They may post tomorrow or in the next few days but we have all promised to post cards that we have missed the making along the way!  Come back in May to see what else I am behind on!
