Farwell Post for Mystery Group

Here is my card for our December mystery image group.  I sent this image as it is one of my favorite winter stamps.  It also is the last card I am going to be posting for this group as I am stepping away in 2017.  It has been fun to get a new envelope every month and creating cards with new images and often new companies!  I really enjoyed being a part for the past two years and I wish everyone the best for the new round!  Thanks Mystery Ladies!

I used some clear Wink of Stella on all three of the snowmen, so they do sparkle a bit.  I wish everyone who is continuing in this group the best!

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope the others in our group like my card.  I cannot wait to see all of the other creations!

Reading Flopsey

This is the card for the 29th round of the Unidentified Image swap on SCS.  It is a group of ladies who are a part of a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The unidentified part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted--that is today!   The image for this round were provided by Kelly.  She will swap the cards and include the next image that Tracie, our next hostess, provides in our return envie.  And then we get to do it all again--for round #30--in February!

The image that Kelly sent is so darn cute.  I love many of the MFT Images!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the other blogs listed on my sidebars, you may find some other swappers who have posted their creations today or in the next few days.  I hope Kelly and the others in this swap like my card!

Secret Santa

It is time for another The Three Musketeers post. We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the image that I provided this month for Card #27!  All three of us sure have enjoyed the challenges every month for more than two years and hope that it continues for a few more!  Jeanette is up next for the January challenge and she said the images are already in the mail.  Be sure to come back to see what we create!

For our card this month, I went with a traditional Santa image that I love.  I covered his beard with Clear Wink of Stella and used a new white acrylic marker on the fur on his suit.  I then added some White Wink of Stella to give it a bit of sparkle.  I really like this image and I hope Jeanette and Kelly did too!

Here is the inside of my card:

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards!  They may post today, or it may be upcoming, so be sure to check out their blog for their card!

Birthday Bash

This card is for the monthly swap that Pam hosts on SCS.  Each month we make 10 cards and include a matching envelope.  They can be any theme for any month.  All of the swappers are wonderful and I have received awesome cards each and every month.

I decided to make a birthday card for December instead of a Christmas Card.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Pam and the others swappers like my card this month!

The Christmas House!

So, some of you may think that I have just been sitting around, eating bon-bons and enjoying the sunshine in Wisconsin.................................... But No!  I have been in the middle of the Christmas Transformation!  I thought I would share some pictures of some of our decorations this year.

This is our main tree, 9 feet tall and has hundreds of ornaments on it.  This is the first tree--yes, I said first, tree that I decorate every year.............  We have 17 decorated trees in our house and another 7 or 8 that just have white lights and no ornaments. Yes, we do love Christmas!

Here are a couple of the themed trees--A Bucky one for UW-Madison and another that has ornaments collected from our vacations.

These two trees are filled with memories of my life as a teacher and coach, with the second one all sports related ornaments, especially volleyball related!

Here is what our fireplace looks like, with a few of our Santa's gracing the top.

This is one of our bay windows, full of snowmen that say around until the end of January

We also have small trees in each of the bathrooms, a purple and silver one in the master bedroom and one in the laundry room too.  In the lower level, we have a red, white and blue tree, a tree with farm related ornaments and one with German ornaments, along with some with just lights.  We also have a number of nativity scenes in the house too.

The outside has white lights on the gutters along with red and white lights over the four shrubs.  We will decorate the porch rail tomorrow morning with greenery as we need to cut some branches for it and add red and white lights.  I also decorated an arch in the backyard by the hot tub with blue and white lights so we can enjoy them while relaxing there.  We also have a small lit tree on the front porch along with one by the garage.

I hope you have enjoyed my pictures and a stroll around our Christmas house.  We have a cocktail party tomorrow night, so the house is ready to go.  Now, to work on the food and beverages.........................
