Spring Rain

 

Today is the 9th of the month and here is my card for another The Three Musketeers post. This round, Jeanette was the hostess and sent out a sweet hedgehog image and sentiment from Spellbinders called House Mouse Spring Rain.  For July, this is card #143 and we are now in year #12!  I cannot believe this trio has been going strong coming up on 13 years! 

I colored the sweet image with my Copic Sketch Markers and die cut the image with Gina K Designs Master Layouts 2 set. I added a backer with a banner end to the cute sentiment Jeanette sent. I did not add any bling at all to this card.  I hope Jeanette and Kelly along with you enjoy my card!

Just Because

 

Today is the 25th and I am posting my card for the The Encore Challenge!  This is a monthly challenge with a group of friends from my April Retreat.  Some may post on their blog and I will note those with blogs at the end of this post.  And, some might post on other social media. Darlene came up with this challenge and these are her words:  Go and grab a stamp set, stencil or dies--your choice, that you have used once before and have always wanted to revisit it and use it again.  However, despite your best intentions, you have yet to use it!  Now's your chance! Go dig it out and have fun with it once again.  Create anything you like, a card, gift card holder, decorate a gift bag, make a refrigerator magnet...whatever lights up your creative juices! So--Encore Challenge! 

My plan is to pick a different company each month to highlight and maybe even a different product than the month before.  For June,  I picked a stamp set from Gina K Designs called Autumn Silhouettes.  I think I used this once before in a SCT Crop & Create class that Gina taught a few years ago.  

I first ink blending the background, picking one of the color combinations in my Taylored Expressions Palette Playbook.  This set is from the Cotton Candy page.  The colors from top to bottom are Cotton Candy, Kiwi, Dill Pickle and Pineapple. I then stamped one of the silhouette images from the set in the middle of the panel.  I used my Gina K Designs Master Layouts 2 for the two layers--the stitched layer from the blended panel and a black cardstock backer.  The sentiment is from a Taylored Expressions set. I added some Pinkfresh Studio Silver Metallic Pearls around the image.

Peaceful Petals

 

I am still working on my cards from the Scrapbook & Cards Spring 2026 Crop & Create Delivered event.  The pouches with each class has been waiting patiently for me from the event the end of March.  I was at my retreat the weekend of C&CD, so now I get to work at them at my own pace.

We received an amazing kit in our box. We received the Peaceful Petals Stamp Set, matching die set and coordinating color stencils.   Gina gave great tips on ink blending. It was a very fun class and I really like the florals in the set.

A LIttle Birdie

 

I have been working on my cards from the Scrapbook & Cards Spring 2026 Crop & Create Delivered event.  The pouches with each class has been waiting patiently for me from the event the end of March.  I was at my retreat the weekend of C&CD, so now I get to work at them at my own pace.  I posted the cards from Mindy for Pretty Pink Posh last week and have more to come!

We received an amazing kit in our box. We received the Love Birds Die Set, A Little Birdie stamp set, coordinating sentiment set, a matching die set along with coordinating rub-ons.  We also received a cute A2 Delight Patterned Paper Pack.  Laura showed us so many ways to use so many of the products in this class.  We made a shaker window card, a slider card and a quilt patch card.  The rub-ons are also very sweet and not at all like the rub-ons from years ago.  It was a very fun class and I really like the floral and birdie cards!

Gina K Double Duty

 

Today is the 22nd and it is Double Duty Day!  This is the 62nd month, so we are now into our 6th year!  More Doubling Up!

Each month, we get to pick a stamp set from a predetermined company. Then, we will use that one stamp set and make two cards from the set.  Different images and sentiments from the same set can be used, or use the same image two different ways—Double Duty either way!  But, as an added challenge, one item must be used on both cards—same color cardstock, same ribbon, same stencil, same something.  Double Duty Again!  We will post both cards on our blog on the the 22nd of each month.  See-Double Duty again!  We will be sure to have fun getting doubly inky each month with a different stamp company.  Let’s have fun!

For March we are back with Gina K Designs.  This is a favorite of all four of us and especially me.  The company is based in SE Wisconsin, about 20 minutes from my house.  I do miss her retail store that closed during Covid--it sure was fun to shop in person and see Gina herself!

I picked a sweet stamp set with the coordinating die set along with the matching stencils called Delicate Dahlias.  I used the same Pinkfresh ink cubes for blending the yellow flowers on both cards.  I went with a white on white bases for both of the floral images.  The sentiments and their matching dies are from the same set.

For this sympathy card, I used a Stampin' Up 3D Embossing Folder called Zinnis for the base layer.  I added a frame from Pinkfresh Studio die set called Pretty Frame.  I added some Studio Katia Lemon Burst Pearls around the image.

 

For the You are in my Thoughts card, I used a Brass & Bliss die called Lattice with Scallops Cover Plate and layered it three times.  I added some Pinkfresh Studio Leaf Glitter Drops around the image.

Sending Flowers

 

Today is the 15th and this is my card this month for our The Creative Crew!  We are a group of 6--Jeanette, Darlene, Lorraine, Terry, Tracie and me. Each month will be a new challenge posed by one of the members sending out a kit. For March, Jeanette sent us a fun kit with a sweet floral image from Gina K Designs called Sending Flowers.  She included 2 images already die cut, along with the sentiment.  She also sent some sweet patterned paper.  

I decided to use one of my newest Taylored Expressions Die Sets called All Planned Out 5.  It was perfect for the two polka dotted patterned paper along with the image and sentiment in the "windows".   I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers. I am glad Jeanette included two as my pink marker was too full and burped a big spot on the first one.................... I added foam tape behind the frame and made two windows.  I also added foam tape under the sentiment and image.   I added some Taylored Expressions Bits & Pieces Clear Drip Drops.

Fresh Cut Flowers

 

Today is the the 12th and it is time for another Hot Mess card. This card is #79, so we are into year #8. The idea of Hot Mess ~ Success is to Get Messy and you will have Success!  Messiness can be almost anything that we come up with--glitter, alcohol inks, glimmer glitz, sponged backgrounds, etc., anything that is a bit messy.  We are a very fun group and will post a card each month on the 12th.  The links to the other members are on my left side bar and I will also link them at the bottom at this post.

For my messiness this month, I took out some Ken Oliver Color Bursts that I think I have not used in 3-4 years!  I used watercolor cardstock and spritzed the paper with water.  I then added 3 colors--Pthalo Green, Ultramarine Blue and Lemon Yellow.  I kept adding color and spritzed water until the entire panel was covered. I used my heat tool between layers. I die cut the colored panel and a black backer with my Gina K Designs Master Layouts 2.  I then picked a fun die set from Taylored Expressions called Fresh Cut Flowers and used scraps of yellow and green for the florals.  The die sentiment is from Pinkfresh Studio called Scripted Greetings. I finally used a Taylored Expressions Cross Stitch Rectangle Stacklet for a border on the card base panel.  I did not add any bling as the card is very colorful as is!

A Bit of Spring

 

Today is the 9th of the month and it is now time for another The Three Musketeers post. This round, I am the hostess and I sent us out a cute floral image and two sentiments from the Gina K Designs set called A Bit of Spring. I am wishing it comes soon to Wisconsin!  For March, this is card #139 and we are now in year #12!  I cannot believe this trio has been going strong coming up on 13 years! 

I colored the sweet floral image with my Copic Sketch Markers. I die cut a Gina K Designs Cover Plate called 3D Diamonds three times for the background. I  wanted another layer under the cover plate as it is not a full panel, so I die cut the scalloped layer from my MFT Blueprints 27 set.  I added the sentiments and some pink bling from The Ton around the image.   I hope Jeanette and Kelly along with you enjoy my card!

Sending Warm Winter Hugs

 

Today is the 9th of the month and it is now time for another The Three Musketeers post. This round, Kelly is the hostess and sent us a sweet sowman image and two sentiments from the Gina K Designs set called Snowflake Kisses. Isn't it a fun image for the three of us!   For February,  this is card #138 and we are now in year #12!  I cannot believe this trio has been going strong for 12 1/2 strong years! 

I colored the cute snowmen with my Copic Sketch Markers.   I used Wink of Stella to add some glitter and shine on the ball at the top their hats along with the snow below them. I picked a Brass & Bliss die called Nested scallop Ovals and cut the center of a white panel.  I then embossed the panel with a Simon Says Stamp folder called Snowflake Oval.  I added foam tape under the oval when I placed it over the snowmen image.  I added one of the sweet sentiments in the corner and added some white sequins around the image.   I hope Jeanette and Kelly along with you enjoy my card!

We received an amazing kit in our box. We received a sweet 5-piece color layering stencil set called Autumn Splendor along with the You Are The Best Stamp and Cut set.  Channin showed us so many ways to use the fun stencil set--layering on colored cardstock, turning it upside down and having the image coming from the top along with using the 5th stencils that covers the entire background.  It was a very fun class and I really like the fall floral cards!

Just Skating By

We received an amazing kit in our box. We received a sweet Skating By stamp set and the matching die set. Add to that a cute tree stamp and the matching stencil.  We also got a 6x6 Dazzling Snowflakes stencil. Also in the kit was a jar of Unicorn Horn Lunar Paste and 2 bottles of Solar Spray.  Simon taught us many techniques on how to use the inks, sprays and paste in various ways.  It was a very fun class and I really like the cards!

Let it Snow!

 

Today is the day I post a card for our challenge called Unused No More!  This is a monthly challenge to be posted on the 6th with a group of friends from my No Foolin' Retreat.  Some may post on their blog and I will note those with blogs at the end of this post.  And, some might post on other social media.  Those that participate each month will send a picture in the text thread we have between us, showing our creation.  The premise is to use a stamp set, stencil die, hot foil plate or press plate that is new and has never been used.  So--Unused No More!  

My plan is to pick a different company each month to highlight and maybe even a different product than the month before.  For January, I picked a Brass & Bliss Stamp and Die that I have not used called Penguin. I think he is so dang cute and I can always use more Winter or Christmas Cards.

For my card, I decided to make a gate-fold card.  I had just watched a live with Gina K Designs and her 12 Days of Christmas Kit where she made some with her Day 11 gift.  I picked some fun patterned paper that kind of coordinates with the fun stamped penguin image. I used Gina's Master Layouts 13 to cut the stitched panels and the backers--first time using that set too!!!!  I stamped and colored the penguin with my Copic Sketch Markers, then die cut.  I added a stitched circle behind the penguin which overlaps the middle opening.  I also used a stitched circle die to cut the sentiment, which I popped up so the circle with the image slips under it.  I added some lime green enamel dots by the image.
