Graduation

This is my April card is for the monthly swap that Pam hosts on SCS.  Each month we make 8 cards and include a matching envelope.  They can be any theme for any month.  All of the swappers are wonderful and I have received awesome cards each and every month.

I inked up one of my favorite lines of wood mounted stamps--Paper Inspirations Graduate Calligraphy.  The background paper is from Bo Bunny Pop Quiz-Chalkboard.   I added a strip of black satin ribbon and a few rhinestones are the final touch.  I think everyone can use a graduation card.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Pam and the others swappers like my card this month!

Congrats Grad!

It is time for another The Three Musketeers post. We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the image that I sent for May--for Card #69!  That means we nearing the end of year #5--can you believe that?  All three of us sure have enjoyed the challenges every month and we hope that it continues for a long time!  Jeanette is up next for the June challenge.  Be sure to come back to see what we create!

For our card this month, I sent out this sweet graduation image from Taylored Expressions called Matchy-Matchy Grad!  I also included some coordinating sentiments.  This is a perfect image for this time of year as I know we all know someone who is graduating--even though there are no special ceremonies this year...........................  I colored image with my Copic Sketch Markers. I then used my Taylored Expression Diagonal Stripes Cutting Plate for the first time.  I cut sections from different sheets of the Doodlebug 6x6 The Graduates patterned paper and the outline from Smokey Slate.  It might be a bit of a busy background by using different patterns. I layered the sentiment with some ovals and added silver cord behind.  I hope Jeanette and Kelly along with you enjoy my card!

Here is the inside of my card, with another of the sentiments:

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is the link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards!  They may post today or tomorrow, so be sure to check out their blogs for their card!   As I mentioned, Jeanette is up for our June challenge, so please come back!

Challenge Your Stash!

Today is the day I post a project for our Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 24th month of de-stashing-we are at the end of our 2nd year into our challenges.  Yes, we will be back in January for the start of year #3!

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group and the card is due to be posted on the 28th. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Jody posted our December challenge--Use an owl on your card

I inked up one of my favorite Penny Black stamps.  I made another graduation card--I made one for Maggie's November challenge too!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards yesterday on the 28th, today or in the next few days.  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSDEC.  You might see many cards there is you do a search.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For January, Sue is up and we already know our next theme.  Be sure to check back to see what we create in 2019!

Masculine Graduation

Today is the 28th of the month and it is the day I post a project for our Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 23rd month of de-stashing-we are coming to the end of our 2nd year into our challenges.

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group and the card is due to be posted on the 28th. Maggie posted our November challenge--Make a masculine card and use a die on it.

I used a die that I purchased last spring that I thought would make a cute graduation card and used some masculine paper too.  I added the word "Congrats" from another die in my stash!

Here is the inside of my card:

The Tassel was Worth the Hassle

It is time for another The Three Musketeers post. We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the image that Kelly sent for this month for Card #33!  All three of us sure have enjoyed the challenges every month for more getting close to three years and we hope that it continues for a few more!  I am up next for the July challenge, so I had better start to think about what to stamp!  Be sure to come back to see what we create!

For our card this month, Kelly sent us this sweet Kraftin' Kimmie image in honor of her daughter who is graduating high school. All three of us have teaching in our blood as both Kelly and Jeanette have daughters who are teachers and I am a retired teacher!  I hope Jeanette and Kelly like my card.

Graduation Mortar Board

This is my card for our every other month swap for a group of ladies on SCS--the SOTC--Sisters of the Traveling Cards!  Pam is our hostess for August and she posted the following: Getting Ready for Gifting!

Invariably I need a card to hold a gift card or even cash for someone special AND we are almost halfway to Christmas! EEK! Please make a card that has an enclosure/pocket/flap to hold a gift card or cash. It can be any theme - birthday, wedding, thank you or even Christmas!
I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

I went with a Graduation Card, shaped like a Mortar Board! We made one similar to this, using the same fold and some other stamps, at a card class earlier this year.  I thought I was darn cute!  A bit putzy, but I really like it!

Here is the inside, opened up to the first panel.

Here is the top envie, with a place to put some cash.

Here is the entire card opened:

I hope Pam and the others in our sisterhood like my card!

Congratulations Jack Lukas

My godson Jack Lukas graduated from high school earlier this month and his party was last Saturday.  This is the card I made for him.  I am so excited that JL has chosen to attend UW-Whitewater this fall and he plans to play football for the Warhawks!  Both of his parents graduated from UW-W and I received my master's degree from the university.  The campus is about 30 miles away, so I am sure there will be many Saturday afternoons in the next few years spent watching the games and hopefully seeing JL as the QB!

Here is the inside of my card.

Con-grad-ulatons!

This is for the monthly swap that Pam hosts on SCS. Each month we make 10 swap cards and they can be any theme. All of the swappers are wonderful and I have gotten some awesome cards back in past months.

This month, I chose to make a graduation card--and kept it the traditional black and white so others can probably use it.

Here is the inside and the matching envelope.
