Sunshine of Hope

Today is the day I post a card for our challenge called Unused No More!  This is a monthly challenge to be posted on the 6th with a group of friends from my No Foolin' Retreat.  Some may post on their blog and I will note those with blogs at the end of this post.  And, some might post on other social media.  Those that participate each month will send a picture in the text thread we have between us, showing our creation.  The premise is to use a stamp set, stencil die, hot foil plate or press plate that is new and has never been used.  So--Unused No More!

My plan is to pick a different company each month to highlight and maybe even a different product than the month before.  For September, I picked a Studio Katia  Stamp Set that I have not used called Sunshine of Hope.  I think this set might have been from 2022 as an honor to Ukraine--maybe.........................

For my card, I colored the stamped image with my Copic Sketch Markers. It is a very large image and fills the entire panel, so I decided to add a white frame around it.  The die is an MFT Stitched Rectangle Frame and I layered 3 times in white.   The sentiment is from the same set and I die cut with a Pink & Main Extra Large Sentiment Strip.  I added some yellow bling from The Ton around the image.

I am not sure who will post each month on their blog, but this is a list of the other ladies who do have blogs.  Links to the blogs of JeanetteTerry, and Darlene Be sure to come back on October 6th to see another fun card from a set Unused No More.

Layered Eucalyptus

For August, I picked a Gina K Designs Floral Stamp Set that I have not used called Layered Eucalyptus Mini.  I have a number of the mini sets from Gina K.

For my card, I used three color companions ink cubes--Light, Medium and Dark Spruce from Gina K for the 3-piece layering stamp set. I die cut the panel and the backer with Gina's Master Layouts 2 die. I added a green panel behind the image that was embossed with a Stampin' Up folder called Subtle Dynamic--my favorite for a bit of texture!  The sentiment is from the same set.  I did not add anything else to this card--just a simple sympathy card.

Wrapped Bouquet

My plan is to pick a different company each month to highlight and maybe even a different product than the month before.  For July, I picked a Technique Tuesday Floral Stamp and Die Set that I have not used called Wrapped Bouquet.  I have a number of their small floral sets and picked this sweet one for July.

For this card, I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and then die cut the bouquet with the matching die.  I was watching a Gina K Designs video while I was creating this card and decided to use a "grounding" technique she was demonstrating.  I die cut a panel and the backer with Gina's Master Layouts 2 die.  I then used a Hero Arts stencil called Circular Grid and ink blended with Taylored Expressions Oyster ink lightly in the middle of the panel.  I added a vellum circle die cut from a Gina Marie Stitched Circle die and added the bouquet over the top. I also went with an Oyster card base instead of a traditional white, also suggested by Gina in the video.  I picked a sentiment from my stash and added some Studio Katia Stormcloud Pearls around the image.

Time to Grow

Today is the day I post a card (or two)  for our challenge called Unused No More!

For June, I picked a Taylored Expressions Combo Club Stamp and Stencil bundle that I have not used called Time to Grow.  I used a coordinating foil it packet instead of the stamp set. I foiled a bunch of panels with a few different foils and took the set along to a crafty retreat in MN over Memorial Day weekend.  I think I made a 6 or 8 cards with this set in a variety of colors.

For these cards, I laid out three foiled panels on my grip mat.   I inked blended the panels with my Pinkfresh Studio ink cubes that I took to the retreat. I used some die sets from Chris, who was sitting next to me for the sentiments.  I picked some metallic cardstock for the backer on some of the cards. I added some bling around the words.

Lovely Blooms

My plan is to pick a different company each month to highlight and maybe even a different product than the month before.  For May, I picked a Pinkfresh Studio bundle that I have not used called Lovely Blooms.I have many, many Pinkfresh Studio bundles and quite a few have not been inked yet.  The set comes with a stamp set, the matching dies and a 6-piece coordinating stencil set.

For my card,  I stamped the image with Hero Arts Intense Black ink.  I inked blended the florals with my Pinkfresh Studio ink cubes and I die cut the 3 images.  I used some new to me Taylored Expressions dies for the cover panel.  I first used the largest ridged arch stacklet to put the dashes in the panel.  I then picked a smaller arch stacklet die to cut the insert.  I then used foam tape behind the panel for dimension in the arch.  I added the 3 florals with foam tape and adhesive in and around the arch.  I added a silver sentiment on the card which is also from Pinkfresh.  Silver Drip Drops from Taylored Expressions are placed around the florals.

Hello Spring!

First--this is a bit of a sad day as it is the last day of the No Foolin' Retreat.  I am sure we all had an amazing time, but we will all be packing up to head home this afternoon.  But, we get to do it all over again in 2026--YAY!!!!!!!!

But also, today is the day I post a card for our challenge called Unused No More!

For April, I picked a Sweet Newton's Nook stamp that I have not gotten inky called Hello Spring.  I picked this company as they are only a few miles from the retreat house and a couple of year ago, Jen, the owner and designer of Newton's Nook, stopped for a make & take with us.  So Fun!

For my card,  I stamped the image with Hero Arts Intense Black ink. I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and used rainbow colors for the word Spring!  I die cut the image and backer with a MFT Die Set called Stitched Arch Stax.  I had planned to make a acetate card with a clear middle, but I got messed up in cutting the pretty patterned paper.  So, the raindrops are in the background and the Spring Umbrella pieces are connected with a strip of acetate, that is over the raindrops.    I added some Stampin' Up Dots around the image which has dimension over the paper and acetate.

My plan is to pick a different company each month to highlight and maybe even a different product than the month before.  For March, I picked a pretty Hero Arts stamp and die set that I have not gotten inky called Tulip Bouquet.  I also have the coordinating 4-piece stencil set called Color Layering Tulip Bouquet.

For my card,  I stamped the main image with Hero Arts Intense Black ink.   I then used Pinkfresh Studio Ink Cubes and ink blended over each of the stencils.  The sentiment is also from the same set and I also stamped and layered in black. I die cut the image and used foam tape for added dimension.  The background is a Honeybee Spring Leaves Cover Plate.  I added some yellow gems from The Ton around the image and some Stampin' Up linen thread as a bow.

My plan is to pick a different company each month to highlight and maybe even a different product than the month before.  For February, I picked a sweet Honey Bee stamp set that I have not gotten inky called Bee Young-Well Wishes.  It has a gardener image, a couple of flowers and grass, plus some sentiments.

For my card,  I stamped the main image, a flower and grass, plus the Wishing You Well sentiment in Hero Arts Intense Black ink.  I colored the images with my Copic Sketch Markers and then die cut the matching dies. I die cut a panel and a black backer from my Gina K Designs Master Layouts 2 and then embossed the white panel with a Taylored Expressions folder called Burlap for a bit of texture. I placed the images and sentiment on the panel, then adding two grass strips.

Unused No More

Today I am debuting a new challenge called Unused No More!

For January, I picked a Unity stamp set that I have not gotten inky called Simply Blessed.  It has a large image and a 6 sweet sentiments.

For my card,  I stamped the image and sentiment in Hero Arts Intense Black ink on a panel.  Since the image is so large, I added the sentiment to the same panel.  I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I then die cut the  white panel with the image and another white panel, both with Gina Marie Stitched Rectangles dies.  I added some Taylored Expressions Bits & Piece Rainbow Rhinestones around the image.
