Dogs Leave Paw Prints

Today is the day after the 28th and I am posting my card for our Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 44th month of de-stashing-we are into our 4th year of our challenges.

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Maggie posted our August challenge--I'd like to see a card that has to do with your pet - any kind of pet. If you don't have a pet, make one up! Pretend you have a pet. Or maybe you sometimes take care of someone else's pet. August is all about pets!

I have quite a few pet stamps--but we do not have a pet.  Well-not one that lives at our house 24/7/365.  But--we do dog sit for two fur babies at various times of the year.  Our friend Claudia is Maggie's mom and another friend Jill has Jasper.  Both have stayed here numerous times over the past few years.  So--I picked this sweet Unity Itty Bitty stamp set called Dogs Leave Prints.  I inked up the image along with the sentiment with Stampin' Up Early Espresso and Cherry Cobbler inks. I color the image with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I used some fun patterned paper from Photo Play called Dog Park for the background and I added some Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine for the only embellishment.

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards in the next few days. I am a day late in posting, so you might need to check back a day on some blog.  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSAUG.  You might see many cards there is you do a search.  They probably will be posted today or in the next few days.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For September, Tracie is up.  Be sure to check back to see what we create!

Friday's With The Project Bin

It is Friday, so  that means that I am back with another card for The Project Bin Stamps--A Way With Words!  I am posting on alternate Fridays, using one of the great photopolymer stamp sets from this sweet company.  So, please plan to come back to see what I have created--I think you too will love these great sentiment stamp sets.  And, remember, some of the sets come with matching steel dies! Denise is the owner, founder and creator of these wonderful stamp sets.  The sentiments she has for us to ink up are just perfect for any holiday or time of year.  Please be sure to go and check them out!

I am so excited to see what great stamp sets Denise has in mind for the future.  I am sure she will have some wonderful sentiments for us to ink up and for you to consider purchasing!  I just know you too will love creating cards with these stamp sets!!!
If you want to check out more creations from the design team, be sure to check out The Project Bin Blog as often as you can.  Every day there is a different card posted by one of the design team members.

For my second card in August, I used the sweet and so true set called Handmade.  I love the sentiment in this set and I do try to send cards out every week.  And, I do hope they are displayed on a mantle!

I inked up the stamp with Pacific Point. The background paper is from a great set by Stampin' Up called Follow Your Art.  I love this patterned paper and it is a perfect compliment to this great saying!   Three blue brads  and a strip of Pacific Point ribbon between the two patterned papers are the added embellishments.    I really like this card and I hope you do too.  Now--who to send it to?

Here is the Keepsake stamp set:

Maybe Christmas

This is my August card is for the monthly swap that Pam hosts on SCS.  Each month we make 8 cards and include a matching envelope.  They can be any theme for any month.  All of the swappers are wonderful and I have received awesome cards each and every month.

I inked up one of my great stamp sets from The Project Bin called Maybe Christmas. I die cut the image and layer with My Favorite Things-MFT Stitched Arch Stax. I used a package of Stampin' Up Merry Moments Designer Series Paper again for the background and the strip under the die cuts. I added Stampin' Up 1/8" Old Olive Taffeta ribbon for the embellishment.  I think everyone can use another Christmas card.

Sending Hugs!

This is my card for August's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month. This is the third month of our new round--join me through the rest of 2020 and into 2021.

Maggie is the hostess this month and sent everyone this great image from CC Designs called Scaredy Cat. Maggie also included two fun sentiments and some cute patterned paper.

I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I used two of the patterned papers for the background.   I added one of the sentiments, but I am not sure any one is taking me up on a hug from this cat!

Here is the inside of my card:

The Creative Card Chicks are to post our cards between the 21st and 23rd of each month--so if you check the blogs on my sidebars, you may see more of these wonderful creations!  Many of our members also post their card in our SCS thread--so you might find more there.  Be sure to come back and join us again in September with an image that Terry sends out.

Glamper Camper!

This is my card for the 51st round of the UIS--Unidentified Image Swap on SCS.   Yes, the 51st round!  It is a group of ladies who are a part of a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The unidentified part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted.   The image for this round was provided by Nancy!  She will swap the cards and include the next image that Carol sent in our return envie. And then we get to do it all again--for round #52--in October!

Nancy sent everyone this sweet Avery Elle image called Glamper Campers.  She said this set just makes her happy and she thought we all could use some cards to build each other up these days!  That is so true!!!!!

I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and found some fun camping patterned paper for my background. A bit of Stampin' Up Old Olive Chevron Ribbon is the added touch.

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the other blogs listed on my sidebars, you may find some other swappers who have posted their creations within the past couple of days as they date to post was on the 18th--or they may post in the upcoming days. You can also check out SCS and use the keyword UIS51 to see some posted there.  I hope everyone in the swap likes my card--and that you do too!

Sparkle With Words!

Today is the third Wednesday of the month and this is my Ready, Set, Go Challenge Card! The 3 Musketeers--Kelly, Jeanette and me--are back with another challenge for August, our 40th month!  That means we are into our 4th year--YAY!

Kelly provided the challenge for August: Sparkle With Words!

Kelly sent each of us a different word that is die cut from sweet sparkly cardstock.  We are to make a card with only that die cut word and no stamps!

Ready? Set? Go!

I received the word Happy!  It sure is pretty and I thought a black and gray card would be a perfect match.  I used one of my favorite Stampin' Up embossing folders called Tufted for some texture on the background.  I then added a few black rhinestones on various spots for more shimmer.

Here is the inside of my card:

Please be sure to check out the other Ready, Set, Go cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card. I am up for the next theme, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on the 3rd Wednesday in September!

Mixed Up Cake Party!

It is the 15th of the month and that means I am showing you a new Dueling Darlings card.  And, it is out 10th Anniversary or Birthday for this group and we are celebrating!  We have been celebrating in the thread for the past month and it has been a blast.  Our leaders, Kelly and Jeanette have posted party games and it has been a blast!  For this month's card, Kelly sent everyone on both teams a kit so Jeanette even got one to play with.  And, there has been a shake-up of a sort for the groups this round.  When Kelly made the two sets of kits--one set of 6 for the Dazzlers and the other set for the Divas, she asked someone in her house to put a kit in an envelope and sealed it up. So-when Kelly sent out the kits and even probably opened her own, the kit might have been for the same group or the other. So--when I received my Party Card kit, there was a note that for the August Duel, I am a Dazzler!  And, there were fun things in the kit too--a banner, a noisemaker and lots of fun confetti!

The sweet image I received is from The Cat's Pajamas called Forget About the Cake. I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and cut the image and layer from Sizzix Dotted Ovals.  I also received some great sheets of pretty party patterned paper, so I used two layers as the background.  There were some a variety of fun embellishments.  I did a "Kelly" and used three buttons, and tucked one under the layer of the image.  I also layered some blue baker's twine over the pink ribbon on the bottom.  This was fun card kit to make up and I hope the other Dazzlers and even my former Divas like it!

Here is the inside of my card, with one of the fun sentiments:

And, there were a couple of other items in our kit.  Kelly put a golden ticket in each of our baggies and the winning ticket number will be posted in the thread.  She also included the numbers 1 and 0 for our 10th anniversary, so I took a picture of both!

I hope all of the Darlings--my new Dazzler team and my original Divas--enjoy my card this month. Please be sure to stop in to see what all of the Divas as well the Dazzlers have created this month.  Beth and Heather are the hostesses for September.  Please be sure to check back next month.

There are a few members who do not have blogs: Suzy and LJ who are on the Diva team and Debby and
Terry S who are Dazzlers. You will be able to check out their creations in their SCS gallery, if you click on the link for their name.  All of the others should be found on my left sidebar.  I am sure you will enjoy all of the wonderful PARTY creations this month!
