Reindeer Wishes

This is my card for a swap called the SIS--Surprise Image Swap.   This is card #12 for our group.  It is a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The surprise part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted--the 18th of every other month.   The image for this round was provided by Terry.  She will swap the cards and include the new image for round #13 that I stamp in everyone's return envie. Then--we do it all again in February!  We have completed one round and now are on to another one!

Terry sent everyone this sweet image from Simon Says Stamp called Oh, Deer!  She included the coordinating sentiment too. I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers. I die cut the image and backer with Gina K Designs Master Layouts 2.  I picked a snowflake Patterned Paper from Teresa Collins called Christmas Cottage. I die cut the snowflake layer and the backing layer from the same Master Layouts 2.   The backer and the flag banner are Opal Mirricard from The Paper Cut.  Again, using Master Layouts 2, I did cut the sentiment for more stitching.  I added some red enamel dots and a bit of Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen on his nose for the final touch

If you check some of the other blogs listed on my sidebars, you may find some other swappers who have posted their creations.  The due date is today, the 18th, or they may post in the upcoming days. You can also check out SCS and use the keyword SIS12 to see some posted there.  I hope everyone in the swap likes my card--and that you do too!

Witch Switch!

This is card #10 for my October One + 12 card!  This is a very fun, monthly challenge with Kelly and Jeanette to use one stamp only, each month, for one + 12!  For 2020, I am using my Taylored Expressions image called Big Grumpy.  I am able to add one of the coordinating sentiments from the set.  I think he is a hoot!

This month, of course for Halloween,  I used one of the sentiments from the Big Grumpy Halloween Set.  I colored Big Grumpy with my Copic Sketch Markers and used the matching die to cut him out.   I also colored and die cut the witch's hat and pumpkin!  This sentiment is perfect for this month!
The two background papers are from Teresa Collins called Masquerade Party.  I added 3 purple enamel dots to the top!

Here is the inside of my card:

Please be sure to check out the other One plus Twelve cards.  Here are links to Jeanette's and Kelly's blogs. I am sure you will enjoy checking out the one stamp set each of them picked for 2020 and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card and that you might too! Be sure to check back for the next two months on the 3rd to see our cards!

Wonder Women!

Today is third Wednesday of the month and this is my Ready, Set, Go Challenge Card! The 3 Musketeers--Kelly, Jeanette and me--are back with another challenge for December-our 31st month!  That means we are well into our third year--YAY!

I provided the challenge for December: In 1976, on December 18th, ABC debuted a new series called Wonder Woman.  Each of us are Wonder Women—in our own individual and unique ways.  The challenge is to make a card or project that you feel depicts how you see one of the other of our trio is a Wonder Woman.  I went alphabetically:

Barb will make a card/project that highlights Jeanette
Jeanette will make a card/project that showcases Kelly
Kelly will make a card/project that portrays Barb
Ready? Set? Go!

I thought for a bit about this challenge and knew exactly what I wanted to highlight about Jeanette--Christmas and her love of the Blessed Season of the birth of baby Jesus.  Jeanette loves to decorate for the holidays though she will admit at times she feels the pressure to do so!  She has now picked up a part time job and that has taken her away from her house during this busy season.  I am sure her house is beautiful and she has numerous trees that twinkle and shine!

I used a retired Stampin' Up image called Prince of Peace and die cut the image and background with the Stampin' Up Deco Label Dies.  The background is patterned paper from Teresa Collins called Snowflakes from the Christmas Cottage line.  A few glimmer enamel dots add a bit of shine.  Jeanette is a Wonder Woman in this time of Wonder!

Here is the inside of my card.

Please be sure to check out the other Ready, Set, Go cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card.  Jeanette is up for the next theme, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on the 3rd Wednesday in January!

I made two sets of Christmas cards and this fall card.
